Must visit place. Very chill spot, especially on a beautiful day. They welcome outside food so it's perfect for a picnic, which is what we did. Lots of dogs. I'm a fan of what Raj Parr is doing here - creating wine in one of my favorite towns, Cambria. Phelan Farm Trousseau has been one of my favorite bottles. I was fortunate to run into Raj on our way out and such a nice, humble guy who offered to show me around the cellars. Timing didn't work out but will definitely take him up on the offer next time. read more

Absolutely incredible experience! Scott took wonderful care of us while we enjoyed a tasting on the idyllic property. Surrounded by green, rolling hills, grape vines, and a quaint farmhouse & barn, this was one of the most beautiful places to sip wine my husband and I have experienced. We were told about this winery from someone at another winery in Paso. So, we tried it, since we were staying in Cambria. The Yelp! ratings were so high, it had to be good, right? Unfortunately, the wines did not suit our tastes. Given the owner's pedigree as a sommelier, our expectations were high. I've always been a bit skeptical of organic wines, and the six wines in the flight confirmed my prior experiences. They all had a vinegar-like taste--imagine what a wine kombucha would taste like. You'd think there would be at least one wine that was good, but we didn't find one that we enjoyed. The atmosphere, however, was amazing! We loved the farm environment with a beautiful lawn and tons of room for kids to run around. Dogs are welcome, too! Our server, Stephanie, was also very nice and knowledgeable about the wines. Please know that this is just two people's opinion on the wines. Lots of people must like these wines given the reviews. Again, nice place , nice people, but it was tough to drop $70 on two tastings and not find one wine that we wanted to buy. read more

April 12, 2025, Stolo Vineyards Beautiful setting and wonderful wine. We visited Parr Collective at Stolo Vineyards as part of the "Wine for Wildlife" passport tasting fundraiser, which included 9 tasting rooms. This venue, by far, was the most beautiful and relaxing. Plus, they are dog friendly. We were greeted by the winery dog upon arrival, which answered the question of whether it was okay to bring our pup. Kory greeted us immediately, and let us choose where to sit. The grounds are a beautiful park-like setting with tables and umbrellas, and a fenced area in the back with goats. The wines are delicious--we bought the 2023 Oso Rouge (Brij Wines), which is a red table wine blend of 65% mourvedre' and 35% grenache. Highly recommend a visit. read more

The winery had one server trying to take care of 30 customers that were spread out through the facility. It was also more kids yes I say more kids than a 30 customers there. It felt like a daycare and that's not the experience that I like when tasting wine. Speaking of the wines, it feels like they're doing the best they can with subpar grapes. It is not producing a fine high-quality wine in my opinion. It's not a place that we would go back to. The tasting menu had no Stolo wine but we were lucky that they ran out of the other rosé and poured the Stolo rosé. That was the only wine on the tasting lineup that our group of four enjoyed. We first got there no one came to help. We were sitting talking not paying attention. A lady pops out surprised we were there or that no one had helped us. Another lady came out and started our tasting. She said she was filling in for Scott (maybe). When the man came back he dived in and finished up our tasting and he was so knowledgeable. They have a few snacks for sale (he even gave me a free birthdaybag of chips). If we had known we would have set aside more time to really relax on the grounds. You can sit inside or outside at tables or chairs. What a wonderful experience. Monday and Wednesday the tastings are what ever they have open. I will be back next time I am in Cambria. read more

Got a chance to check out Stolo on a Saturday in March after checking out the Hearst Castle. Just a short drive past the Cambria shops and restaurants, it transforms into another world here. Such peace and serenity on the grounds, perfect for unwinding before dinner time. Happy Hour had a live singer and half price wines, all in the middle of nature. Wasn't any great views, but the amazing tranquility of sitting on the lawn, it was like a timeout that this world needs more of. Didn't get to reserve for the wine tasting, which is an amazing deal if the times work. Otherwise, the HH came with no strings attached, enjoy whatever wine you want to try and soak in the zen of being in a world away from the world. Chloe was friendly and helped me pick out my first round from the day's selections. Second round, a movie star looking gentleman Scott helped me, he just oozes charisma! Ended up getting 4 wine glasses with wife to enjoy the live music by Cassi (amazing to have her sing and play to add to the outdoor atmosphere). My wine taste buds are cheap and one dimensional, so I'm no wine expert. Just happy to be at a wonderful Happy Hour to enjoy. They had couple of snack type options, but I think you can bring in outside food, so maybe grab a sandwich or something on the way over and stick around to recharge yourself like an outdoor spa experience. read more

We attended the Vine to Table event last weekend and were somewhat disappointed. The gentleman who was talking to us in the vineyard never mentioned his name. He was so soft spoken that we couldn't hear a word he said. Kinda a bummer. The shrimp, salad and dessert were AMAZING! Loved the champagne and the Chardonnay. The Pinot noir served with the main course was not very good at all. Not good value for the money. read more

Stolo is a real gem in Cambria! The wine is so superb, and the setting could not be more beautiful. You are surrounded by flowers and grape vines, and you can visit their goats behind the gate. We had 3:30 PM reservations and visited this Winery in late August. It's a pleasing place, and the wines all had high marks in Wine Advocate (95 or 96). However we had been spoiled by a prior wine tasting at Tooth and Nail. This winery doesn't irrigate and all wines are created from the vineyards surrounding the property... and for the most part the varietals are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Tasting is/was $25 per person and a fee is waived for a purchase of two bottles. The tasting consisted of "Creekside" and "Hillside" versions of each wine. The wines we were most interested in (Rose of Grenache, and a Gewurztraminer) were not on the tasting menu and although our server told us she'd give us a crack at the Rose of Grenache, she apparently forgot about it and we didn't remind her because it was close to closing time. Again, unfortunately for Stolo, we had already tasted and purchased a Chardonnay and a Grenache from Tooth and Nail, and after tasting the two Chardonnay's at Stolo, we went BACK to Tooth and Nail and bought more. Tasting IS the best way to determine what wine you want... no use buying a glass or a bottle if it's not something you'll enjoy. There was an option to get a Charcuterie board. The introduction of cheese sometimes really aids in choosing a good wine, but we opted not to do that. Especially since the only wine we tasted that we would like to drink was the Hillside Reserve Chardonnay (even though we are big fans of Pinot Noir and Syrah). Stolo isn't a fancy place in the sense that the tasting area outdoors is a flat lawn with picnic tables (see photos). It's a nice setting, but overall, the wine didn't meet up to our expectations. They do offer live music on several dates, it might well be worth a visit then. read more

I came to Stolo with my parents for their anniversary. They have each table spaced out with such a generous amount you forget you are at a winery and feel like you're one of the only groups there. The staff was extremely nice and was attentive. All of the wines are estate grown and dry farmed. I am not sure if i have tasted it before or if it was my first time noticing the gewürztraminer varietal which has a really unique flavor. Stolo's was aged in stainless steel and neutral oak and has no residual sugar. I will definitely be on the look out for the gewurztraminer wines in the future. read more

On a recent visit to one of our favorite areas on the Central Coast we revisited one of the many wineries in the area. Stolo Vineyards now known as Parr Collective is a beautiful venue that offers tastings both inside their tasting room or outside on the very beautiful grounds. They have a big grassy area, a beautiful flower garden and a beautiful barn that is home to some friendly critters that love to be petted. We enjoyed our tastings outside. The service was excellent with great descriptions given for each wine and where the come from. All wines are made onsite which is a bonus for us. We appreciate the small boutique wineries. They offered some wines we had never tried before which was a plus. The tasting menu showcased the variety of the types of wines that they offer. They also offer music on certain days. We'd love to give them a 4.5 but that isn't an option. It is definitely worth checking out. read more

Parr Collective is fantastic! The wine, environment/grounds and staff are all fabulous! The wine tasting is fun, because it highlights wine that is very local. Also, if you are staying in Cambria, you don't have to go into town and wine taste, you actually get to experience being at a winery. On a whim while driving out of Cambria my friend and I decided to go the long way around. Then we see a little unassuming sign for wine tasting. Since we are never ladies to miss the opportunity to sip wine on the California Coast, we followed that sign! Stolo is lovely. They are currently seating outdoors only for Covid19 regulations, but they have lots of very spaced out picnic tables. The entire atmosphere is super relaxing, and the scenery is breathtaking. How the wine? Oh so delicious. We each had their tasting menu for $25 apiece. Each wine was brought out to our table so we didn't have to go traipsing about. The nice girl bring us our tastings was very knowledgeable and friendly. Stolo is definitely worth seeking out if you're in the Cambria area. I'm already looking forward to a return trip! read more

BEAUTIFUL, ZEN, AMAZING...plus Jazz!! We came here at the end of my birthday celebration week. -Super gorgeous and expansive green lawns and plenty of tables and umbrellas. There are well-manicured lawns and plenty of Instagram-worthy photo-ops! There is a soft and cool breeze, cooling the day and beaconing us to drink more of their delicious wines. ...plus they have GOATS!!! The staff is very sweet...super welcoming and very knowledgeable. I was VERY IMPRESSED by their super accurate wine tasting menu notes. Kudos to your staff for having great palates and noses! Our server, Stephanie, was a gem. She was spot-on accurate with her descriptors and led us down a deep, dark path of irresistible wines (each one equally impressive, which made my end purchase decision very hard. I am a die-hard red girl....But I have to tell you that I ended up leaving with a few extra bottles of both their Pinot rose (saignee method). Its only in contact with the seeds and stems for (4) hours, which equates to a superbly elegant rose'. However, hands down, my favorite white was their Gewurtztraminer! (Sweet nose, but softly dry). They also have a 97 point (wine enthusiast) Syrah for sale (but not for pour, due to limited allocation). We HAD to leave with a bottle in tow! Later in the afternoon, they had a rockabilly band play on-site, which perfected the afternoon! Thanks guys, for being such great hosts! You made our day very special. read more

Such a great place that seemed like a beautiful secret. Just off the far end of Main St. this beautiful location was perfect. We were having a mother daughter weekend and stopped here for some wine tasting. The tasting room and outdoor setting were gorgeous (certainly helped that the weather was perfect). Great spot with gorgeous landscaping, lots of open area to sit at tables, you can bring your own food in, dogs allowed on leash. They had some goats and chickens at the end of the property to go see along with a beautiful floral garden. The wine was spectacular. We had a rose of Pinot noir, dry gewurztraminer, Pinot noirs and syrah. All were great. I'm even thinking of returning to try their Chardonnay in the fall. And we left with a few bottles to bring home. read more

Would have given 5 stars but the hospitality was not hospitable! I did not get her name, but she was pissed at the sight of me and my 2 sisters, walking in at 4 pm on Sunday (with a reservation). She started waiting on us and got frustrated while we discussed our options. I feel as if she were to smile her face just may crack from never doing that. Thankfully, she handed us over to Shawn. He did not seem to happy to work with us at the start. The entire vibe by both were: it's 4:00 on a Sunday and we are tired. He was a bit disengaging. We are nice, fun girls and thankfully ended up having a great time. Shawn warmed up to us eventually, and was very informative, sharing his knowledge and love of wine and agriculture. I think "the gal" is an issue. When people arrive at a tasting room, being greeted with a negative atmosphere is not inviting. One sister decided to get a glass of Pinot. Two different Pinots were available to taste and they offered a taste of each before purchasing a glass. I thought that was very nice! Then two of us decided to share a tasting. We were quickly informed from "the gal" that we cannot use 2 glasses! Um, we know. We were prepared to SHARE the tasting/glass! Rude! Overall the wines are good. $53 for a Chardonnay is rather steep. The Pinots are very good. The Syrahs? I enjoy just about any bottle of Syrah, but these were BAD. Maybe they were bad bottles? It was sad we ended on such a 'sour' note. My advice, stick to the Pinots and Chardonnays. We'll be back because each Thursday they have live music from 3-5, and sometimes on Sunday! Love the picnic tables spread apart on the grass. I'll grab a bottle of Hillside Pinot and enjoy the music, avoiding any contact with "the gal". read more

The ambiance is nice, with live music on Fridays. The wine, unfortunately, is beyond horrible. The 59$ bottle of red tasted like vinegar and was way too acidic. I don't know how to winemaker could put his name on this and sell it. It really is a shame, as the staff is friendly and the place is fun. I hope they will improve their wine quality going forward, so I can come back and give a better review. Last time I was here was 7 years ago. I left due to the bad wine. The wine I had yesterday, was even worse than the wine 7 years ago that made me leave as a member. For potential customers, don't waste your money here. There are plenty of wineries in the area with a great ambiance that do serve quality wines. read more

During our stay here in Cambria, we decided to go for a nice bike ride and came upon Stolo Vinyards. This place is great! Normally, you need reservations to wine taste here, but they still accommodated us, without the reservation. We tasted six different wines and all were very good. The grounds are beautiful and so relaxing to enjoy the wine in this very Scenic countryside. Our host was friendly and very knowledgeable of all the various wines. The facility is very clean and the outdoor wine tasting area is spacious and wide open. We loved everything about this place and even came home with a delicious Chardonnay. read more

Stolo Vineyards was great! So spacious, with friendly staff, spread-out tables, delicious wine, goats, and beautiful barn/lodge in the picturesque background. We came on an exceptionally great weekend - staff said it was the first time the sun was out in three days!! The grass was very green, colorful flowers bloomin', goats nayin', corn-hole-a playin', wind-a blowin', and wine-a sippin'. I loved that we could bring our own snacks and utilize the picnic tables. The reservation site was very easy to use, and sent reminder emails. We ordered bottles inside and staff was very generous with samplings. We got convinced to get a bottle of the Chardonnay and it was excellent! It was a steel-aged chardonnay which was refreshing, light, and without the oakey hints that most Chardonnays I've had resemble. Staff and management also chatted among guests, explained the wine and shared about the vineyard owners, brought out glasses, and helped us take photos. The only destination winery in Cambria. 5 minute drive from the Village, yet it feels secluded and a world away. Relaxing atmosphere with gorgeous views of vines and mountains. The winery is perfect for families with kids - lots of space (perfect for distancing), and a barn with goats and chickens. The goats are super friendly and we loved petting and feeding them. For a small winery they produce high quality wines with much of their wines scoring in the 90s. The standouts are their Chardonnay, Gewurtraminer and Syrah. My favorite is both their Chardonnay offerings (estate and reserve) which says a lot as I am not at all a Chardonnay drinker. Their chards are drinkable and not as full bodied as other chards out there. I highly suggest checking them out. Wines are in the $20-$40 range. read more

This was the last stop on our wine tour. We intentionally made it last because we heard there would be live music from 3 to 5 pm and wanted to catch some tunes. When we arrived about 4 pm, the place was hopping. Music was playing, glasses of rose for sale right outside the tasting room, and lots people sitting in lawn chairs enjoying the day. The woman selling the rose' warmly welcomed us and pointed the way to the tasting room. The tasting room was somewhat busy, but we were able to find a place. Katie then took us through the tasting menu and was very knowledgeable and personable. She never left the bar and was able to serve many parties without skipping a beat. The tasting room was very modern looking, and the wine bottles/labels similar in appearance. No surprise, I liked everything I tasted, but couldn't take them all home. I eventually decided to go with the Chardonnay. The tasting was so fun that we never made it outside to hear the music, doh! So next time, we better do the opposite and make this place the first stop. read more
