This property is one of our favorite spots in Cambria Ca. to stay. The location is picturesque and the grounds are kept absolutely beautiful. The units have recently been repainted on the exterior. The restaurant is located off the main lobby area as well as a lounge. Food service is absolutely phenomenal. The courtyard area is beautiful. You can dine there as well. Just a beautiful place to relax and enjoy your meal. There is a swimming pool on this property and so many things to do within walking distance. The only problem was that our shower and sink had drainage issues that needed attention. We were left standing in water while showering. The interior of the units need TLC to include updating in all areas of the unit we were in. Cob webs greeted us at the entry door they had to be swipe away before opening the door. Stair wells also had cob webs which could have been easily removed by maintenance or house keeping. I still feel it's 5 stars because of staff , location , property, and the beauty of the grounds.

We came to Cambria for a one night stay at the pines lodge. We purchased the Pines Lodge Christmas package. You get one night stay at the Pines Lodge and access to the Cambria Christmas Market, one parking spot on property and breakfast the next day. Our stay included access to the full market including light displays, vendor booths and food booths. The Lodge is located in Cambria. The Christmas market and lodge are located on the same property. The rooms at the lodge are like cottages with very modern amenities. The inside is very nice. We stayed in a King large suite. We had two fireplaces, a mini fridge and a microwave. Our room was right next to one of the entrances of the Christmas market. We were just a few feet away from it, which was so convenient. We also had a balcony that looked over the Christmas market light displays. There was parking all over the property. We were able to find one right by our room. Breakfast was also included. It was a buffet style breakfast that was good. Our room was lovely and very clean. It's very quaint and cozy. My only complaint was the bed. It was extremely uncomfortable. I didn't sleep at all because of it. It seemed old and overused. There were imprints of where one would lay down, beach side of the bed. So when you lay down on it, you sink into a whole. It was awful. They need to replace that. If you have a sensitive back, the bed will be a problem for you. The check in and check out process was flawless. I did the pre check in and check out online. I highly recommend that. We were given a parking pass, breakfast pass and bracelets for entry into the Christmas market. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would love to return to the Christmas market next year but may opt to stay somewhere else because of the uncomfortable bed. Hopefully they will update their beds in the near future.

Was at a wedding here. So beautiful. All staff, super amazing except one lady at check in that seemed to hate being there. The venue was perfect. Great food and drink. Rooms $$$$$ but quiet and wonderfully appointed. Quiet. With a view. I'd go back. In forest just miles from the beach. Moonstone... Just serenity here with a beautiful pool, gardens... Live music nightly!!!!

I visited here stayed 2 nights the Christmas extravaganza here is absolutely amazing with glittering lights galore! I truly appreciated all the hard work to create this Christmas light amazing huge display of fabulousness! We strolled around for hours then the dining & bar area had live music, it was such a delightful holiday time with my son! The cottages are amazing here with a feel of true comfort with the fire place warmth! I plan to return this December with family!

King spa suite #519

One of our go-to places to stay on the central coast. Our latest stay was in a king suite spa tub room, with two fireplaces, two tvs, micro, fridge, full couch, lovely wooden furnishings which was reasonably priced in February. Grounds are lovely, especially their gardens behind the lobby/lounge. We have stayed here several times in an upstairs unit with a view out over the valley.Their Christmas lights are a must, but book early. Restaurant is great, the lounge has a happy hour and live music. You can walk down the hill to town, and its a great spot to stay if touring Hearst castle, or checking out the elephant seals ten minutes up the coast.

Lovely room and grounds. Beautiful view. Good location. Great place to stay to enjoy Cambria and the central coast.

This was my first time staying here and it did not disappoint. The grounds are so pretty and lush. I was here for a wedding and it was very memorable. The complimentary breakfast is from 7:30a - 10:30a and offers a nice selection. The rooms are comfortable and have a fridge, microwave and the ability to make some coffee. The lodge sends pleasant text messages and many of the features can be done electronically (including check out). Check in is after 3p and check out is before 11a.

The only picture I took From the butterfly garden.

Not good hospitality, receptionists were rude. This is not the place to go. We were shocked from the attitude of the receptionist.

I am here b/c there was an incident started by a hotel employee and from what I've gathered, once the hotel was alerted to the incident, the employee was fired. AS IT SHOULD BE. It is the actions of THE EMPLOYEE that created the problem. The hotel did nothing but, unable to predict his future behavior, hire him. For all of those who are leaving reviews over Palestine and slandering individuals for the actions of their government are nasty agitators who are now trying to ruin a business or create additional work for people who played no role in the behavior of their employee/co-worker. It is a clear reminder of the nastiness of this group of people. I have witnessed the behavior of others who seem to follow the teachings, preachings or suggestions of the "Free Palestine" movement, who, rather than demonstrate against POLICY, have chose instead to attack random people whom they believe to be all of the things that they (the "activists") have been told. I understand the draw to doing this as it gives them a rush of adrenaline and a sense of accomplishment to disparage, frighten, assault, murder, ruin an individual because to actually influence changes to thinking and to policy is a time-consuming labor of love. I know this. I am a peace activist from the early 80's. I've watched people die of old age, having never seen the change for which they worked so tirelessly, because WE FOUGHT AGAINST POLICY and it is difficult to change. While holding his view of a group of people being fascists and murderers, this employee (RYAN SMITH) displayed a convincing and exhaustive assault on individuals who merely came to a hotel for a stay and hold no more power than he holds. In this instance, it was an employee who personally attacked a couple who only wished for a room (wow, biblical). He stood in the way of their right to freely travel, to have their own beliefs, to feel safe in the USA and in the presence of this individual. This employee, who looks at the camera and innocently claims, "all I did was say 'Free Palestine'" filmed himself violating their protections under the constitution and behaved in the same way he accuses the GOVERNMENT of Israel of behaving. God Bless this couple that were treated so terribly. I wish only the best for the employees and the owners of Oceanpoint Ranch.

We stayed in a first-floor ocean view room since we had a service animal, and the room size was great. The grounds are well-kept, there's convenient beach access, and I loved that they have an adults-only hot tub--that was a nice touch. The person who checked us in was also very kind and welcoming, which set a great first impression. Unfortunately, things went downhill that night. Our upstairs neighbors were stomping loudly for hours. Around 8 PM, I called the front desk to let them know, and I was told they would reach out to the room--but nothing changed. By 10 PM, the noise was still going, so I called again. This time, instead of resolving the issue, I felt like we were being questioned. We were told the guests upstairs said they were already in bed, which didn't line up with what we were clearly hearing. The situation was frustrating enough that I tried to get their attention by tapping on the ceiling, which then got turned back on us as a complaint. When we asked about switching rooms, we were told the hotel was sold out and we'd have to wait until the next day--which I understand--but the way it was handled by the manager was disappointing. There was no apology, no empathy, and the tone came off dismissive and rude, which made the situation worse. I really wanted to love this place because the location and property are great, but customer service matters, especially when issues come up. Because of that experience, I'd think twice about staying here again.
