Sharing another horrible experience I had at CVS. A prescription was phoned into the Ardmore store…read morefour days ago. I stopped by today to pick it up and after standing in line to wait for my turn, I was told that it wasn't ready. This is not the first time they sat on a prescription and I only found out there was a problem when I arrived to pick it up. They asked me to wait while they prepared it, which I did. But 15 minutes later the prescription still wasn't ready. Instead, I got a lame excuse for why it still wasn't ready and I asked them to be transferred to another store. After wasting an 1 1/2 hours with CVS Ardmore, i spent another 45 minutes trying to reach the other store to confirm that they actually sent the prescription over and that they have the medication. Good thing I spent that time trying to reach the other pharmacy because Ardmore never sent the prescription them. They are still sitting on it. Their laziness and incompetence. literally interfering with my ability to get my medication. CVS is an abominable company. It would be horrible for any company to operate the way they do but especially considering that they are such a critical part of the healthcare system... supplying medication to people who need it, someone should shut them down. Cute gift ideas alongside all of the necessary meds/OTC options for fighting normal ailments. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well. I don't realize it's attached to an indoor mini-plaza that has several other businesses too. So give it a thought if you're looking for a non-chain option for your next medicine and I think you'll be pleasantly surprised too.

However, this place...The only thing going for it is the location (which can be an issue too if you are not a fan of university students being all over the place). This CVS had a glow up with it becoming a Health Hub so you can find a wide range of vitamins and medication although that sentiment can be hard to see what with the shelves being bare at times. The "Health Hub" aspect aside, the pharmacy is incredibly slow and wait times can be absurdly long. Moreover, the pharmacy will do things like not give you a full prescription or ignore a question. To be honest, the pharmacists are never the same at this location so if you have a question or want to build a rapport, good luck. Half the times I even see a pharmacist they are either overworked or hiding from customers. Also, if you do pick up medication from the pharmacy after waiting almost an hour in line, you likely will get a text or email that you have even more or the exact prescription you just picked up waiting for you. It's a mess and it ain't hot. 2 stars because location, location, location.

Before asking, I walked around a little and picked up a few products. I got some Gatorade for when I play some tennis soon and also picked up some water, which was on sale. They also had a variety of Hershey's products including their new promotion "Flavors of America." They sounded good so I picked up a Georgia Honey Roasted Peanut Reese's Cup! The store itself is fairly nice and new looking. It appears as if it was recently renovated. All of the items were nicely stocked and nothing was messy. At checkout, I asked about the solar eclipse glasses, but they were unfortunately not selling them. Though, the staff member working was surprised the store was not selling the glasses. Altogether, this is a nice Rite Aid to get all your basic needs!
