Currently, I'm seeing Dr. Dana Shillington and am extremely happy with the care I get. I'm a distance runner and she has been instrumental in keeping me healthy and injury-free, despite my history with some back and neck issues and a prior pelvic injury. In addition to being an excellent doctor, she (and everyone in this office) are incredibly nice! I actually look forward to every single appointment, both because I know I'll walk out feeling physically better overall and because I genuinely enjoy seeing everyone there. Thank you so much for keeping me running healthy.

My first bill wasn't even sent until over eight months after my last date of service. They didn't even try to properly bill my insurance providers, came up with every excuse in the book, and gave a series of backwards excuses every single time. After all this time and promises to get back to me with updates or communicate with my insurance, I finally gave up. Honestly take your business literally anywhere else because it is NOT worth taking it here. I never seek out places to write a negative review. Ever. I don't take it lightly. This is just something I wish I knew before I stepped foot in their practice, and it would've saved me over 18 months of headaches and frustration.

Couldn't sit for long periods of time, reduced flexibility, occasional spasms, was going through all of it. I wasn't in dire straits day to day anymore, but I was living a reduced version of a previously very active life. Which makes me so glad my orthopedic MD referred me to Dr. Sam. All I can say is that I made more progress with Sam in my first month than I had in the prior year. Not long after that and I am basically back to normal, which I had started to believe was a pipe dream. We initially did physical therapy, but now I'm seeing Sam as a personal trainer since I've basically graduated from the physical therapy component of it. For me, Dr. Sam helped me get from 70% (where I had been stuck for over a year) to 95% plus. So I can't recommend this place for anyone in a similar boat, or anyone looking for great trainers and physical therapists period!

Then, about two years ago, I found Performance Care Clinics, and especially Dr. Sam Hodous, in Arlington's Courthouse neighborhood. He gives me enormous amounts of his undivided attention and a lot of information, puts me through several exercises (as well as massage and dry needling), sends me videos of exercises to do in the next weeks, and follows up very well. He produces better results than surgery and the big companies while taking less of my time and money. And "Look, Ma, no crutches!" Although injuries are never fun, I actually look forward to seeing him and his colleagues.

She used manual therapy techniques, joint mobilization and manipulation, and sometimes cupping therapy. The run analysis and run form retaining, complete with videos and a written exercise plan, helped me heal an allow me to perform injury-free. Dr. Meg Pezzino, physical therapist at MovementX, showed me how to move correctly, stay injury free, and help me get back to running, swimming and biking after a sports-related injury. She used hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, slow motion movement analysis of my run to help adjust my form (posture, gait, stride length), and cupping therapy. These all helped alleviate much of the pain I was experiencing while running. I can't speak highly enough of each PT, and give a strong endorsement to MovementX. I would be remiss if I didn't add that their billing department is extremely helpful, efficiently dealing with insurance reimbursement issues.

Unfortunately, the ortho was going to be booked out for more than a month!!! Very fortunately, I decided to start PT to hopefully get relief before my consult, now I'm almost 100% better in pain, range of motion from the manual therapy, exercises, and modified movements learned here. My therapist, Marco, is FANTASTIC!! He's so knowledgeable and takes his time. Also, he's a miracle worker!! I definitely felt like I had a new knee after the first visit and I am getting progressively better. Furthermore, they understand my goals of getting back to the gym and my normal fitness level and are progressing me toward that!! The front desk staff here is amazing - she was able to get me an appt within a few days of me calling. Also called me back ASAP on my insurance benefits. Super professional!!! Thank you guys so much for the ways you go above and beyond!!! Tips: parking in private lot around the building. They validate parking. They do not accept AMEX

Ivy was the only place that would guarantee the availability of short-term daily PT as requested by my surgeon (and covered by insurance). I was extremely fortunate to have treatment by Gregory B., who provided skilled, patient, effective care (no handing off to exercise technicians). He paid attention, answered questions thoroughly, made suggestions for different approaches, and was very kind and patient. The staff are diligent about cleaning surfaces, and the receptionists are excellent at handling appointments and other requests. There is plenty of parking, which is comped by Ivy. In addition to "routine" PT, the practice also offers other helpful treatment, such as dry needling - which helped me almost immediately - and for Meniere disease (vertigo). The vibe is excellent, not too crowded nor too loud and everyone is friendly and helpful.
