Today I had a spontaneous feeling of wanting a pedi! I don't have a regular salon I go to especially here in Kent County most of the places have poor customer service! But Parris Nail Lounge came to mind and lucky me a spot was available!! This actually was not my first visit. Well.. I'm super disappointed with my nails right now. I am new to the nails world and was trying something new for my birthday. I was scheduled for a pedicure and a gel full set. And some how my gel full set took 2hrs so i was unable to get my pedicure because i had reservations.. although i was really disappointed i brushed it off. Beautiful. Just beautiful. I have been in a ton of nail salons and this is the first that looks like a place to just relax. You would never expect it to look like this from the outside, or it being downtown. Hopefully this will be the start of many new things coming to dover. Coffee? I-pads for you to use? Candy? Wine? Water? Yes,yes,yes. She has all of them. Get me a cherry zero and I would never leave. There are two pedicure stations. Different from what I was used to. They are very comfortable but not massaging chairs. The foot bowl doesn't swirl around like others either. So once you get past that lets get onto the pedicure. It was very nice she took her time and my toes look and feel great. Before you start you smell several oils to see which one you would like for her to use on your feet. The massage was good not just someone chopping and slapping your legs like others I have been too. A little shorter than I like but very relaxing. After, I got a manicure which was also wonderful. Same oils, lots of attention to detail. My nails look great, and my hand massage I enjoyed. Price was right too. My tips? Call for an appointment it's just two of them and they are only open till five and by appt on Saturday. read more

I was visiting Dover on a weekend getaway and wanted to get a manicure and pedicure to help me with my goal of relaxation. After my mother woke me and the best friend up at 7am I was beyond irritated and no longer relaxed. I started calling various nail salons in Dover and was put off by the piss poor greeting on the phone or the prices were ridiculous. I called the lovely ladies at Parris Nail Lounge and was warmly greeted by Nicole. I spoke with the best friend and we went to Yelp. We were both pleased with the reviews. When we arrived we were greeted by everyone even the customer that was getting services. We were escorted to the pedicure section to find two large chairs fit for a Queen!! Our water was started and we were given two ipads to surf the internet, watch netflix or do whatever we wanted. I put on netflix and took a siesta while I waited for Erin to finish with her client. I decided to get my nails done as well and because I was getting a manicure and pedicure I was given a glass of wine...which hit the spot and I shared it with my bestie. The pedicure was very relaxing and the conversation was amazing. The music in the background from their pandora playlist set a very calming yet energetic atmosphere in the salon. We actually met the owner and she has a very bright and bubbly spirit!! She was down to earth and great to talk to. If I'm ever in Dover again, and in need of a pick me up I will definitely be stopping by. My daughter and I have pedis with Ms. V and Ms. Paris. Walking into the boutique was breathtaking. So beautifully decorated it was eye catching! I arrived for my scheduled appointment but my appointment was pushed back a bit due to a bridal party that morning. Parris was really flexible in working with me and my schedule that afternoon so I could get my manicure and pedicure prior to starting my vacation. Let me explain something about this shop. If you want quality...I mean Quality Service this is the place to come. If you want to feel like a queen while getting your mani and pedi, this is the place. You will be greeted with a smile and referred to by name. No attitudes and no foolery. The owner Parris is so knowledgeable about her products and all other products that are used for nails. Now with all that said here is what some others that left reviews are referring to as a downside. They take their time with providing service. No rush jobs baby. They make sure you are satisfied with what you are paying for. You can not expect to be in and out. Come on a day you have time to spare. This place was not where my gps took me but I called the shop and got better directions and had no issue finding it. The owner was amazing. I had my sleeping 11 month old in my lap the entire time and she didn't mind at all. I was in and out in less than an hour. And I called last minute to make a same day appointment and they were able to fit me in. The place isn't like your typical nail salon and I loved that. They took my old acrylic nails off and managed to salvage my messed up nails! They look beautiful! The atmosphere here is very friendly and welcoming. Ms. V did an amazing job. She took her time and didn't rush the process like most other nail salons do. They have coffee, water and wine if you would like. They also have this adorable little candy/snack bar. A big bench filled will throw pillows. Makes you want to cuddle up with a book. Gordon did my pedicure. He was very professional AND personable. My pedicure lasted and I was soooo impressed by the team's level of excellent customer service, decent pricing, and great work that I booked a massage with Gordon (hey bday bud). Great deal - great results. I have fibromyalgia and he was very attentive and thorough. This is my new spot and I have even brought my best friend on board. My nails are nice. Nothing amazing, but not bad. I went in for a French Manicure on 5/31. I had a 4:30pm appointment, but was not sat at a table for my manicure until 5:14pm (1 minute before I was going to leave). Additionally, when I booked online, it said my appointment should take 35 minutes. I waited for 45 and the manicure itself took 75. 2hrs for a simple manicure. Gordan was nice, but he answered his personal phone twice during the manicure, which is unprofessional, though he did apologize. Their website states that a basic manicure has a "four butter moisturizing massage, essential oil steamed towels, cuticle care and polish". I received no hot towel, maybe 1 minute per hand massage with oil, and my cuticles were cut without being softened first. The website says a French Manicure is $20. The sign in-store says $16. The online appointment system said $24. I was charged $23. read more

I wanted to like this place. I really did, especially based on the previous reviews that I read. Parris was very welcoming, she instantly offered me a glass of wine and an iPad to watch netflix, she truly wanted to make me feel comfortable. The decor is very cute, i noticed some things that as a business owner i would not want customers seeing (i.e. the employee next to me sitting on her phone, the black markings all over the wall [Mr clean sponges are a thing!]) but to me, it was not a deal breaker and i was more focused on the work. By looking at prices online, I did not think that it was that unreasonable. 35$ for an acrylic fill and 10$ for an eyebrow waxing. Sold. Well, after 3 hours of sitting in the chair and repeatedly asking for them to be filed more- I gave up and left saying "they're fine." I had more things to do than sit in that chair. Parris was who did my nails- she took her time. At first I thought, wow this lady really does a great job and puts her focus in it. But then she continued to stop and check another woman's work, get up, and pause. (Maybe you shouldn't have an employee who you aren't confident in working on humans?) I mentioned to her that I had contacts and needed to have them filed down more. She filed them but then continued onto other things and ignored my request. So fast forward 3 hours later, I went with a friend who decided that she did not want a pedicure because of the price, she simply just wanted a polish change for 10$. Her total was $43.00. I did not get my eyebrows done (3 hours later i didnt even want to bring them up again when I told her thats what i was there for in the beginning) and my total was $63.00 for AN ACRYLIC FILL. When I called to mention it- she was TERRIBLY rude to me that I was unhappy when I left on the note they were fine. I had plans, after sitting there from 11-2:30- I did not want to take anymore time in that chair. If you have the money and time, go for it. But to me the quality did not match what her price point was. Part of my nail had a giant divet in it and the acrylic was not filed smoothly. I visited Parris Nail Lounge in June 2018. I recently relocated to the area and in search of a clean and professional nail salon. The salon is cute with hip furnishings. The color selection included a broad spectrum. Also the shop appeared to use top grade cleaning products. Why the two stars? My appointment was scheduled for 2 pm but we did not start until 2:45 pm. I left at 5pm and arrived 30 minutes late for my second appointment. The pedicure smudged after being told it was dry and the manicure chipped on day 2. Finally, the blasting music did not provide for a peaceful spa experience. Nevertheless the friendliness of the staff cannot be overlooked. Perhaps lower the volume for us old folk who need our ear drums! read more

Me & a friend of mines planned a girls day out and this was the first stop on our list. By the way-This was our first time coming to this nail/ spa salon. I had booked a pedicure for me and her @ the same time, and let me tell you, Parris nail Lounge is my absolute favorite salon out of all the places I previously been too. My nail tech was Ms. Parris, she is such a sweet, gentle and kind women. She did an amazing job on my feet & My friend had Ms. V for her nail tech, she was also very caring, outgoing and welcoming, and of course did a wonderful job on her feet as well. Both ladies were extremely professional and made us feel so comfortable. This place was so peaceful, quite and clean. It's such a cute place with inspirational decor all around. It just gives you a relaxed feeling, the minute you walk in.. it's A calm place to get away and get a break , while being pampered! Plus The prices were the best around as well. I recently moved to DE and have been looking for a nail salon to call "home" and this was the 4th place I tried. I have found my "nail salon home". Ms. V did my pedicure and manicure which was amazing and so relaxing, she didn't rush and made me feel so relaxed and my nails/feet look beautiful.
