All of the employees and volunteers here are compassionate and understanding. My best to the support groups for moms and dads. They are empowering people. This is close to the police station, and the old town part of Fairfax City. There's plenty of parking, and as expected fully ADA compliant. You can find a variety of support folks along with programs. Everyone here does it as a calling. It's something special to see. For your kids and all, may everyone continue to thrive.

The intake evaluation is quite long, but the team at ITC was so warm and personable that my 2-year old was able to sit through it with no issues at all. The team is incredibly knowledgeable about toddler speech development and patiently, expertly, and compassionately answered all of my questions after the intake. They provide such a comprehensive evaluation that makes you feel like you're in good hands right from the get-go. The speech therapist we were connected with, through Therapy 4 Kids, Chandra Williams, was truly exceptional in providing me with a tailored toolkit to help my son catch up in his language development. She is very intelligent, intuitive, personable, and our sessions seemed to fly-by. I implemented her suggestions week to week and noticed a monumental improvement in my sons speech in just a couple of months. He went from "atypical" language development to catching up to his peers in such a short time frame and I credit that improvement to Chandra's expert support. My son loved his sessions with Chandra, and would often cry when she left. Throughout the entire process, Meghann McConnell checked in periodically to follow-up and see how the sessions were going, which was very much appreciated and made us feel well taken care of. I can't say enough good things about ITC and will be forever grateful to them for supporting my son as he overcame this challenge.

The evaluation resulted in my daughter being a year behind with articulating words as she spoke. Debbie's recommendation was for my daughter to get speech therapy at a facility, as my daughter is a real 'wiggle worm'. Debbie recommended a place, but unfortunately my daughter's insurance denied the claim since she did not experience a trauma or birth defect, which caused her delayed speech. In the meantime, Debbie is working with my daughter every week in our home to provide therapy. She does such a FANTASTIC job with my 'wiggle worm' that my daughter gets excited when she knows Debbie is coming and when she arrives. My daughter's speech has definitely improved since Debbie started working with her. Her sentences are longer, she is clearer, and I understand more words when she talks. My daughter even says, "Ms. Debbie says do this or that..." I would definitely recommend Eat, Speak, Play!

With multiple children, a small bruise is what triggers a CPS no-notice visit? Incompetent staff will let children scream in agony recovering from anesthesia, but don't show up with a normal kid with bruises! Might get a CPS visit that will stick with you unnecessarily! Anybody know a good lawyer for a lawsuit? Oh, let's not forget we're waiting for his appointment to check his vision and ensure he doesn't need glasses like his older sibling. But go ahead, call CPS. What could improve? Hire competent staff, learn to communicate with the family, and maybe rethink HCA priorities and values. But what's that to the bottom line of a for-profit health system cesspool? Edit: So since you guys inserted an IV and left a bruise on my kid from the IV, does that mean I can sue for malpractice? The CPS lady that visited called it a BS report and said they get a ton of BS calls from this location (HCA), so I used a bit of sarcasm, but seriously... check your kid over for bruises before you go here and if your kiddo does have a bruise, ask if anyone called CPS before you leave the location!
