While I received PT services from about all of the physical therapists (Jessica and Mercedes), Brittany really was instrumental in taking the time to learn what verbal cues were key during in my recovery and PT sessions, and how quickly improvement came about with my gait. Every single person in that office was nothing less than wonderful in working with me, even though my schedule would've been maddening to me with how many times I had to switch things around. I had ultrasound a couple of times. Heat and stim were offered each time but I declined. The focus was (rightly) on exercises, which progressed as my back improved. They used a phone app "StriveHub" to remind me of the exercises, which included videos and number of reps, etc. I found the app to be superior to the photocopied instructions but wish I'd asked for the photocopies for my permanent reference on the last day.

My physical therapist was very knowledgeable and advised me to try to walk without the walker at home when possible, after that I gained a lot of confidence. I made steady progress from mid May through my final session in August. I am back to walking, bending and doing my regular things around the house. We appreciate how honest the therapist was about how she didn't see any underlying concerns with her in this area and was not pushy about continuing therapy sessions. But we did discuss perhaps occupational therapy to help her with feeding for future development. So we booked a few feeding OT sessions with Nadia and my daughter was in love with her from day 1. She was kind, patient and instantly connected with our daughter in trying to pin point the best way to encourage her to open up on how she interacts with food. Would highly recommend.

My son has been attending speech therapy sessions at Fairfax Pediatric Therapy since early January…read more He is almost 9 and has always struggled with his "s," "sh," and "ch" sounds - but we waited to see if he would grow out of it (he didn't). On recommendation of our dentist, we tried some videos to help him with speech, but we were not successful on our own. After a Zoom call with Ariel and Ahmad, the speech therapist, we felt very confident and comfortable with Fairfax Pediatric Therapy. After the first session, my son made huge strides in his "sh" sounds - he was actually able to articulate it correctly, even if it was a struggle. Long story short, as of today (3 months after starting) Finn has met all of his speech goals and no longer needs the services. Both Ahmad and Finn worked hard to make this happen - and in such a short time. I didn't expect progress so fast, to be honest. Not only that - my kiddo actually looked forward to the sessions. Ahmad took the time to get to know his interests - chess and strategy games - and built the sessions around play. When we left today, for the last time, Finn said he was going to miss his friend. They are attentive, are service oriented- have been able to accommodate our challenging schedule needs. Therapists are all very energetic and enthusiastic, and our kid loves coming here. Facilities seem great. Front desk staff are very attentive and kind. Being in healthcare I have to say they are doing an amazing job. There are so many limitations and restrictions and things that get in the way of a patient and getting what they need.
