Brookdale Cafe & Grill is a mandatory stop for me when I'm riding the motorcycle northbound on highway 9. I'm also going to award five stars. The first star is for personality and service. Staff is super duper friendly Second star is for location. This is typically mile 120 for my ride, so the absolute last rest stop before the haul home. Third star is because of the amazing playlist they always have going when I come in. First time I came in, I felt like I was one of the good fellas, and Tony was going to Pat me on the shoulder telling me whatever I need, they got me. Second time I came in I feel like they were playing my exact Spotify playlist. Personal. Fourth star because the food (avocado bacon burger with fries) it's always so perfect. Don't tell anybody but I think it's the best value ever. Juicy burger, thick bacon, fresh avocado, perfect fries. Fifth star because the ambience is spot on 1950s shake shack kind of place This is definitely a place on my map. I look forward to always visiting this place and I hope that it lasts!

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming and accommodating. We asked if we could sit upstairs near the band, and they immediately made it happen for us. That alone set the tone for the night -- no hesitation, just great service. Sitting upstairs by the live band made the whole experience even better. The energy was fun, lively, and perfect for a Valentine's celebration with friends. We were able to enjoy the music, laugh, and really soak in the atmosphere. The customer service was amazing all around -- attentive, friendly, and on point the entire night. And the food? Incredible. Everything we ordered hit. I can confidently say this might be my new go-to spot for special occasions or even just drinks with friends. Great vibes, great food, and great service. We'll definitely be back!

It was closed due to a private party upstairs. The food took some time to serve, but it taste really good. Love my full back ribs and Jalapeño Cheddar Cheese rings! Was not able to take pics because we were hungry lol. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome without being overbearing. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable, making it a great spot to catch up with friends or enjoy a casual meal. They made my birthday extra special with their lemon raspberry cake. Yum! I'll definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu!

Service is next-level friendly (they're basically homies), and everything comes out quick without cutting corners. I somehow remember everyone's name... except Alex? (Is it Alex? Sorry, man. I'll get it eventually.) The ambiance is like your favorite slightly-chaotic dive bar--mounted animal heads and all--but way cleaner. No shade Monty. The music swings from emo to Shania Twain and somehow always works. There's solid outdoor seating if inside isn't your vibe. I've learned how to play Mario Kart on their little TV, discovered I don't hate Cats, and even squeezed in some laptop time (WiFi's a little iffy, but there are spots nearby if you need it). Honestly, this place is kind of epic--and it's because of the staff and guests are SC beasties and beauties

Sea for Yourself…read more Eponymously named bar featuring the beers of the namesake that shares a space with bakery/eatery (Emerald Duck, which has a separate Yelp page, fwiw) and is located in the historic Cremer House (remember this now). The Good: * Friendly bartenders * Large shared parking lot with Wild Roots * Beers are as fresh as it gets, as they're brewed just a few miles away in Santa Cruz. * Full bar with liquor, if you're not here for the beer. * Food at the Emerald Duck is fantastic. Definitely come hungry. * Large dog-friendly outdoor seating The Meh: * I don't know why, but I'm just not a huge fan of Humble Sea's Hazys. They're always just a little bit off for me, but with that said, I'm a picky b¡tch when it comes to Hazys. So take it fwiw. The Ugly: * We tried visiting here once before but got scared off by the signage in the parking lot that states something to the effect of "Parking for Wild Roots Market and the Cremer House." Well, we had no idea what the "Cremer House" was, so we got scared of getting towed and dipped out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Conclusion: Beer and burgers. 'Nuff said...
