Chef Stephanie and Jamie worked in beautiful syncrony to arrive at the Airbnb we were staying at and do a full take over... providing every detail from flower arrangements, table setup, to the beautiful 4 course meal (salad, soup, main, dessert). Chef went above and beyond to accommodate numerous food allergies and preferences within our group (celiac, soy, walnuts, pescatarian) providing 3 different options for the main course alone. Chef Stephanie catered an afternoon tea bridal shower I recently hosted. Chef was great at communicating during the planning process. She always responded in a timely manner, and is accommodating with dietary restrictions. One of the bridal shower guests is gluten intolerant (which I informed her of beforehand), so Chef Stephanie made gluten-free sandwiches for that guest. Also, our bride-to-be is vegetarian, and there were plenty of vegetarian options for the tea sandwiches, and the entire tea service was vegetarian. We opted for a drop off style catering since it was a tea service, and figured guests would be choosing their own items once they were on platters. The delivery person (Stephanie's husband whose name escapes me right now), was on-time, friendly, and professional. All of the food was absolutely delicious. From the cute little tea sandwiches, to the addicting petite fours, and shortbread cookies -- every guest loved the food. I'm still thinking about the blueberry scones. Delectable. Hands down - THIS is how I prefer to eat - healthy with so much flavor, texture, and balance in every bite and just the right touch of indulgence here and there. AND her presentation is on point. Chef Stephanie catered a small family reunion for me at my aunt's house last Saturday. I coordinated the event remotely from another state. We had a combination of pass around hot and cold Hor d'oeuvres and then a lunch with spinach salad, fish, chicken, and roasted vegetables with a cookie platter for dessert. The food was excellent. Chef and her team were very professional and prompt. The servers poured wine, passed out the appetizers, cleaned up and were very courteous to the guests. I wanted a jazz band to play for an hour at the end of the meal and the chef found a good one (Midtown Jazz, a trio) for me. She also contracted with a florist for me to provide pretty fall arrangements for the buffet and a few other spots. Now, she is not the cheapest game in town, but if you want an event executed properly without having to worry if it will come off well, she is your girl! I recently attended a clothing party with Chef Stephanie and the spread she had set out was to die for. There were cheeses of all kinds, fresh fruits and olives and nuts and everything was so very delicious. Not only yummy, but really pretty to look at. It was a great place to gather around the island in the kitchen at this party and talk with all the girls and eat something delicious. She also made these scrumptious bacon date bites that had goat cheese in the middle. Oh. My. Gawd. Sooooo good! I've been contemplating writing a review for the last week because I don't like to leave bad reviews but the lack of customer service I received is horrific. I asked chef Stephanie to come to my house for my husbands birthday. Not a big birthday just me him and our 2 maybe 3 KIDS. 4 or 5 total depending where my daughter would be on this day. Chef Stephanie sent me a menu which was followed up by a call to talk about the menu. We decided on a pretty simple American dinner. She asked for a payment to hold our spot. I sent over $950.00. Later that day my husband was talking about wanting a cheese platter for one of the appetizers. I called chef Stephanie to let her know what we'd like and she was confused what a cheese plate even is.. after explaining what it was we wanted she came up with three cheeses for the plate Brie, sharp cheddar & Havarti along with a fruit, jam & crackers. She said she'd send over the payment for the added appetizer... I was like wow more money for three cheeses.. paid the $100 and went about my day. I'm $1050.00 in at this point mind you I've had private chefs come to my south lake cabin cook a 4 course meal the main dish being wagyu & only paid $500. Plus a generous tip of course. So the price was crazy for me but hey it's my hubby he deserves the world. Fast forward a few days we find out our daughter will be joining us for sure for dinner so I tell chef Stephanie. She tells me with so many people (me my husband our three kids 5,5&7) she'll need a server to come along with her. I said sure no worries she sends me ANOTHER invoice.. $325 for a server.. mind you my kids can be served by us no problem.. she told me no if she's severing anybody over 4 people she'll need a server. At this point I'm overwhelmed... I called on the chef to make things easier on us and it's turning out to be a headache.. Our menu for the night was meatballs w marinara, a cheese plate & chicken skewers for our appetizer.. a salad as our first course FLANK steak w sautéed shrimp for our main course and crème brûlée for dessert.. Nothing special. I told her that I was overwhelmed and pregnant that's why I called on her for the dinner in the first place. I didn't want to have to worry about anything and here I am worrying about everything.. I told her forget the whole dinner I'm not paying an extra 325 for a server. I never got a partial refund never even heard from the lady again. I think it's completely unprofessional how things got handled because well nothing got solved! She got paid for nothing and didn't even offer to refund a dime. I'd never recommend her to anybody. Completely unprofessional. read more
