Goat cheese appetozer
Monica S.

We've been coming here awhile, and unfortunately some aspects seem to have declined. I used to particularly love the baked items here - the pizza and bread were just exceptional, well developed dough, well seasoned and wood fired, and tasting of excellent olive oil. The last couple times we got the pizza, the dough looked almost as flat as a flour tortilla and seemed to have been mechanically pressed in advance - more of a flavorless flatbread cracker than pizza dough. My favorite pizza, the Greek pizza, which I remember for its delicious high quality olives and creamy feta, isn't offered anymore. The formerly complimentary bread is now an add on (which okay I get it, everything is more expensive now). Prices seem higher but ingredient quality/execution seems lower, which is a bummer. I noticed that the branding, logo, and menus have changed - with many but not all the same old items - so I wonder if they have changed ownership in the last couple years. The service is still great and the ambiance is still lovely. Their revamped outdoor patio is quite nice. We will probably still stop by on occasion. But some of the things that made me enthusiastic about this spot in the past have been missing in our last few visits, which means there's less here to pull us back.

The Sole from the specials menu

Our host and server were great for my partner and I's anniversary! They gave us a cute little card to commemorate the meal. We ordered the prawns, the wood fired pasta, and the sole. Wonderful food, great portion sizes, and a beautiful ambiance for a date night. Will definitely be coming back to park side grille!

PG signature burger with bacon added

Nice lay out, easy parking, romantic feel and option to sit indoors or outdoors. A little on the pricey side but the food was good and I'd come back for sure. The P.G burger add bacon was so good and the Mac and cheese was also really good with none of that fake cheese taste. Service was friendly and welcoming. They accommodated our large party of 12.

Outstanding food, service, ambiance! Love the outdoor seating amongst the redwoods (soo lovely!) and also love the classy indoor space. All the waitstaff are so professional, kind, and attentive. Owners Hope and family are so welcoming and kind! Every meal here is a fantastic experience. PV is a really special place. Fav dishes: salads, pizza with mushrooms, cambazola, balsamic glaze, and arugula (and yay they have a great gluten free crust!!), sorbet, Mac n cheese. Yum!!

THIS RISOTTO WAS BOMB

I will always give this place five stars because it's so good. The Mac and cheese is a must have. They changed the dish they served it in but I still love it. Halibut was fire. The ahi pepper tuna was not that great. It was so peppery. Parkside if you're seeing this it's okay to have less pepper on the ahi. I know it's pepper ahi on the menu but what if it was something else instead. Chocolate lava cake was so good as well. Lava to cake ratio could have been higher but I'm really nitpicking here. Love this restaurant

Beautiful setting for a meal

We enjoyed a lovely anniversary dinner here last night! The service was great, the ambiance was very nice and the food and drinks were top notch. We enjoyed a blackberry smash and espresso martini, as well as the calamari caesar, mac and cheese, ahi tuna and sole. For dessert, we had the apple blossom, which was also delicious. Beautiful setting among the trees with fairy lighting and pleasant music and the waiter took a very nice photo of us. Thanks for making our anniversary special!

Mac and cheese ! Yummy :)

IMHO Today's visit…read moreto Buck's was great! First of all, we made a 3 p.m. reservation, which meant ample parking choices and an almost empty restaurant! We were given a comfy, cushioned booth by a front window for our party of four. We ladies asked for two orders of the Salmon Fish Tacos, $18, one order of the Heirloom Tomato B.L.T., served on soft rosemary focaccia, $18, and one order of the Pastrami Reuben, $18. The sandwiches come with fries, which you can sub out for sweet potato fries or salad for an additional $2, or fruit or onion rings for $3. I loved my BLT. Because the focaccia was soft, I didn't have to fight getting the sandwich in my mouth. It was yummy and delicious. I ate half of my generous portion and brought home the other half for dinner. Next time I hope to return for breakfast! I hear their coffee cake is a must-have!

It is worth it just to wander the dining rooms and gawk at the things on display! The service is quick and friendly. The food is very good. This is a great place for an interesting lunch with a friend. I had the large bowl of chili with extra-extra cheese ($12). The chili was tasty and filling. There was a dollop of sour cream on top and also under the chili, which made for a great taste combination. One improvement would be to have less beans and more meat. My wife had the Double Smash Burger ($19), which was extremely thick with meat and very tasty. She also upgraded the fries to Sweet Potato fries ($2 extra), which were worth it. She kept raving over the great taste of her lunch!

For a menu that's a little all over the place (I mean that in the best way possible; Loco Moco *and* Chilaquiles on one menu is diabolical), every single dish we ordered was prepared just right. If you care about your waistline, do not get the Umami Fries with curried ketchup; that pile of deliciousness will have you addicted like a fiend with its tangy, savory flavoring. Deviled Eggs were standard, if not for the hint of kimchi. I didn't try the Chicken & Waffles or BLT my table ordered. I ate my fair share of Lemon Butter Prawns; a side comes with six pieces & trust me, you won't want to share. The Loco Moco was incredible -- earthy mushroom gravy over sticky sushi rice and a chuck & brisket patty. Topped with an egg (made over medium like I requested) & finished with a side of arugula salad (my favorite greens) & I was full for days (just kidding, hours.) We ordered a lightly-dressed Caesar Salad with avocado just to cleanse our palates from all the rich textures & flavors. I'll be back for dinner STAT, so please save me a seat.

We had no idea a restaurant like this was out in Woodside. The unassuming cabin led to a rustic bar, which then led into a greenhouse room, surrounded by redwoods. Our friend and our toddler loved the views. Food itself was fantastic, everything was very well prepared and there were plenty of vegetarian options as well. I had the quail as a starter and the venison, as my entree. The quail was very well, seasoned and well cooked with very juicy and tender and flavorful meat. The crust was perfectly crispy and was flavorful as well. The venison did not taste gamey at all and was melt in your mouth tender, i really enjoyed this dish. Finally, I had the panna cotta as a dessert, which we confirmed with the restaurant was vegetarian without gelatin. Very light panna cotta without being too cloyingly sweet.I really enjoyed this one too. Everyone else really enjoyed their meals as well. And had nothing but good things to say. I said " no thank you, no bread please" he then turned to my husband and asked "sir would you like some bread?'. I felt more than disrespected, it was rude the way he said it. The food: mediocre/B+. I HATE a pre fix menu, especially in a place like this. Get over yourselves- you are not pre fix material. I had the beet salad, my husband had the butter lettuce- the salads were fine but nothing wow. The mains: he had the pork chop, basically a high end schnitzel. I had the trout which was more like salmon. Again- it was fine but nothing to write home about. The desert: my husband had the pistachio cake (tiny piece) with what I like to call "lard" frosting (buttercream). That was a C+. I had the chocolate caramel torte (also tiny). It was a tasty little hockey puck. I struggled to eat it, a large steak knife would have helped. It was delicious but VERY hard to eat. The prices are very high for what you get.

I generally avoid omelettes getting scrambles instead because restaurants tend to overcook the eggs. Our dishes were prepared with quality and flavor in mind.
