Wouldn't say this is the prettiest vineyard especially with all the vineyards nearby offering beautiful ambiance but this one does the job in the city center of cambria. The tasting was on the expensive side but the person helping us w the tasting was really nice and friendly. The inside of the shop is pretty small but cozy. They offer four wines for tasting at $20 without tip or tax. We had a decent experience here. read more

Dirk (owner & winemaker) of Absolution Cellars in Morro Bay brought my husband and I here this past weekend. We knew we were going to be in for some delicious wine because winemakers ALWAYS know the good places to go, but what we didn't know was we were going to receive amazing customer service along with fun wine education that we loved! Reyna was the most amazing host and she was so knowledgeable about each wine! I loved that she was willing to teach us about their delicious riesling and pinor noirs (but she was also willing to not over talk had we been the type to want to sit by ourselves)! I learned alot from Reyna! Their Riesling was the best I've ever had! So good, very well balanced and only a little sweet. Their chardonnay was not oakey, which made it delicious for me! 1 pinot was "lighter" while the other was more full bodied. Both were absolutely delicious! My pinot loving husband bought the fuller bodied pinot because it was so delicious. The zinfandel was amazing and not jammy which we prefer! We were fortunate to do the cheese pairing and they use cheese from Viviant cheese in paso robles which made me so happy! And they sell the cheese too! We left with 2 bottles of wine and cheese and can't wait to go back!! Always trust another winemakers recommendation, they know where the good wines are!! read more

Cutruzzola was a last-minute addition to a wine trip to Paso Robles that required an hour-long detour out of our way. It was definitely worth the trip. They value Riesling, which is something that's sadly rare to see these days in the US. The Rieslings that we tried were relatively dry, though not bone-dry, and had some lovely honeysuckle notes and solid complexity. Their Pinots were also a highlight. If you think you've tried every Pinot along the California coast, come here to see a different expression from a unique coastal vineyard. It was a really neat experience to have several different years of the same grapes from the same vineyard in the same tasting so that you can directly compare vintages. The friendly folks running the place were great guides and answered all of our questions in detail. This is a place that's worth the drive from Paso or the stop along the 1 if you're a fan of Pinot or Riesling. Note though that the tasting area is pretty small, so best to make sure you reserve or call ahead. read more

Have been here many times and is a really nice place to stop for some wine and friendly atmosphere. Cutruzzola Vineyards focuses on Riesling and Pinot Noir. Each has their own unique and delicious flavors and always fun to taste the different years wines next to each other to in a mini vertical tasting. My husband and I randomly stopped in here when we were on a trip and I am so glad we did! We met Reyna, who was our sommelier, and she was just fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and nice, we had many laughs. I am very particular about my wines and have never liked every wine that was part of a flight or tasting. This wine was outstanding, every one!!! I became a Wine Club Member with them because their wines are just excellent with so much flavor, very smooth and creamy. I didn't get "cat tongue" on any of their wines. ("Cat Tongue" is a term my family uses when you drink wine and feels like it sucks all the moisture out from your mouth, just dries it up). Can't wait for my first batch of wines to be delivered. This place was tons of fun. Super laid-back tasting room, that, incidentally, also had *parking*, which they were happy to let us use while we explored the rest of Cambria and took a walk down the beach, which was super cool of them. The wine was great, too - especially their Riesling, which they're famous for. They actually had two different Rieslings when we were there - a dry one and a sweeter one. Normally I'm all about the dessert Riesling, but I like those really in-your-face - I felt their "sweet" Riesling was a bit too subtle, while interestingly, I felt the dry one had the illusion of actually being sweeter - it had less sugar, but more *flavor*. If I didn't already have too much wine back home, I might well have grabbed a bottle of that - it was some of the best dry Riesling I've had. (Often I feel like dry Rieslings are a bit too bitter, but this was absolutely not. It was gorgeous.) The rest of their wine was great, too, and as I said, it was a super laid-back place. Also bonus: when we were there, they had some samples out of some of the best beef jerky we'd ever had. read more

All the way at the North (West) end of Main Street, Cutruzzola's opened in 2015 I was told. Just a tasting room as the winery is in a different location. They have one communal table so we shared it with some other folks who were there. We got a coupon for free wine tasting for two people as part of our Cambria Pines Lodge package but we were disappointed that it only included 2 small tastes per person. Usually, you get at about 4-6 tastings at the other wine places in the area. If the coupon had mentioned that we probably would have not journeyed to the end of town. read more

Small location in town set apart from the actual vineyard. $8 tasting with 5 different wines but very small pours. Small as in two sips. The $8 is waived if you buy two bottles. Honestly, it would be better if it was with a purchase of a bottle since bottles range from 28 to mid 30s. Only 1 person working the counter when we arrived which was fine until 4 parties arrived at the same time. There were some good wines but if I'm doing a tasting then I would like to be offered water to rinse/drink before my next taste. She merely poured the next sip into the same glass mixing white into the red and then when I wanted to taste the Riesling again she just poured it into the glass with residual red so it became a rose. We were here in July of 2018 and had an amazing tasting. The Riesling and Pinot were both super good. We had an issue with an old cork and the business made it right immediately even driving to our hotel to switch us out bottles. Yesterday I visited Cutruzzola and I highly recommend you visit when you are in the area. They have a bright and cheery tasting room that is tastefully decorated and located immediately off Hwy 1 and Moonstone Drive. I enjoyed the Riesling..not your mother's Riesling, it has excellent structure and one of the two that they craft is dry, the other has a hint of sweetness. I could see that it would pair well with spicy food or on its own on a hot summer day. Karen who was behind the bar was very kind and shared a lot of interesting information about the wines, winery and owners. Another wine I especially enjoyed is their Zinfandel, it has great structure, is balanced, had nice flavors yet is more subtle than the huge Zins you find in Paso. It came across to me as a more European style wine. Very easy to enjoy on its own or with a meal. I left after they closed and about 15 minutes from the tasting room I realized that I had forgotten to purchase the wine flavored beef jerky. It was heavenly! I'll just have to go back as soon as possible...works for me! read more

After many tries, I have started thinking that 'good California Riesling' is a white unicorn - until I have tasted Rielsings from Cutruzzola. Amazing quality. All the wine was good, as far as I could tell. The overall experience was rushed and uncomfortable. I know this has already been mentioned in at least one review but the pours are tiny. I'm not looking for a glass of wine but seriously?
