Besides prior to the false allegation and the Police being called we interacted with employees which seemed annoyed for us asking for assistance and also being told that they don't carry products which I knew they carried and later was amazed to have found on my own by browsing. Then the POLICE were called and lied to saying HISPANIC female & BLACK female were seen stealing and stuffing items in personal and shopping bags. This was far from the truth and should not be easily dismissed. Employees should be held accountable for their LIES and DISCRIMINATION. Calling the Police should be taken seriously and NOT be used for False Allegations or Personal Discriminations against other people!!! Party City employees lied first by telling the Police on the phone that we(my daughter & I) were stealing and they had witnessed it, then after the Police arrived and asked the Party City employees questions, Party City employees story changed to "they look suspicious". There was nothing to celebrate as this Brought my 17yr old daughter to tears and the end result was Party City employees making us "the customers" feel as though we did something wrong just for shopping and it was stated several times regardless that "we look suspicious". We were forced to shop elsewhere. A truly disgusting shopping experience at WF's Party City which was traumatic and triggered Anxiety, PTSD and also threatened the privacy of a minor, my privacy as well as the privacy of my other children by having a false accusation report of shoplifting written up with our personal information which is a threat to our character, our lives and our safety. Even though the Police investigation determined No Crime Was Committed a report still was written up that was unnecessary, a waste of Police time and jeopardizes other peoples lives. Beware of employee Jen who seemed to have orchestrated the whole ordeal, and encouraged and convinced other employees to partake in the discrimination, and employee Rachel who spread hearsay from Jen to the Police and as well as nodded her head whenever Jen spoke. Party City is supposed to be a store you shop at when celebrating special occasions and instead the Wappingers Falls location was not celebrating anything but hate & discrimination. Thankfully the WF's Police were very calm and quickly sifted through the lies of Party City employees but still this type of experience should Not have happened at all and is very concerning.

I know that there is tremendous markup on party supply products, but their prices seemed steep given the quality of their items. And they could do a better job of maintaining this store. Some products on the shelf were badly damaged or even falling apart. Many aisles were pretty picked over or understocked. We saw a package of candy near the register that was opened and taped back together, with a 50% off sticker slapped on it. I'm no health code inspector, but I'm pretty sure that ain't right. Aside from the prices and the condition inside the store, Party Depot is a great one-stop shop for your next celebration.

We realized an hour later one of the large main balloons ordered was not included. I called mostly because I expected a refund since the delivery was to Thomaston from Waterbury. I got destiny on the phone when I called in, she placed me on a brief hold and then notified me she was going to uber the balloon to my friends home. She apologized numerous times and said it would be there in half an hour. I come from a customer service background and realize mistakes happen and given the distance expected a simple sorry and we will refund you the price of the large balloon. But within half an hour hour balloon was delivered and placed in the center of the event. Thank you! Highly recommend this store to anyone.
