This is a nail salon that is somewhat old-fashioned. By that, I mean, I was looking for a place to go with Mom to get our nails done. We didn't need all the 21st century new stuff the more modern salons have. Yes, Rose can use a bit of modernization. However, we were able to get in with an appointment time and get our nails done without extra fanfare. Service was kind and gentle. This is a small, locally-owned, get-it-done nail salon; one that is often hard to find. I feel confident that Mom will continue to visit Rose for nail care and I know she won't be prompted with pricey options she doesn't need. My favorite nail salon hands down. I haven't had a bad experience since I started going there. They do a wonderful job.

They post prices (on an electronic board - so easily changed). The board says one price and the guy who runs the place barks out a higher price. In addition, they are charging a 3 dollar surcharge on the use of credit cards. They have an ATM installed so you can support their cash generating efforts. I was upset to hear that my mom had come into the Rose Nails and Spa location, where we had enjoyed previous appointments, and was refused service for no reason. She had asked to make an appointment, and the young lady was flipping thru the appointment book claiming they were booked up for the next couple of weeks. If I could give this place 6 stars I would!! I was a walk in and was taken care of immediately. The staff is truly attentive and gives you a very personal experience. While I was getting a manicure I had a tickle in my throat that would not leave, my nail technician so kindly grabbed me water and a mint to help, I thought that was very kind. During my pedicure, I was asked how the temperature felt, if the scrub was okay or too rough, etc.. they really do care about your experience! Nothing was rushed and they took their time with their work and it shows! This hidden gem definitely beats out Lana nails and any other popular place by far. Just moved to Dover and have been searching for a place for my nails and I took a chance on this one because I was a little stand offish due to the very little reviews I found on them but they were close by, so I went for it and I am so glad I did. I cannot remember the ladies name that did my nails but she was incredible. My nail shape is perfect and her work is soooo neat. She also made sure that i liked the color on one of my nails before continuing to polish the rest which i really appreciated. I've never had my cuticles done so well before. To top off the great work, the entire shop was very friendly and helpful and the shop itself was very clean and nice. I paid $48 for a full set which was $43 for the set and $5 for the sparkle. Love you guys and look forward to many more visits!!! read more

This was my first time here and it was a wonderful experience. Lani was very kind and personable. She was extremely detailed in working on my gel manicure. She did an excellent job. This is by far the best place I have been in this area, being new here. The entire place was clean and followed covid guidelines. The place did not have the usual nail polish smell. It was quiet and peaceful. The only suggestion i have is to make the lighting less bright/harsh and maybe dont have a tv but instead relaxing music playing. Loved this nail salon. They prefer you to call to make sure you don't have a wait but I only had to wait a few minutes. They sent quite a bit a time on my toes, and massage. Price was 30 but I feel like I got a better deal here since I normally pay 37 for a spa pedicure somewhere else. read more

When I got there I got a gel tiger eye and I told her to go easy on my nails and the lady cut my cuticle?! And then I told her short coffin and they looked nothing like a shirt coffin she wanted a tip then later that night my nails were killing me they hurt so bad never going back here. read more

I can't say how much I love this place! The owners work in the establishment and they are so good at what they do. I was embarrassed to go in because I haven't had a pedicure in a long time and I have very calloused feet, but they treated me with total respect and tender care and didn't make me feel bad about my ugly feet. They pumiced the heck out of them, which was amazing! They didn't rush anything, and the massage portion was amazing. They weren't upset that I wanted to listen to a podcast and relax, and they were so thorough! I swear my feet have dropped half a size with all the callouses they took off!!!! The owner and her husband did my mani and pedi respectively and I've literally never had a better pedicure. I didn't like the initial color of my pedi after picking it out (my fault! Too pink) and they had no problem taking it off the two nails already painted and letting me pick another color. She was amazingly precise and caring when doing my manicure and pedicure (she painted my toenails but he did all the before stuff) and my nails and toenails have never looked this good. The salon was also sooooooooo clean and beautiful. The culture was great: all of the staff had really nice conversations with their clients, and it was relaxing and calming to be there.
