Given Chipotle napkins and when I asked why they're using napkins from a nearby business, was just told "we're outta napkins". This is troubling and feels unsanitary to think we were handed someone's lunch leftovers. Promptly asked for a full refund which was provided, but only they called the owner.

In the case of Crack'd its much much worse. The toffee is otherworldly and its impossible to put down. I only have experience with the Original Toffee. Its buttery crunchy taste with a slight smokiness and vanilla undertones is among the best I have tasted. The almonds help cut the sweetness and add a needed savor componenet to the whole affair. Its coupled with the semi sweet chocolate which for my palate is perfect. Full on milk chocolate would be too overwhelming IMHO. Its a small family run local business and has excellent customer service. They can be found locally at several grocery stores or at fairs and the like. Better yet they have a website that allows for super easy ordering. I'm not in the habit of making requests in reviews but I for one would love to see: Toffee with just the almonds Toffee with pistachios and lastly I throw down the gauntlet with some Honeycomb toffee!

As we were on our way, I wanted to confirm the time and only then did I realize the rezzie was for Sunday, not Saturday...nightmare! We decided to give it a go anyway. As I walked in, I was greeted by the owner, Roseanne and explained my dilemma. Like the superwoman she was, she accommodated our party of three and we were seated right away. SUPER GOLD STAR! During tea service, Vampire Penguin is transformed into a quaint tea room with beautifully decorated tables and a sign out from notifying customers of the change in their venue. We ordered the King & Queen Tea Service and the hostess, Erica, was gracious, accommodating, and very friendly. Their selection of teas is plentiful with terrific descriptions. Erica even helped me choose between two teas and her suggestion was spot on. The teas we selected were London High Tea for the MIL, the Hubster was delighted with Key Lime Pie, and I ordered Candy Caramel (if you love the flavor of Carmel apples look no further). Service began with a toasted crumpet including butter and jam. A very yummy and different way for us to have started tea. We all agreed, however, it was a winner. Our lovely tiered service featured assorted sandwiches, scones, fresh strawberries and cream, and a beautiful dessert. This was a LOT of food, prepared deliciously and beautifully. The best part is that we had some treats to bring home to snack on later when our very happy bellies are hungry again! Thank you Roseanne and Erica for going above and beyond. When a Rachel sundae costs $14.99, skimping on the toppings that are supposed to come with it is incredibly disappointing. For premium prices, customers expect premium consistency.
