I also enjoy wearing colored contact lenses but have a unique BC that it was hard for me to find ones that are comfortable. Dr. Kim was able to show me the difference between daily and monthly and I got to try on some cute grey ones. The assistant was also great and sweet. Didnt catch the name of the receptionist but she is so darn awesome. Helped me choose my color contact lenses, explained billing, and even assisted with getting my PD because I can never remember. After being patients here for more than 7 years, this experience has been extremely disappointing. Obtaining your own medical records should not require repeated emails, text messages, and phone calls over a period of weeks. I came in about a month ago to get contact lenses for the first time. After seeing the perfect reviews, I decided to give Optometry Corner in Irvine a try despite the higher price for an eye exam. I was told that my contact lenses would arrive a week after my eye exam. After a week I didn't receive a call and when I called to check in, I was told that my contact lenses were delayed for a month and then was told that it was the standard wait time. So I waited, a few weeks passed by and then I received a phone call that my left eye lenses have arrived and if I already picked up my right eye. No I haven't, because they haven't arrived yet. So another week went by and I finally got a call that my right eye lenses have arrived and I can finally come and pick up my trial lenses. Keep in mind, this is my first time getting contact lenses. When I come into the store, they hand me a little brown bag with my lenses and tell me "that's it". After arriving home and realizing the difficulty of wearing lenses, I call the office of Optometry Corner to schedule a training session. The girl mentions that since it was my first time I should've had that scheduled but due to a new hire and miscommunication, I will have to wait to see a doctor for the training. I hate to be on the side of negativity or even leave a bad review on a business that requires hard work, but unfortunately the incompetence of basic customer service interaction has been ridiculously frustrating and has worn my patience thin. I found a place in Irvine and, before going, decided to check the reviews. To my surprise, I came across a few negative comments, especially about the front desk staff. When I arrived, I asked the first girl for her name--Kaitlyn--and she was incredibly kind, professional, and welcoming. I then had my eye exam with Dr. Figueroa, who was also very professional and genuinely kind. After my exam, I interacted with another front desk staff member and asked her name--Karla. I realized she was the one mentioned in some of the negative reviews, so I'll admit I was a bit curious. But to my surprise, my experience with her was completely the opposite. She was warm, helpful, and very professional. I even told her I would be leaving a positive review because my experience was great--not just with her, but with Kaitlyn and Dr. Figueroa as well. I think sometimes people may be having a bad day, and unfortunately, it's easy nowadays for others to focus only on the negative and forget to share positive experiences.
