We love this little gem! A couple times a year our family does a weekend trip to the Santa Cruz area and we always stop here on our drive home. It never disappoints and the staff is always friendly and accommodating. It's clear they have a lot of regulars, which is just such a sweet vibe. I've tried multiple things, but I love the Hawaiian omelet and all of the other omelets I've tried. They offer reasonable prices and such a cute atmosphere. We went here since we were staying in the area. Never know what to expect with breakfast places. It is a good sized diner with outdoor seating. We were a party of 6 and were seated right away. We ordered coffees, Denver omelette, eggs Benedict, corned beef and hash, Mickey pancake for the grandson and chicken fried steak. Our server took care of us. He was a serious looking guy, but he was a jokester. He definitely put a smile of faces. Let me tell you- this place was a pleasant surprise. It even beats our favorite breakfast joint. Hash browns were nice and crispy-just how we like it. My grandson devoured his pancake. My Denver omelette had the right mixture of ham, bell peppers and onions. I usually eat half of my food, but this was eaten to the last bite. My husband and daughter loved their gravy. They are used to homemade cream gravy and this was one of the best ones they have had besides mine. Chicken fried steak was well seasoned and my daughter enjoyed every bite. The eggs Benedict was enjoyed by all. The sauce was so flavorful. Best I have ever had. My husband's corned beef and hash was devoured. My 10 year old and myself enjoyed. Breakfast Sandwich with Sausage & Hash Browns, Huge serving, hearty and satisfying. Our teen devoured it and raved about the flavor combo. Mouse Pancake with Fruit , A total win for our 9-year-old! The pancake itself is massive, and the fruit selection was above and beyond, peaches, kiwi, apple, watermelon, and more. Definitely not your typical side of fruit. Santa Fe Omelet, Packed with flavor, spice, and perfectly cooked potatoes on the side. Personally, I'd love even more heat and maybe a little steak thrown in, but overall a filling and delicious dish. Overall: Auntie Mame's nails the combination of comfort food, playful service, and big portions. Interesting almost want to say dive. Outside seating in the parking for seating with dog. Huge clapboard sign stated "Please wait to be seated ". Like previous reviews we stayed there. Three men came from the other direction and went straight in. They immediately came out and left. An employee came out the door and asked how many. "Two people and a dog" was are reply.
