It definitely wasn't because we stole something, as the police check of our shopping bags found nothing taken. I got an apology from management days later after I filed a complaint, but this doesn't seem like an isolated incident based on my interaction with one of the policemen that did the search, and the fact that none of the employees in the almost-empty CVS store made any attempt talk to us about the alleged theft before, or to apologize for the false accusation and the terror my sister and I faced in interacting with 3 armed policemen as black people.
