The best place to stop for food in Moynihan hall while waiting for your train. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone with Pastrami and a bagel which you usually don't see together. Everything tasted super fresh.

I was in the area and was looking for a place to stop for dinner. I found Pastrami Queen! I'm so glad I stopped here. My food was prepared very quickly. I only had to wait a few minutes. My pastrami sandwich also came with pickles, mustard and another sauce. My sandwich was warm and very flavorful. I would definitely order this again. I can't wait to order this again; I highly recommend it!

Solid place for pastrami or other sandwiches when in the area... The breakfast is only available til 10am or so. Have only been here for lunch a couple of times. Menu is plentiful to choose from. Had the Thanksgiving turkey sandwich a couple of times...it is good enough to share and very filling. The warm gravy is good and needed as the sandwich can get a bit dry. The sweet potato knish is also good and shareable. Also tried the Chicken Queen - good as well, which was a lunch special. Yes a bit pricey for the area, but so are all the places in the Moynihan Food Hall. Will be back to try other options. Not too busy if getting ahead of the lunch crowd and food is ready pretty quick. Good to order food on the go especially for those with a train to catch...

Decided to give this vendor a try for my dinner on the Amtrak. I've never heard of this business, unlike all of the other food vendors in Moynihan Food Hall. They earned a spot in the food hall, so they must be good. I ordered their Special of the Day ($18), which they had on a small blackboard. At the time, its was a chicken cutlet and fried pastrami sandwich, which was a delicious combination of meats to consume. Would come back to try other items in the future.

I really enjoyed my food! I've been to some of the 'deli palaces' of NYC... and while this is just a little station in the Moynihan Train Hall food area... I thought it was a real treat to get a fresh made sandwich, matzo ball soup and some Mac salad to take on the train. The bread was fresh and nicely toasted. The meat was fresh sliced while I watched. The Reuben was really tasty! The matzo ball soup was also great. Just like the big deli palaces-- definitely not cheap---but I would definitely get food here again.

TLDR: If you want a pastrami sandwich - it's fine. Personally felt the portion was quite small and not quite overflowing with meat as the signs might suggest. Got the half sandwich and soup combo. Matzoh ball soup was pretty tasty, nice texture on the ball, broth was decent and noodles tasty. Sandwich (even as a half sandwich) I felt was very small. The pastrami quantity was what I'd expect from a sandwich at Pret. Flavor was decent, the meat was tender but just not enough of it for me. Maybe if I'm in the area and ferociously craving pastrami, I'd try it again. I'd get the whole sandwich this time but still doubt whether or not it will be as overstuffed as the menu calls it.

I ordered a pastrami sandwich and requested it to be toasted. The pastrami sandwich is $18. It came with two pickles on the side, mustard, and thousand island sauce. The ordering process was quick and seamless.

Thrilled to find an outpost of the Queen in Moynihan Hall! And it's possible to order matzo ball soup with a slab of bread to eat before boarding Amtrak. How lucky is that! Never thought I'd look forward to taking Amtrak before. Game changer with Pastrami Queen in the house.

I couldn't ask for anything better out of this small storefront of Pastrami Queen. The service was very quick and friendly enough, and the sandwich was amazing! The hot pastrami was fatty without being greasy, smoky, flavorful, and oh so tender!

We were rushing to get our train and I stopped here looking for a substantial lunch. There were a lot of upscale choices in this new section of the train station but Pastrami Queen somehow stood out to me. I ordered the regular pastrami with fried onions. It was kind of pricey ($20+) but phenomenally good. Super thin slices of succulent meat and the fried onions were entirely worth the up-charge. The lady at the register was super nice and I was happy to give them my business

I was excited to try this spot but very disappointed. Service was not kind when I went which was my sign to walk away but I was hungry. For $20 I expected more. FlavI should have just ordered Katz.

Water and excellent bread arrived immediately and the waiter was helpful describing dishes and giving advice. Salads were fresh and crisp. Caesar was nicely dressed and the mixed salad was a nice combination with well balanced herb vinaigrette. Seafood dishes had large amounts of fresh seafood and the veal picatta had the lemony flavor you expect without excessive acidity. Dessert was tasty and innovative. The ricotta based cheese cake wasn't as smooth as the cream cheese form but the citrus flavor was great. Throughout the meal water and bread were refilled, plates from completed courses removed and next delivered without being overly hovering. All in all a really great meal.

I read the reviews mostly good so I was hoping for the best. My friends and I were not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was there were 7 people in my party and 4 arrived early and did not have to wait for my arrival to be seated. Second the waiter who took our order was polite and on point with specials and knowledge of the menu. He (just never caught his name) suggested the Rigatoni which chicken and sausage. I am not really a pasta eater but baby that dish could change that; it was DELICIOUS. I even liked the anchovy dressing on my Caesar Salad and I dislike anchovies. All the dishes ordered (chicken parm, mussels chicken paillard etc.) everyone enjoyed them immensely. The only negative was when the Chicken Paiikard arrived it was supposed to a shared dish by the elderly couple and they asked for regular dinner plates from one of the servers. It took the gentleman who took our order to step in and said sure, lucky their food was still hot. Common Sense is not so common for all. But this will not lower my rating as it was taken care of swiftly. The portions were the perfect size and I was not stuffed but pleasantly satified. We told them the time of our show, food was out quickly, nicely presented, still hot and very tasty. The restaurant was not noisy and had space between the tables. It also had an elevator for those who could not manage stairs. Trattoria Trecolori you will be added to my must go again list! Thank for a wonderful experience!

I came here with a group of six on a weeknight with no reservations. We were seated immediately on the second floor. The restaurant had a chic, sophisticated interior, with black and gold accents and wood furniture. A large spiral fringe chandelier hung from the ceiling. While the environment indeed was upscale, the food still retained that cozy, home-cooked element known to Thai cuisine. I split the short rib curry and pork cheek with my husband. The curry was creamy with a kick of heat. The beef pull-apart tender. I'm salivating just thinking about it now. The pork cheek was delicious as well. It had the taste and texture of pork belly, which paired splendidly with the sweet and tangy fish sauce it came with. Others from my party ordered the masaman curry and a type of noodle (I think it was the pad kee mao?), and they all approved of their dishes. The drinks were wonderful as well, so distinctly Thai and inventive. I highly doubt you'll find anything here that isn't excellent.

Not all midtown restaurants stay open past 10, and I was relieved to find their kitchen going strong at that hour, as well as their dining space, which was full. Turned out it was for good reason because their food was delicious. My friend and I were hoping to eat at a restaurant nearby specializing in crab, but they closed much earlier. Fortunately for us, SaiTong's menu had plenty of crab on it, and we decided to double up and make each of our entree's a crab one. The black spaghetti crab curry and crab curry noodles advertised themselves as being very different dishes in both presentation and ingredients but ended up tasting kind of similar. One was topped with deep fried crab and used a different type of noodle than the other, but the sauces were so similar. This is not to say that they didn't taste good, but I would've preferred more variance. I'm glad we got an order of papaya salad to cut the richness of the other dishes, and I also appreciated it had a nice level of heat in it. Our servers were really friendly without being overbearing, and let us linger for a bit even after we paid the bill, as it was their last seating for the evening. There are so many excellent Thai restaurants in the city and I'd put SaiTong firmly in the category of perfectly solid spots to get your Thai fix, with some special dishes on the chef's menu worth checking out.

About 10 minutes before opening on a Saturday night there were some people waiting for the doors to open. Once we asked for a table, we were asked to step to the side so reservations could be checked in first. Luckily in a few minutes we were offered seats at the bar since they had full reservations that night. The bar was comfortable and the bartenders were great. I loved watching the cocktails being made and speaking of cocktails, they are excellent. The Bool included tequila, pomegranate and jalapeño; the other cocktail was a spritz of sorts and both were fabulous. The menu is Korean tapas, so we ordered a bunch of items to try. As each dish was served the server described the dish and even provided some instructions on the best way to eat it, if applicable. Tuna Tartare was quite good, the knife cuts were a bit inconsistent which was surprising given the level of everything, but the dish was still enjoyable; citrusy with crispy sunchoke chips. Oyster Mushroom Tacos were incredible. It didn't even feel like I was eating mushrooms. The tacos were so falvorful and balanced. If they ask you if you want to add a 4th taco to the dish, definitely say yes. Berkshire Kimchi Fried Rice served with a beautifully runny egg brought the spice and the dish was both elegant and homey at the same time. Just wonderful Birria Mandu served in a bone marrow consume was spectacular. Fried Chicken Wings, we opted for the sweet and spicy version served with kimchi daikon were sublime and addictive. They also provided a wet towel with the dish so you can clean up afterwards. Those 5 dishes were a good amount of food to feel satisfied, but we couldn't stop there and needed to try dessert. Do not pass up the Black Sesame Bread pudding, it was sublime. Served in a sizzling cast iron pan with candied almond slices and ice cream. It was so unique and really really delicious. The whole experience from the hostess to the servers to the food was A+ and I can't wait to go back.
