A dance instructor that I met a few years ago has been having private pop-up classes here, and I've been attending. I know that there is a regular weekly schedule of classes as well. It's really easy to spot the location as you approach the shopping plaza from the south, and it took me less than 5 minutes to get here from I-285. The studio is nicely decorated, giving a comfy, welcoming feeling when you enter. This is in stark contrast to some studios I've gone to that are basic and drab. There is only space for one class at a time, but the floor is huge! I'm thinking there would be more than enough room for a class of 30 people. There are barres (the portable kind) for hosting ballet classes, and weights of all sizes for fitness classes. The floor is kind of slippery, so if you tend to dance barefoot a lot and have soft feet (like me - definitely slipped a couple times lol) I'd suggest to at least wear some jazz footies with a grip bottom. There is ample cubbie space to store your belongings during class. There's even a good amount of waiting room for parents if you're looking to hold a class for children. Also there is a dressing room in addition to one unisex bathroom. On my way out, I spoke to the owner who was extremely friendly and mentioned that the studio has several time slots open for rentals at the moment. I first came here when they opened a few years ago. I'm still hooked. I bring new friends and everyone who has tried it loves it! It is family- owned and operated and they make you feel like family! Every class I've taken is so much fun. The studio is tucked in the corner of a new-ish, small strip in Sandy Springs. The owners constantly update the decor around the dance studio to go with the season and to make it fun. My daughter came to a birthday party here. There were about 8 12-year old girls and they had a blast. Perfect spot for any event, for young or adult. The schedule is constantly updated so you can try new classes and instructors all the time. There are fitness classes as well as dance classes. If you love to dance or exercise while having fun, come give it a try. You'll be back. read more

This is a really beautiful, practically brand new, studio. It's easy to get to and easy to park. I love the concept being adults who may or may not have danced before but are looking to dance as a method of fitness while having fun. It seems they do offer children/teen classes as well. They have a ton of different classes and styles: lyrical, jazz, broadway, tap, hip-hop, salsa, ballet, etc. I wish I had more time to take them all! I imagine that if you try out all the classes you'll find one you really love and is a good fit for your dance level. Since it is such a new studio they are always working with the schedule and adapt to class participation and demands quite easily. My only concern is that since I am so busy with school and can't make it to classes regularly that they may cancel my favorites! Definitely give it a try if you are a former dancer or even are new to dance and have always wanted to try a certain dance style. read more

Where do I begin? I started becoming a "regular" about 3-4 months ago. The owners, Lynn and Steve, learn your name and treat you like family right at the very start. The studio has some great instructors that are genuinely nice and will give a great workout! Some of my favorites are Jason's Femininity Class, Caroline's Ballet Barre Fitness and Contemporary Jazz, Anissa's Booty Barre and Piloxing. They've also recently added some new yoga classes, Lyrical and Hip Hop. Take Robyn's Zumba class too - she's a lot of fun! Oh, and give Marcial's ballet classes a shot if you have any ballet experience. Ok, so I've named almost all the instructors, because they are all great! The studio itself is very price competitive in Atlanta, and does not have any sort of "cliquish" feel to it. You become one of them after your first class! I look forward to going to the dance classes, it's a fun workout and I love all the people! So, if you enjoy dance and dance fitness and want to meet some awesome people, give this place a try! read more

OH. MY. GOSH. I just attended my first introductory $8 class there (a hip hop dance class) with the instructor named Whitney and I can't believe how much fun I had! Whitney is clearly an absolute professional, yet made everyone comfortable doing the routine regardless of their individual level. I am by no means a dancer (not even close!) and I had SO. MUCH. FUN. I had been wanting to try zumba so bought a groupon for this place. My first class was Ginger's zumba class. The class was amazingly fun. Ginger combines so many different music it doesn't bore, there is so much energy with each new song that plays. The 2nd class I go for is Bollywood & belly dance. That class is just mind blowing. The 1hour is all electrifying & yes there is real workout sweat. My groupon was for 5 classes & after that I have started going here regularly. I came here on a Groupon with two friends in tow, and we had lots of fun! When we arrived, we were greeted by one of the owners and was just as nice and as accommodating as can be. I have been going to Dance it Off since the day it opened. Not only are all the classes fun and a great workout, the instructors are the best. I am addicted to Jason's Cardio Funk which I try to go to at 4 times a week. Love his weight class too. I now wake up early Sat. mornings to rake Danna's Zumba class, which has the best music, the best energy and so much fun. I have to say though one of the best things about DIO is all the wonderful women that I have become friends with . It is now not only my place to go exercise, but it is also my social hour. While traveling to Atlanta for work, I found the dance studio to keep my dance regimen going. After looking at the videos of Dance Owner/Instructor Jason Cohen and his dance students, my friend and I took a Cardio Funk Class. From the minute we walked in, Lynn was so welcoming and helpful in getting us checked in. After putting our purses in the cubbies, I stepped onto the floors and they were heaven as they had bounce to them. I knew my knees were going to be thankful. The dance students were so nice and welcoming, and they kept encouraging my friend (who parked herself in the back) to swap places closer up so she could see his choreo breakdown. When the class began, it was so much fun. Jason's energy and encouragement during class was amazing, and he had a great mix of songs from Jamiroquai, Hotel Transylvania 2, Rocky Horror Picture Show and others. We had so much fun that we were doing some chorus lines by the end of class. I looked at their schedule, and they have a class for everyone. Next time I am in Atlanta, I will definitely find myself coming back for more dance classes. I highly recommend the dance studio. read more

"Dance it off"- the name says it all. You shed sweat, stress, and cares off while you're taking Jason's Cardio Funk. I found this class online while looking for a fun outlet during a business trip. I didn't expect to find such an amazing place. Jason is a gifted dancer and instructor. He does all his own choreography and has an intuitive sense of interpreting the music and making the movements flow.
