    Crawfish soup.

This restaurant is not only sells bakeries but also serves delicious cajun food at very reasonable price and decent quantity. I'm surprised this lovely cafe didn't get more awareness that it deserves. Their po boy sandwich is the must order dish. They use special fluffy bread and stuff tons of crispy fry goodies inside, that texture was unbelievable good. I like their corn&crawfish&pepper soup a lot, it is probably the best corn soup in town. I've tried their breakfast menu and I was pretty happy about it. For less than 5 bucks, I got three eggs, one medium bowl of grits, two wheat toasts and one sausage. Their waitress has the sweetest southern manner and always treat you like an old friend. We got to talk to their owner and he mentioned he is going to add some very creative delicious comfort food to the menu, I can't wait! The menu basically contains zero vegetable options, vegetarians won't find anything to eat here but fries and onion rings. Overall, great spot for lunch. I will definitely go back, like, tomorrow.

Mold heaven. Huge spores on donut twist

Worst customer service and food ever. Donut twist had a mold spore on it and they had the nerves to still serve it. How do you not see that!

The food was ok. I wasn't super impressed by any means. If I go back I'm sticking to donuts only.

Can't beat the breakfast special. Get home cooking at a reasonable price. Don't forget they have a drive thru window for pickup.

That was so kind, and it moved me. Many "social" experiences feel so impersonal and isolated now; and I've always felt that making, eating, and sharing food should not feel that way, and, at Beignets & More, walking into the space feels humanizing, like you've been welcomed to a family meal, even if you're on your own. My friend and I both had pots of green tea and ordered pho, which came out within 10 minutes. I have wheat/gluten allergies and confirmed that the pho here is gluten free. The brisket pho was great, and I'll definitely come back to try the chicken, rare steak, and veggie--or to get a big container of their terrific broth to go when I'm feeling a cold coming on. (I'm sure other menu items are worth trying too!) Both the son and his dad came around during our meal to gently ask "everything is good?" I'll be here often as long as I live in New Orleans. -- Bonuses: In the table caddy with hoisin sauce, sriracha, napkins, and spoons, there are also real chopsticks to use--not the wooden, to-go ones many restaurants offer even when you're dining in. Parking at the strip mall is easy.

My first visit I enjoyed a Vietnamese iced coffee (espresso and condensed milk) and beignets, which were so delicious. You have a choice of three regular beignets that are huge, or nine mini beignets that remind me of funnel cake! I have returned for another cup of coffee and well as their chargrilled shrimp Vietnamese poboy and rare round eye or eye round pho. The poboy is absolutely wonderful and the pho was delicious. This will be my go to at times when I wanted a shrimp poboy, great substitute for the fried ones. You can dine in or take out. The owners are so nice and definitely know their regulars. Until we meet again!

At that time, we knew nothing about it, and nothing about what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. It was less than a block, and, so, an easy walk. There were still two other places nearby, but this is the one we chose, and the one we stuck with. I love the various history of New Orleans, and this restaurant is located in an old, historic building that used to be a bank. It's even rumored that Bonnie and Clyde once robbed the bank there, but that's not likely true, and there's no evidence to support the claim. Still, "stories" like that are part of New Orleans' charm. You'll find similar stories all over town, and if there aren't stories, someone will make one up, or add a ghost. It makes it fun. Right away, and almost immediately upon entering, we noticed the entire place was pretty clean. That's a good start. Of course, it was fairly early in the morning, but always a plus. We immediately noticed as well that the staff were very friendly, inviting, and accommodating. When you're still tired in the morning, it's nice to go into a clean, quiet place for a bite to eat, and be treated well, and with respect. The quiet was especially nice, and that's partly because this place is in a neighborhood, and not in any crowded business district. The food is good, too. They offer a very good variety and selection of breakfast/brunch fare, and they serve "French Truck" coffee. There's a lot of good coffee in New Orleans, but I like French Truck, and the fact that it is a local business. As for the food itself, I've already mentioned the good variety, including Southern treats you don't find just anywhere, but it also good to note that the portions are good, the presentation nice, and the flavors satisfying. All of the staff were very, very nice, but, as it often does in New Orleans, the service was not really quick. It was quick enough, though, and offered us all the time to enjoy our coffee, and our conversation while making mutual plans for the day ahead. When we were there, we went several times, and we tried several other places. Ruby Slipper stood out as a favorite. Of all the things it is, or isn't, it is definitely "very" New Orleans.

One friend didn't like her meal and it came out cold. They also forgot her tea and then just brought her a packet with hot water instead of making it. I ordered the gulf shrimp omelet, which tasted good but was on the smaller side. The grits and biscuit were both good, and my coffee was solid. The French toast bites we shared were probably the best thing we had. Our server seemed friendly at first, but when we tried to wave her down multiple times, it felt like we were being ignored. I've honestly never experienced that before at a restaurant. The atmosphere itself was clean and welcoming, which I appreciated.
