Chicken Parmigiana

I came here for a work gathering. The food is affordable and tastes pretty good. Everything looks and tastes freshly made. The service is great. The servers are very attentive. I think they may have been a little annoyed with me because I was a little picky with things but they didn't show it lol. I had the chicken parmesan, it was great.

Pasta Pasta has been in the neighborhood for years - I remember as a kid walking down Williamsbridge Rd and seeing its sign colored like the Italian flag popping out from its neighboring businesses. Despite this, I have seldom dined here besides the occasional holiday meal. That's what bought me to my latest dining experience, when my family decided to grab dinner here for Easter. Pasta Pasta is situated in a small strip mall on Williamsbridge Rd, but since it's in the corner unit it has a decent entryway and a good amount of space on the inside. It's not the largest restaurant but they have an open dining area with a small private room to the side. The decor is a bit dated and tired, but there are huge windows that line the front of the restaurant that makes the entire space bright. The menu is typical of other neighborhood Italian restaurants, though they have a pretty big selection which was nice to see. For the Easter holiday they had a number of specials in addition to giving us the option to order from the menu. We started with some hot and cold antipasto, fried calamari, and fried zucchini. Everything was pretty good - it wasn't the best antipasto I've had, but I did enjoy the fried calamari; I applaud them for having rings *and* legs. For my main I had the lasagna. The dish looked substantial and amazing, but unfortunately the flavor fell short for me. The meat and sauce were a little bland, and the pasta was over-cooked. Service was good, holidays are rough but they were super attentive. Overall, I feel that Pasta Pasta kind of suffers from being a warm body - it's been around for many years and it doesn't seem like much has changed. The food wasn't awful, just know there are better Italian restaurants in the area.

This restaurant looks like a place out of kitchen nightmares. Everything is dated and it kind of looks like you are walking into a funeral parlor. The chairs had to be bought from a flea market or the local banquet hall. There wasn't a soul in there for lunch too. The location is kind of hidden in a little strip mall so not many people probably know about it. Now when you walk in and sit down they bring over an easel with the specials which is old school. I felt like I was in the 80's. The whole set up needs to get a spruce up. With that being said the Eggplant parm was actually pretty good which surprised me honestly. The Bread they bring to the table was also fresh. They also bring this chick pea salad with the breas that is good. I have never seen something like that at an italian place but I loved it. My coworker ordered a pasta dish and she liked it. I don't think the pasta is homemade but I didn't expect that from a place like this. The tomato sauce was flavorful though and that is a good sign. Aside from the decor everything was good. Looks like they need to put the same care into the decor as they do with the food. The service was good and the people were nice. With a little updating this place has a chance. I have it at 3.5 stars.

Unpretentious place, great chicken Francese, good, friendly service. Much better than Patricias, and definitely better than Enzos.

The food is very tasty and servers work hard. I ordered a special and found it to be a little oily, but very good. Likely will go back.

Antonios Trattoria in the Arthur Ave section of The Bronx was absolutely wonderful. The staff…read morecouldn't have been more friendly, professional, or accommodating. We chose this spot for a family reunion, and they made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in. The food was incredible. I had the Pork Chop Scarparo--perfectly cooked and full of amazing flavor. The pasta was spot‑on too and cooked just right. I had the garlic and oil side dish which was simple but delicious. There are plenty of great places in the area, but Antonios definitely deserves a spot on your list. It made our family gathering feel special, and the meal was unforgettable.

THE FOOD ----------------…read more+ Fried Calamari - Very crispy and as you would expect of any good fried calamari appetizer. Came with a small bowl of marinara. + Baked Clams Oreganata - LOTS of flavor. It was savory with the herb- and garlic-infused breadcrumb mixture and baked perfectly. + Chicken Marsala - 2 pieces of flattened and tender sauteed chicken breast with sliced mushrooms all around. Chicken was drowning in a suppppper delicious marsala wine sauce. Unfortunately, it was not served with any pasta to soak up the sauce. + Fruitti Di Mare - LOTS of delicious seafood - clams, mussels, calamari, shrimp - in marinara sauce. All of the seafood sat on a bed of spaghetti. + Kids' Spaghetti and Meatball - Solid spaghetti and meatball and what you would expect for a kid portion. + Kids' Chicken Parm with Ziti - DELICIOUS parm and sauce. One can argue that this was actually enough of a portion for an adult! + Nutella Pizza - Soooooo gooood. Super warm, thin, savory, a little sweet. Honestly, the best part of our meal. + Menu was traditional Italian and had a lotttttt of delicious foods that we wanted to try, but we only had so much space. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Food came out pretty quickly. - Waiters didn't give us much attention and when we were handed the bill, the waiter just kind of dropped it on the table and walked on, which was strange. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + 2 adjacent dining rooms. Main dining room includes a bar and TVs, while the 2nd dining room is more spacious. = Entire bar area was filled with diners and folks watching college football. - Street parking only and can be challenging to find a good spot during weekend dinner hours. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Walked in with a party of 8 at 5:30 PM on an Autumn Saturday evening and were accommodated with a table immediately. = Was pretty crowded on a Saturday evening and there was a wait for some folks who arrived around 6-7 PM, but no wait before 6 PM.

Perfect for a date night or romantic dinner. We were a group of 12 celebrating a birthday. All of our various selections came out almost simultaneously. My partner and I were looking for somewhere to eat when we stumbled upon this restaurant, and I was…read morehonestly kind of excited because I saw they had baked clams, which I'd been craving, AND pizza. I was thinking we might have found ourselves a nice little spot for dinner. Unfortunately, things didn't quite go the way I hoped! Food: 2/5 I'm not gonna lie, the food was pretty disappointing. We tried the broccoli rabe, got the Albanian pizza, ordered pasta with meatballs, and, of course, got the baked clams. Honestly, the Albanian pizza was probably the only thing that gave us something a little unique. The other dishes just tasted like freezer food, and not even in a particularly good way. The pasta and meatballs tasted like something you'd get in a cafeteria, with the meatballs tasting almost entirely like plain ground beef. There wasn't much flavor or anything that made me want to keep eating. And the baked clams? Ugh. I was really looking forward to these, but they barely had any meat in them and were mostly stuffing and breadcrumbs. You know those frozen stuffed clams you can get from the grocery store? That's honestly what they reminded me of. Definitely not what I was hoping for when I ordered them! The Albanian pizza was the only dish that really stood out, but considering it was one of the smaller things we ordered, it wasn't enough to save the overall meal. If you're not coming here specifically for the pizza, I honestly think you can find better versions of these other dishes at plenty of other restaurants. And that's kind of a bummer when you're paying for a whole dinner and hoping to enjoy more than one thing. Service: 5/5 I will give credit where credit is due: the service was actually really good! We had no complaints about how we were treated, and the staff did their job well. Unfortunately, good service can only do so much when the food itself isn't hitting the mark. Vibes: 3/5 The ambience was fine, but I will say the restaurant was pretty empty when we came in during the evening. I'm not saying an empty restaurant automatically means the food is bad, but looking back, maybe that should've been a little red flag for us! All in all, honestly, I probably wouldn't come back. The service was great, and the Albanian pizza was decent, but the rest of the food just didn't do it for me. Between the disappointing baked clams and the cafeteria-style pasta and meatballs, I left feeling like I could've spent my money somewhere else and had a much better meal. I just don't think I vibe with the food here, so this one is probably a pass for me. There are too many other places to eat to spend another dinner hoping the food will be better!

Everything tasted fresh and well made. The warm bread was soft, fresh, and nicely herby with what tasted like oregano sprinkled on top. Portions were satisfying, flavors were rich without feeling too heavy, and the quality really stood out. We ordered sparkling water and a couple of cocktails. For appetizers we had the Polpettine Di Casa (homemade beef meatballs in pomodoro sauce) and the Portuguese octopus with fava beans, cannellini beans, onions, and apple vinegar dressing. Both were flavorful and well prepared. For entrées we ordered the Pappardelle alla Bolognese with homemade pasta and meat sauce, along with the New Zealand lamb chops over broccoli rabe and mashed potatoes. The pasta tasted fresh and authentic, and the lamb was tender and cooked as requested. Unfortunately, the night ended on a disappointing note because of the service. Mario was pleasant, but another server, I believe named Alex, overheard a conversation and became argumentative and sarcastic toward the birthday woman's son. It felt very unprofessional for the setting and completely changed the mood of the dinner, causing everyone to leave earlier than planned. The 93yr old woman was shaking. People should stay in their lane. Sadly, because of that interaction, I wouldn't return.
