I joined Parrish Aviation a couple of months ago to pursue my private pilot cert and I'm enjoying it. Parrish currently uses Cessna 172s and a couple of 150s. The PPL program cost was inline with other local flight schools and the location is perfect; close from a driving standpoint in the metroplex but it also allows easy VFR flight to the south for much less congested airspace with access to multiple other airports -- perfect for learning. Their operation at Dallas Executive Airport is idea. Parrish also has a good balance between the amount of students and the amount of aircraft that are available. I ran into trouble at my last flight school since aircraft kept being sold and others were in maintenance for extended periods of time which created an availability issue. I haven't had this issue at Parrish. I was also very lucky to have gotten paired up with Sylvia who is a fantastic instructor and serious about aviation - very compatible personality. All of the other staff and instructors are nice as well.. it is more of a family environment and the monthly socials are a nice way to meet other students and talk flying. read more

I am a 1700 hour instrument rated pilot that stepped away from flying for a few years. I used Parrish Aviation for refresher training and then my biannual flight review. Ricky Telles was my flight instructor. Ricky was very knowledgeable, professional and kind. The school is well managed, clean and welcoming. There are weekly emails soliciting your schedule for that week's training. Aircraft are well equipped with modern avionics in most platforms. I've been working on my Private Pilot License (PPL) with Finn at Parrish Aviation, and it's been an awesome experience so far. Finn is a great instructor -- super knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and really knows how to break things down in a way that makes sense.
