The Doc said it was one of the worst tears he had ever seen. The therapists were conscientious of this and approached with extreme care. I initially started out three visits per week. The PT eased me to the pain and not through it as prescribed by the Doc. Over time my motions were normalizing. The PTs kept testing my movement abilities, and again not pushing. I was "handled with care". Eventually I reduced my number of visits to 2 visits a week then every other week. I am back to normal, or at least 99%. I would like to thank Nancy for having such a great group of PTs who assisted me, Petya, Kim, Courtney, Jacob, Allison and Nancy herself. I don't recommend injuries to anyone but if you must be injured and you require rehab, Ascend comes highly recommended.

I've gone to several PT practices over the years for different issues, and they are among the best I've experienced. I've made very rapid progress thanks to the care I've received, and have no doubt I will reach 100% in the near future if I finish my regimen at Ascend. I did have a session with Yanna Zhou who was also pleasant to work with. Just about everyone at the facility are kind and helpful! This was my first time doing physical therapy every and didn't know what to expect. PT Solutions Tysons was so bad, that I couldn't wait to get checked out at Inova. I had a sciatic nerve injury on my left side, which was hindering my basic ability to walk, sleep, and sit. My first consultation was with Arturo, and he gave me dedicated 1:1 time, that I never got at PT Tysons. He asked me several questions, gave me some exercises, and was so knowledgeable. The best thing about this place is that they give you 1:1 time with the physical therapist, and I love that. Its not just about giving you some exercises, while they look at other patients. They are with you, even when you are doing the exercises. Within two weeks of therapy, Arturo realized that I was not getting better, and that the issue is not the hip but my back. Within a month of therapy, my pain was reduced by 40%. I loved that they tried different solutions on me, sometimes with deep massages, sometimes with exercises, and sometimes with machines. I started therapy with Inova Physical Therapy in June 2024, and I am already 80% better. I have stuck with one therapist only, and that has worked for me. The only downside is getting appointments. This place is so popular that getting appointments with the therapist of your choice can be very hard. So book ahead. Like any other medical facility, it all depends on who your doctor/therapist is. A bad therapist can make the injury worse. I can vouch for Arturo and this place for physical therapy after my terrible experience at another location. Because of this, I specifically need therapists who understand that overexertion makes my symptoms worse, not better. Unfortunately, my experience at PT Solutions has been consistently negative. Despite telling the therapists multiple times that I needed a gentler approach, they continued to push me far beyond what my body can safely tolerate. On two separate occasions, the exercises they insisted on left the bottoms of my feet burning and so sore that I couldn't walk normally for an entire day. Every time I explained my situation, the response was a quick "that's fair" or "I understand," but nothing actually changed. My concerns never registered. At my last session, they even had me walk on a treadmill for 8 minutes at 2.2 mph, which caused a thigh tendon spasm afterward. Their attitude seemed to be that I "need to push through and build endurance," completely missing that my condition is neurological, and pushing harder only worsens it. This clinic does not seem equipped to treat patients with complex medical or neurological conditions. The approach felt more like generic workout coaching than personalized therapy. I now understand why their overall rating is only 3.7 stars. I've canceled all remaining appointments. If you have any condition where exertion can trigger symptoms, I would strongly recommend seeking a more knowledgeable and individualized practice.

The Dr assessed me on day 1 and I was dismissed. When I returned on day 2, I was handed several printouts from the same Dr of how to do some exercises and was dismissed. Oh yeah, he did offer to prescribe me 50 or 60 potent ibuprofen pills. WTF?! Ok...good-bye for good and I never returned. Enter PT Solutions at Tysons. They had me assessed and working out on Day 1. Mr Shipp was my intake person and he was stellar, attentive, friendly, conducted some exercises to see my limitations, explained everything he did and why, and actively listened to me as he took notes regarding how he wanted to set up my personal PT plan. I am going on my third week here as I was prescribed by Mr Shipp to attend PT 3x a week for my issue. I have worked with many physical therapists here and they are all great. I am looking forward to getting back to optimal health as I've already seen some improvements in this short time frame.

Mike has a memory of an elephant- seems to know and remember every one of his patients' issues and regimen, so I always trust and know Mike will recommend what's best and enhance exercises as we go.
