I thought a small order would only have 8 pieces, like wings normally would but it was massive. So essentially, our order was the equivalent of four small orders for two people but it was SO much chicken. We ordered way too much because I underestimated how big one order would be (but I'm not complaining)! We had leftovers for days so needless to say, I was sick of Korean fried chicken by the end of it. I really liked the spicy soy garlic but didn't love the sweet and spicy. It's really heavy on the honey, if you're into that. The chicken comes with a side of pickled daikon cubes. Next time, I'd like to see what the cheese snowing chicken is all about. Plus they're other non-fried chicken dishes look pretty good and are reasonably priced as well. Overall, it's a good bang for your buck!!

I had a very disappointing and honestly embarrassing experience today at bb.q Chicken…read more I was genuinely excited to eat here because I've had a good experience with their food before. Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. I ordered at the counter with no issues. I asked which options were sweet and spicy, made my choice, paid, and was given a buzzer. Everything seemed fine. After ordering food from other vendors (which I received with no problem), I realized my buzzer never went off. So I walked back to the counter to check on my order. That's when things went left. The cashier told me there was no order under my buzzer number (#02) -- that my order didn't exist. I went back to my table, grabbed my receipt, and brought it to her. It clearly showed order #20, meaning she either gave me the wrong buzzer or entered the number incorrectly. A simple mistake... or at least it should have been. Instead of fixing it, she refused to help. She immediately became defensive and insisted that someone in my party -- specifically my daughter, who never even approached the counter -- must have already taken the food. That accusation alone was inappropriate and completely false. From there, the situation escalated unnecessarily. I was met with dismissiveness, accusations, and even laughter. I was told I would not receive my food or a refund. This went on for 30-40 minutes. It was honestly embarrassing. They have cameras pointed directly at the counter, and I even suggested they check them -- because why would anyone argue this long over something they didn't pay for? It made no sense. At one point, I had to stand there and refuse to let additional orders go through until the situation was addressed, because she simply would not budge. As a business owner myself, I was shocked. If there's ever confusion with an order, you fix it. You remake the food or issue a refund. Instead, I was treated with suspicion and disrespect over an $18 order. I don't like to make things about race, but as a woman of color, the way I was spoken to and dismissed did not sit right with me. Security from American Dream Mall was called, but they said they couldn't help since the restaurant is third-party -- which only added to the frustration. I ended up recording part of the situation because of how poorly it was being handled. At that point, I didn't even care about the food anymore -- I just wanted my money back. The cashier called the owner, and instead of resolving it properly, I was asked for my personal information and told that if they refunded me and later decided I was "wrong," they could take legal action against me. Over chicken. Completely inappropriate and intimidating. After all of that, 30-40 minutes later, she suddenly "found" my order in the system and processed the refund -- which only confirmed that the mistake was on their end all along. This situation should have taken one minute to fix. Instead, it turned into a drawn-out, public ordeal where I was treated disrespectfully and made to feel like I was doing something wrong. Other customers were watching, waiting, and some even left -- so the business lost money over something that was entirely avoidable. Mistakes happen. But how you treat customers when they do is what matters most. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had in a long time.

While there are a few non-chicken items on the menu, they're all minor sidekicks to the obvious star. The first order of fried chicken business is to determine whether you want boneless or wings, then to choose the flavor. Some of these will be saucy, while others seem more of a powdered variety. When you're finished ordering, they hand you a pager that rings and vibrates when your order is ready. Wanting to try as much of a variety as possible, our family ordered a boneless soy garlic and original spicy wings. On the plus side, the chicken is pretty good. Our soy garlic boneless chicken had healthy breading that stayed crispy even with a healthy dousing of that sweet and savory sauce. As good as the boneless chicken was, the wings were more tender and flavorful (as is the case with most Korean fried chicken places). The 'original spicy' is a powdered flavoring. While it's not the three-flame fire that was insinuated on the menu, there's a nice little back-of-the-throat burn. I enjoyed these just fine, but I felt pretty greasy and heavy at the end of it all. I was also shocked at the cost. Our order topped out at nearly $77 for sixteen pieces. I'm learning that's typical of Korean fried chicken places, but for me, the value just wasn't there.

I ordered the chicken tenders with the honey garlic sauce and I'll give credit where it's due -- 10/10 flavor, well-seasoned, sauce was on point. However... the portion-to-price ratio had me side-eyeing a bit. $9 for just 3 tenders and no fries is questionable. The food tasted great, but I definitely expected more for the price. The place is bright, clean, classic rock playing in the background. (And I appreciated the tables being spread apart so the patrons weren't on top of each other.) Friendly crew behind the counter - I'm guessing it's a family affair holding it down back there. No booze but they do have one of those cool high-tech Coke machines with a touchscreen to pick from a ridiculous amount of options. Four of us all stayed in the chicken lane (spicy wings to tenders) and I gotta say: the chicken was noticeably tastier, fresher and just better than what you'd expect from a fast-food leaning chain. The fries were good, too - hearty and well-seasoned. (The only issue we had was that the food was served at an absurdly hot temperature and we were hungry and not patient enough to wait for the food to cool down.) Solid pricing (about $15 for a combo). Good portion size. Parking lot available.

I'd caught a reel from a stand-up comic doing a bit on Yelp (talk about niche comedy, right?) and…read morethey'd ended it with, "And whoever bothers to give a 3-star review is psychotic!" - which made me laugh. But sometimes... a (middle of the road) "3" is just how it goes. Case in point: Bullhorns. Inside is a bit 'cold' and 'underdeveloped' and not a place I'd want to eat-in at. Guy behind the counter... a bit cold himself. (All good, retail is a cruel biz I know from experience.) As for the food... it's hard to stand out in a crowded field when it comes to burgers 'n fries and what they're doing is solid but it's also not that memorable. The fries (I ordered two which was more than plenty for four hungry people - they're taking a page from Five Guys on being generous with the serving size) were crunchy and flavorful. The burgers - they do not skimp on the patty size or toppings and everything worked well together but... yeah, it's a burger. (I was the only one that seemed to really dig what they ordered.) Maybe worth a mention: most chains when they offer something "hot" (spicy) - it's not that serious, right? You need to keep it safe (tame) for the masses. Well Bullhorns' "Devil's Revenge" was not hyperbole and my one kid (that usually loves spicy food) stood up after just one bite to walk it off. He went back for another and was sweating. (Poor kid begged his mom to swap burgers so she'd have to endure the capsaicin-overload.) For a chain they can't compete with the likes of Shake Shack or even Smashburger. If I found myself in the area again (with a hankering for a burger and fries) - I'd rather drive a few minutes out of the way to hit Bun Buddies over in Wood-Ridge for a much better meal. 3-stars it is.

Having no knowledge of this location, my curiosity led me inside. Jose, the manager, told me the chef prepares a homemade barbecue sauce, which has been a family secret recipe for over 30 years. Jose also brought to my attention a really great deal offered on Tuesdays: full rack of ribs for the cost of a half rack! He gave me a free sample of the secret sauce. That spoon size taste went a long way as I was immediately hooked by its flavor and tanginess. With the exception of the wings, I tried the sauce on all of their killer meats! The tender, juicy brisket melted in my mouth. The pork ribs fell right off the bone. My personal favorite was the bird in hand. This half chicken made me feel like I was in dining at Medieval Times in Lyndhurst! The only thing missing was a tournament with gladiators grappling in a colosseum! Between the tasty meats, strictly confidential house made barbecue sauce, and the excellent service from the manager and the servers, I was very content and my crave for barbecue has been happily fulfilled! #jimdandys #killermeats #barbecue #MangoHabanero #smokedbrisket #rackofribs #pulledpork #barbecuechicken

The service I found to be on the slower side especially when it came waiting for water and drinks. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful and I love their sake menu- it has so many choices!!! The food menu has a lot to offer. I do however feel like they do whatever they can to potentially upcharge the guest. For example, I honestly do not know any hibachi place that does not offer soup or give you a choice of noodles or fried rice- this place offers steamed white rice for the meal knowing almost everyone is going to pay for upgrade. All of us chose to upgrade, I wound up getting the vegetable fried rice, when my husband and two other friends got the chicken fried rice. There was another family next to us that also upgraded to chicken fried rice (about 3 of them). This place used ONE small chicken breast chopped it up into little pieces for 6 people which I thought was absolutely insane. Even with all this going on- I would be a liar if I said the food wasn't outstanding because it absolutely was- it was easily one of the best hibachi meals I have had in a long time- the quality of the steak was nothing but perfection- the rice and shrimp were mouthwatering good- and the salad was fantastic. I wish my scallops had a little more flavor but I was happy with my combo meal overall. We even ordered the Spicy Tuna Crispy rice app and it was one of the best I have ever had. My meal was also supposed to come with ice cream and they never asked me if I wanted it or brought anything out to me so that was disappointing. The show was ok- typical fried rice heart beating with onion volcano. No shrimp getting tossed into the air to catch or sake squirting though. In my opinion- food outstanding 5 star worthy, but it also needs a lot of work done before this place gets a higher rating.

Now the chef for hibachi was alright as far as entertainment goes but he was kind of checked out and basic he didn't do too too much to bring fun to it. He served my husband spoiled oysters but the rest of the food was ok. We had no reservation but were seated within 5-8 mins. Our waiter brought our drinks and salads out efficiently and they were delightful. We didn't get our California rolls until after we finished our entres which wasn't ideal(said they were frozen). The veggies they presented-I'm not joking-were mostly a pile of onions. There was about 3 strips of zucchini on my plate and maybe 5 corn kernels. What in the world?! LOL they only offer white rice and you cannot substitute it. You would have to do a separate order on the side in addition to get anything other than plain white rice. The whole thing was kind of a flop for us. The restaurant was BEAUTIFUL. The experience and food was lacking quality especially for the price you pay. We have had better for a fraction of the price elsewhere.
