Wish I could give zero stars just because of the owner. Started my nails on a Wednesday but I had a doctor appointment and it was taking forever. I told her I wanted a silk wrap. I've had it before, also called a fiberglass overlay. She said she does more natural nails and only uses a wrap for repairs. So I wanted tips, which you just use a form for the way I wanted them, but she proceeded to put on plastic tips. I deferred to her, since it's her business and the fact I have zero self-esteem. We only got two nails filed down before I had to leave. I came back the next day and she pawned me off on the apprentice. She is very nice, but I was rather insulted. So as she was working I was explaining that I didn't like what TR had done, but, since she's the apprentice, she defended TR. now, when I first was in, I brought my own polish which TR refused to use saying they only use fell because they guarantee the job. I didn't want gel, but again i deferred to her knowledge. I hadn't had a manicure in twenty years. What did I know? TR told me it was $30 - $35, I was charged $45. Again, no self-esteem. So this was Thursday. On Saturday I noticed a huge chip out of the nail. Not the polish, the tip I didn't want. Could be because TR filed the sides down to far and they didn't line up with my actual nail. The polish was all coming up around the edges too. It looked horrible. So they're closed Sunday and Monday. Between me fighting with myself and dealing with the anxiety of with asking for my money back or a redo, I called Wednesday to come in Thursday. TR wasn't in Thursday. I took my own polish again because that's what I wanted and was getting it this time. (Assertion, yay me) So the apprentice and I are talking and in the little side room I see a wall of OPI nail polishes!!!! I was never shown those!!! I was only shown the few gel colors they had! You'd think since I didn't like any of the gels TR would have just let me use one of those, or mine even. But she never even pointed them out!! So now I'm pissed. Even more so now. So this girl starts taking the gel off and I was telling her what I'd wanted, and asked for in the first place. She didn't understand why I didn't get it. So I end up with just a regular manicure bc my nails are now weak. I go to tip her and she says TR said I had to pay $25 bc they took the gel off!!! Come to find out they only "guarantee" the job for three days!!! Rip off. So the girl (I'm so sorry I've forgotten her name) goes outside and called TR. She says TR wants to talk to me. This is what she says. "We're done with you today. Don't ever come back! You've really done us wrong today!! Don't ever come back!! If you do, I'M CALLING THE COPS!!!" I had no intention of ever giving her my business again, but calling the police? This is just how irrational and unprofessional this woman is. I wish all the best for her apprentice, but I hope this woman shuts down. She's just unprofessional and a real jerk. read more
