I came in as a walk in for a pedicure. The staff was very friendly! I waited for a bit before i got in a chair but it was not unbearably long at all. When the lady came to do my pedi she offered other services as well as was upfront about the cost of what i wanted done to my feet. The pedicure felt great im also glad she paid attention to the callous on my feet because most places dont focus on that. The massage was amazing as well! I will be going back! The cherry on top was her doing a special design on my nails i was very satisfied! Havent had a good pedicure around DOVER like that in a LONG time! read more

No stars for this place(but you can't give them no stars so one it is). They put gel on my step-sisters nails after we told them no multiple times. It should have been a total of $150.00 for what the three of us had done, but it became a total of $213.00. They snickered about the shirt that my step-sister was wearing. They wouldn't let her go to the restroom to the point that she was in tears. Don't waist your money on them, go to somewhere better that knows what they are actually doing. They don't listen and they talk about you. The gel nails that I had done lasted two days. The nail polish was so cheap to the point that it stunk. Got a regular pedicure, it was very comfortable and the staff paid close attention to details making sure I was comfortable and offering refreshments. My legs and feed got massaged with the basic package. I enjoyed my experience everyone is very friendly, and they take cards which is a huge bonus. It was $33 for the regular pedicure but I'm told there is an express pedicure which is less but does not include the massage. read more

I got a shellac pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails. Pedi was ok, the lady cut my pinky nail so short it hurt. She proceeded to tell me that it hurt because i had been picking at my old pedi, which I had not. I then went and sat and she started on my full set. I had a previous set on and she was going so fast trying to pop them off. As a result she hurt me quite a few times while trying to pop them off instead of letting them soak. She handed me off to a guy because her other appointment showed up. Mind you I had an appointment with her also. The guy was a lot better and takes his time! He is a pro at shaping nails and overall amazing! Only thing he can't really do is designs. I showed him a picture and he tried his best but I wouldn't go there for designs again. My appointment was at 11am. I got there at 10:45am and didn't leave until 2:30pm. I paid 196$ (not including tip) for a full set of acrylic nails and a shellac pedicure. I got my lashed done by them for 40 dollars and I took them off without even having them on for 24 hours. They looks thick as hell, blinking felt uncomfortable and the lady stated that she doesn't take them off because they have problems when I asked what she meant she just said take them off with solutions on Amazon. it took me 1 hour to take them off. point being DONT GET YOUR LASHES DONE HERE! read more

I've been coming here for about a year now. The employees are fantastic. Very friendly and do excellent work. I get gel manicures and have to say I'm very happy with how long the polish lasts. They remove the gel with individual foil wraps which is so much easier on the skin. They pay great attention to detail. The pedicures are also really great. The chairs are very comfortable and massage you as they pamper your feet. I highly recommend the spa pedicure which uses multiple packs of lotions along with the basic pedicures salt scrub, hot rock massage and hot towel wrap. They take walk ins but I would recommend making an appointment because they are usually pretty busy when the weather is warmer. I especially love that they take their time and pay attention to details. They never make me feel rushed. They also offer a long list of services including eyelashes and permanent make up. Having lived in Charlotte, NC and Washington, DC, there is very little about Dover that impresses me...except for VIP Nails! I went yesterday for a pedicure, and I have to say I haven't gotten a pedicure that good in AGES!!! It is open on Sundays and Mondays, in addition to other days of the week, which is nice--I always seem to want a pedicure on Sundays!. They also used hot rocks on my feet and legs, which was a brand new luxury for me, and I didn't have to pay extra. Yao took her time giving me my massage--in other places, the pedicurist just rushes through the massage part, which is no fun. AND, it's usually painful. Not Yao--no pain at all! My nails look beautiful and I'll be visiting again! read more

And had nothing to do with them being busy..Literally multiple workers playing on their phones doing nothing while my sister was waiting forever. I get you need a break.. That's fine. My husband and I had a pedicure at VIP nails, 4/12/14. It was my husband's first pedicure. It was a Saturday and they were pretty busy and understaffed. They only had 3 employees, the owner, another woman and a man. We had an appt for 1pm and we didn't get treated until like 1:30 or 1:40. They had us sit in the chairs and started our water, while they finished the peoples nails that they were doing. The chairs were awesome, even the seat massaged your thighs. We were offered something to drink water bottle or soda. I thought that was nice. The owner was ready to start on me, she did an amazing job. I got the deluxe pedicure, so did my husband and it was $40. I think it was well worth it. They use 2 different scrubs on your feet. They give the best foot massages. They also put hot steaming towels around your feet and let you sit for a while. at the end of the pedicure they lotion you and massage your feet and calf with hoe rocks. The rocks were not too hot and it feels great. It was the best pedicure I ever had. On the other hand my husband waited another 15 mins after i got started and the lady that did him kinda rushed through his pedicure. He enjoyed it, but not as much as I did. His towels and rocks weren't even that hot. We were informed that they had hired more staff that would be starting soon. I would still go again I really enjoyed my pedicure and if it was't for the wait seeing as though we had an appt and the lady rushing through my husbands pedicure I would have given 5 stars. read more

Terrible. First of all I had a picture of the nails I wanted. I wanted acrylic gel nails.My nails looked nothing like the picture. Second of all my nails were not even shaped correctly. The picture was something simple too. Just square nails and polish. I even asked her to redo them before she put the gel on. She didn't want to start over. Another lady came in and asked for eyelashes but the owner was like I don't have time but there was only 3 customers in the shop. This was the worst nail experience I have ever had. I went to a place in Middletown and the guy did a horrible job. I went to a place in Newark, his attempt to fix them still did not satisfy. So I found VIP on google, I literally drove pass this place every single day and never went in.. I decided to get the nails taken off and get a gel manicure. Vicki saved the day !!! I didn't have to get them taken off but instead she gave me a fill and they look like a brand new set ! I had to make my next appointment with her ! In addition, she asked how I was and made conversation to get to know me, that was the best part because you don't usually get that because of the language barrier in some businesses. I love to get my nails done early, so they accommodate me every time. Vicky does an awesome job and is very gentile with my feet because i am ticklish. I would recommend this place to everyone. OFFENSIVE however I say ok upon sitting in her chair she starts to say how much of a inconvenience my timing is and she should have said no really tho? I tried to make light of the situation and say well you'll be happy once that last customer is gone and you've made and additional $200 than you would have had.. First of all who do you think you are to speak to someone patronizing your business and spending any amount of money? But to speak so vocally in such a vulgar tone is completely unacceptable. I am a black woman and I believe in treating everyone fair but let me tell you I cut short all services and threw the money owed on the counter . It's always been a long carried joke that these salons talk nasty to us but never ever ever will I ever go to this salon again. They don't respect, appreciate or acknowledge that you provide lights, you fund schooling for their children , we pay to keep you open! Very rude. I will never go back to them. The owners are very disrespectful. I have witnessed how they treat women of color like second class citizens. I am a white woman and was very offended by this myself. I do not suggest anyone go there especially if you are a minority. Plus they are very expensive and their work is mediocre. First off, you should never soak off gel polish with your hands in a bowl of acetone. This is terrible for your skin and nail beds. This salon needs to update their technique to use foil and cotton balls. Second, they overcure the nails. My technician today tried to tell me you need to cure for 5 minutes. This is very unsafe as it can burn your skin and nail beds and ruin the gel. If I do go back, I will definitely ask for an experienced technician. read more

The only reason I even let her finish and gave a tip was because the young lady got me in last minute and was the least rude person there. I will never come back to this place again.
