    Breakfast hard boiled eggs

Resort-style hospitality meets cool modern surf style shack. The level of attention to detail this little boutique hotel offered, just absolutely tickled me. It felt honest, carefully curated, clean and lightly elevated--I felt like I was I guest in someone's home, a B.B. feel. Come for the free bicycles, the quaint little breakfast w/ local pastries--fresh squeezed orange juice--speciality oatmeal, Unwind on the comfy mattress, put on the fireplace, and treat yourself to their decadent smelling soaps/shampoos that put you in spa mode. Kombucha at check-in, curated snack bar & wine options in the room, It's clean, the staff is refreshingly & genuinely kind, beautiful moonstone beach is steps away.. honestly what more could you want? nothing is the answer. A spontaneous trip sometimes means spontaneous stays, it was either drive home 4 hours in the dark of night or see if the hotel next door to our oyster dinner has availability. Consider us lucky the best hotel on the row was the one we happened to walk up to. Ruth effortlessly inspired us to stay because of her simple kindness & going the extra mile to show us what this hotel offered. Other hotel options we looked at didn't hold a candle. Saying I'm eager to come back soon is an understatement!

Breakfast offering - pastries, fruit, oatmeal, coffee, tea, OJ, hard boiled eggs + oat milk, almond milk, and half and half.

Adorable beach hotel that feels newly renovated. I loved the location - waking up and crossing the street to the surf was fantastic. I also thought the beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. We had a fireplace in our room and were very warm - gets cold at night even in summer. For $12a night, you get a light continental breakfast, parking, WiFi and beach bikes. I loved the light breakfast because it had high quality breakfast products and nondairy creamers for coffee. The beach bikes were SO fun to scoot around town. I wish that they had a rack to store surf boards or a place to rinse off sand. They're newly (?) associated with Hyatt but they don't recognize or offer the typical status benefits like room upgrades or 2pm last check out (Bummer!).

    Great little lobby lounge.

A great option on moonstone beach. One of the most contemporary places to stay in the area. Well managed and maintained. Two EV chargers $2 hour. Some rooms have fireplaces

Lovely. Saw a Breathtaking sunset on the sky deck. We all clapped when the sun went down because it was so beautiful. Super dog friendly. I love dogs. Room was SUPER clean and we LOVE THAT! The front desk was great, helpful regarding this charming community and gave us a pamphlet. The GM was so helpful as well, as the night front desk lady. Great customer service. Will be coming back when I am in the central coast.

The location is so ideal. You're right across the road from moonstone beach and it is gorgeous!!! I would stay here again in the winter time, as the rooms do not have ac and coming in during summer after hiking and exploring made my stay a bit uncomfortable forsure. There was a small personal fan but omg I was dying and ended up just going back out to cool off. It was quiet and I slept well, rooms are contemporary and nice but there is an odd stale smell. The shower also was odd and water got all over the floor as there is only one glass slide. Our door seemed to be jammed as we would try to enter our room each time. Also beware of the parking, very tight. Overall I would recommend for a quick stay or getaway for 1 or 2 ppl.

This is by far the best place we've ever stayed at on Moonstone Beach - if you're planning a trip to Cambria, this is where you want to be! Completely remodeled the rooms and bathrooms have a chic beach cottage vibe. There is also a sky deck with ocean views & chill music where we enjoyed our al fresco dinner and watched the sunset. We used the complimentary bikes daily to bike along Moonstone drive- so awesome!! The room comes with a nice complimentary breakfast of fresh breakfast loaves (pumpkin walnut & lemon ginger), bananas, oranges, oatmeal in their gorgeous ocean view lobby. The service is great and I am so hooked on this place- so happy there's a great place to stay now on Moonstone Beach. I will be a regular.

Really enjoyed the complimentary wine with ocean view and one of my biggest reasons for booking it was due to they accept dogs, which says a lot about an establishment. That being said, there are areas for improvement. When I checked into my room, I noticed that the the dark blinds were stuck so I went to the office to see if they could help. The manager came to my room; tried to lower them and agreed they were stuck. She said she would ask the maintenance person to fix it. A day went by and nobody came by. I was awoken to a bright room early in the morning so my sleep was cut short. I went back the office and the same manager welcomed me with "yeah, what's up"? I highlighted that nobody came by to fix it and she seemed pretty indifferent but said she would request it again. Needless to say, nobody showed up to fix it during my whole stay so I was greeted with shortened sleep thanks to the bright room in the mornings. While I was checking out, I highlighted this to the new manager and she laughed it off, saying that's why she brings blindfolds when she travels. No discount offer or anything. Furthermore, their door key cards are the most sensitive I have ever encountered. I had to have them reprogrammed 3 times during my stay. Also, the owner apparently requested that they close the wine tasting early due to rain so, when I showed up to use my complimentary wine vouchers, I found it closed over an hour earlier than their posted closing time but the server did provide me with the complimentary wine since I was a guest but they were no longer offering food so no marinated olives and nuts to go with it. That being said, the Inn does have a great location; is a value and I love that it is dog-friendly but they do need to work on their customer service. Oh and some more Vegan options and recycling/compost bins would certainly help.

Were there any dimmers to adjust the lighting down from solar flare to reasonable. Nope. Just the palm of my hand or sunglasses. Again By the way, the Cambria area is awesome with some great wholesome dining experiences. Linn's and Robin's. Wow! We've stayed along Moonstone over the years. Just never @ the Cambria Shores Inn. Guess what? Never again because there are lots of choices along Moonstone. I'd like to rate it a 1 star. But, Mother Nature helped take the feeling of total disappointment away. There is no AC unit, which may be an issue for some guests. especially for hotter days and the room does not have cross wind/circulating windows, Also, the booking photos show a sliding glass door to the beach (Hotel.com needs to update photos), but the hotel is actually across the street. Our window faced the water, but it's not a direct walk-out beach property. Now for the positives, the staff (all of them) were amazing. The rooms are bungalow-style and very clean and spacious. The hotel is pet-friendly $100 fee, and check-in/check-out was easy. The check-in area feels cozy and homey, with couches, chairs, books, and games available. They offer beer, wine, adult beverages (Adult options for your coffee), plus a kitchen and outdoor fireplace sitting area. The hotel is directly across the street from the beach, about a 2-min walk to the water. The room was large and well-stocked with a mini fridge (fees may apply), huge comforters, bathrobes, slippers, a fan, fireplace, shower supplies such as body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, and a sitting chair. There are many additional amenities available for a fee in the room and in their lobby area. In the morning, they deliver a basket with pastries croissants, cinnamon rolls, coffee, orange juice, and champagne, a really nice touch. They also have bikes you can use and go bike riding, corn hole games, picnic benches, There's also an ice maker on-site. Parking spaces are small, so be cautious if you have a lifted truck or wide rims. The area itself is very nice. The hotels along the coastline are set up similarly, facing north and south, so most have somewhat obstructed or no ocean views or direct walk-on beach access. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place, Hotel cost wasn't too bad but remember all the hotels in this area do not have walk out beach rooms. Area is very quiet, relaxing, and peaceful, and EVERYONE is pet friendly even with a pitbull breed. Our kids had a blast in the ocean and were able to play board games eat ice cream and enjoy the scenery. there are several benches along the walk path in case you need to sit down and relax. There is small community town about 15min tops. several restaurants and shopping. old town style, very homey. so, if you're looking for a disconnect type of vacation, no party scene, just want peaceful and relaxation, this is the place. I will attach pictures and I do apologize because these were at the end of the trip and not when we first arrived. so, excuse the beds. The hotel was very clean and have hardwood floors.
