This studio offers great Salsa & Bachata group classes that really challenge you at each level.

We purchased a package dance classes with me and my friend. As soon as we walked in the door, Jose immediately offered us the package and took our payment right before the class began. We left with the impression that we would receive a follow-up email explaining how to use the package and, more importantly, that there was no time limit on when we could use the classes. Months later, when I came back to use the remaining classes, I was told the package was no longer valid. This was never clearly communicated to us at the time of purchase. The classes themselves are alright, but not the best value. What really bothered us was how the situation was handled we felt misled and, frankly, scammed by the owner. Clear communication and honesty go a long way, and unfortunately, that was missing here. read more

To be fair, I had some genuine fun at this dance studio but it has some serious issues. I've experienced MUCH better studios, I tried Latin Dance back in college and have been looking to get back into it. The studio is VERY disorganized. They place everyone in the "Level 0" class. We're simply lined up and taught the same basic step over and over. 3/5 of my classes wasted 20+ minutes teaching the basic step over and over. Waste of time and money. Their model is focused on just money, not on the progress of their students. I asked twice about moving up to their "level 1 Bachata class" from "level 0". The lady first told me she "didn't know and I'd have to ask him if I was ready" The lady who instructs is very disorganized and just makes up moves and routines as she goes. No progression or development for her students. The next time I asked she barked out random commands I couldn't hear or understand to "test my ability" then said she thought I wasn't ready for the next level. I just said "I'd go ahead and use up my final class and move on." Ironically, I tried to leave and she wanted me to stay behind to be featured in a video example of the dance routine. Struggling students were able to video tape the routine on their phone and I'm still "not ready to learn more". What a joke. read more

My husband booked the Salsa Bootcamp and it was so fun! There were quite a few other couples and individuals. The dance floor was spacious and our instructor was amazing! He started with the basics and built layer by layer. By the end of the class we had a solid salsa foundation. Most of the class were also beginnings so we all had fun learning together. Prices are pretty great! And they have various membership and packages. I will definitely be back to perfect my Salsa skills. read more

If someone doesn't get what you are trying to teach maybe you need to review your teaching methods ! Never coming back ! The instructor had very little patience in the lesson. He was rude and it was not as fun as I had anticipated. When asked a very simple question by a young lady, he told her that she didn't know how to move because she worked behind a computer all day and had limited human interaction. He called me out for wearing sneakers. He seemed to be flustered when we were not understanding what he was telling us to do. On a positive note, even when he was telling us off, he kept a smile on his face. Nevertheless, I would recommend going to someone else for a fun date. read more

This is probably my favorite spot to dance. They offer classes for every level! It's hard to find a Latin dance school that caters to every level from my 2 left crew to professional looking caberet! They teach salsa, bachata, and kizomba with body movement and musicality. RI came in having never taken a Latin dance class before and loved it. A group of friends and I purchased the Crowd Cut deal for PasoFino Latin Dance Studio. The deal was good for five two-hour dance lessons. We purchased the deal because we wanted to learn salsa dancing for a Cuban wedding we were going to take part in (as the wedding party). PasoFino teaches several dance Latin styles: zumba, bachata, salsa, capoeira, cha cha, belly dancing, and flamenco. Because of all the different dance styles and different student skill levels, PasoFino has a busy and somewhat complicated class schedule. Be sure to check their web site and/or call to confirm their latest schedule. I handed my Crowd Cut coupon to one of the PasoFino employees, filled out a registration form, and was handed a card that was good for five classes over two months. My friends and I stepped onto the dance floor in our sneakers (we're such noobs) and Jose, one of the instructors, immediately started having us salsa dance, probably in an effort to gauge our skill level. I got totally schooled. I thought Jose was a good instructor, though I don't really have much to compare him to since I've only taken dance classes maybe a couple other times in my life. He's a nice guy, soft spoken, and can be hard to hear over the speakers at times. The female instructors speak louder than he does. The two hour class is divided into two halves with a short break in the middle. More than one class may go on at a time, so two instructors may be speaking at the same time. In my experience with the beginners classes, there is not much one-on-one instruction. The studio itself is spacious, well-lit and ventilated, and the sound system is good. This studio has been amazing. From classes to the socials and workshops. I started coming to Pasofino to learn dancing salsa (which i thought i knew lol) and it has been life changing experience. I recommend to stay consistent when it comes to taking the classes and take a few privates to speed up the process ;) . They offer different levels and you don't need a partner to learn!! So tonight for the first time, I have done two things that I have been procrastinating on all year. So for all those folks who have added "learn how to dance" to your new year's resolutions for 2010....I invite you to check out Paso Fino Dance Studio. Today, I went for the first time to the Tuesday night salsa class and left highly impressed. For $15 you get a 2 hour salsa class with detailed instruction and a diverse group of students to practice with. The most lovely bonus is that for 2-3 hours after class is open dance time where you can dance with your classmates or the instructors, ask questions, hang out and just watch. For any dance student, it is an ideal set up. So, as we count down the days of 2009 and plan on the usual 'self-improvement' in the year ahead, definitely fill up that gas tank, pack a snack and venture to Sandy Springs. This place just wasn't for me, as the pace of teaching was a bit too fast. I have been taking other classes (other dances) and caught on well at their respective pace. PasoFino appears to be catering to the predominantly younger, urban crowd, even though they welcome students of all walks of life and age. They start each class with a warmup, a set of rather advanced, fast-paced moves that are sure to leave the novice lost, perhaps even more intimidated than one already feels as a novice to a new skill. I just never felt the same vibe that I feel at other classes elsewhere, but that may just be my very own personal thing. I would like to recommend Kimberly as an instructor. She's a professional through and through, and I always enjoyed learning from her. I haven't stuck around long enough to have gained exposure to all instructors, though. read more

Didn't learn much after two lessons and found the lessons and instruction much better at Fuego Y Hielo! As a beginner, I found the instructions confusing at times and the lesson going nowhere. Both beginner classes covered the same basic steps and very little in terms of practical dance. read more

I love taking classes here. They make it easy to register for classes in your skill level and they have a very logical progression that will take you from beginner to advanced. The instructors here are phenomenal and there are plenty of socials to keep you dancing and moving through the ranks. If you're serious about learning salsa then definitely go there and get dancing. I recommend buying a 10 class voucher and then going to the footwork and partner work classes for a couple weeks. After that you'll know if it's for you and then you can get an unlimited membership. It's not a place for learning a few patterns so you're skill set will be just barely passable...it's a place to learn where dancing becomes an expression of your individual style. The basics are drilled hard into you, and with a few private lessons, the pillars of salsa are set in stone. On top of that, there are open invitations for practicing, social outings, and an overall sense that the studio director has the best intentions of watching you fulfill your dancing dreams. It's a great way to come as singles and still have a group of people to hit up clubs for social dancing. What you get is exactly what and how much you decide to put in. Very welcoming for beginners, but there are paths to follow that could set you up to become a pro. The boot camps are nice enough for an interesting Saturday afternoon date, or basic intro. Earnest beginners will find a class that fits there schedule every day of the week. Whether it's bachata, Salsa, Reggatone, or ballet; there's a balance of classes for you to attend at a fair expense. I've been here for a few months now and I'm happy to spend a few of my evenings there every week. I never thought I could learn to dance, let alone, learn to dance well!!! I booked a private lesson (my first dance lesson ever) with Jose, to get the scoop on what we'll be learning in their Salsa 101 Series. I haven't danced much in a social setting in years, and I am such a lefty when it comes to dancing with a partner. That's why I'll be taking their Salsa 101 lessons, together with some friends. But the private lesson was amazing, it totally opened my eyes to the areas I will need to focus on and work most on as I will start learning salsa. Jose was very patient and practical in both observing my problem areas and in helping me loosen up and learn to dance with my whole body, not just my feet... I feel much more prepared and self-confident. In about an hour, he managed to take me from Robocop-like movements to nice, flowing spins, and most importantly, out of the awkwardness I used to experience when dancing with someone. I recommend not just the Studio with all the classes it has to offer, but also Jose's services, which will undoubtedly benefit you whether you want to learn some new dance in private, or if you are preparing for a bigger class-type experience.
