When I started flying here in 2019 I was extremely pleased by the high training quality and the level of professionalism offered by thrust flight trainers. Scheduling a flight is very easy using an app called " flight schedule pro " One of thrust flight big advantage is the big fleet of new aircrafts available and many CFI's... i got my private here on a sport cruiser and I'm very confident discovering the sky now thanks to their excellent training. Can't control the weather! I scheduled 3 weeks off of work to come to TX and get my PPL, I also saved up ~$18,000, and had credit available incase I ran overbudget. This would have been doable with 2, 2.5-3 hour flights per day for 21 days straight, I understood that it's a grueling schedule, and was completely willing to commit to it. The only problem is, there is very little room for error (ie. if it takes you longer than about 10-15 hours to do your first solo) And if you throw a couple of days of bad weather, thunderstorms in the area high winds/gusting, then you cannot actually pull it off in that amount of time. All and all, I think it's a good school, with excellent planes. I was flying a brand new 172 with a G1000 for example. The airspace is very busy and tightly controlled, which makes for very good training environment with high standards of communication. Also ATC has you do some abnormal things, which teach you you must be flexible when operating in this environment. The instructors are all very helpful, and I would come here again to finish my training, but unfortunately I'm out of vacation for the year, and I cannot afford vacation wise to come back to finish the training. I will have to go to my local instructors to finish. But, I'm glad I was able to experience and train in such a structured environment. The following is the only real problem I have with the school: The one drawback is the planes are being used by a TON of people throughout the day, so if someone takes too long coming back (which happened to me several times during the days I was supposed to do my first solo flight) you end up getting screwed out of your own time in the plane. (this was a contributing factor in my lack of leaving with a pilot cert, as this happened several of the last days of wind low enough for me to actually be able to do my solo work) After getting that specific set of delays, it caused cascading scheduling conflicts and weather/wind problems, that ended up costing me time, and the entire situation led to me failing to complete the training within my time limits. read more

I recently enrolled in their Accelerated Commercial Multi program out of their brand new North Texas Regional Facility and it was EXCELLENT! Their CFI was nothing but professional and helpful, and their airplanes were is pristine condition given their age and hours! They addressed every little issue (which there were very few) with the upmost urgency and professionalism. The staff was very attentive and very helpful, and answered every single question I had about he program. You cannot find a better bang for your buck for a multi commercial add on program (it was BY FAR the cheapest out of all the ones I found after weeks of digging) and it only took two and half days! Thrust flight has been incredibly good to me since I started my flight training. The people there make the experience worth every penny spent. Everyone is welcoming and friendly from dispatch all the way up to ownership. The prices are fair as well as cheaper then any of the other flight schools I met with in the Dallas area. I have obtained my private and instrument certificates within a very reasonable time there. The instructors are a great group of people who will team up to help you with anything you need. I can't count how many times they have gone out of their way to accommodate any questions or problems I have had. It makes the experience a lot more enjoyable when you know you have people who truly care to see you succeed. The whole outfit is very innovative and makes it easier to stay up to date with the changing times in aviation. I was finally able to take a introduction flight with US Sport/Thrust in Addison, and it turned out to be an incredible experience. They had responded to my email request and were professional during the entire process. My instructor was Dylan and I was completely comfortable with him from the beginning.
