I ate lunch at this cafe last week (June 2026). I had marinated chicken breast with fried okra and fried squash. The food was wonderful. The price for the food was surprisingly low, especially considering today's economy. There was enough food for me to get full and take some home for dinner. The hushpuppies brought to the table while waiting for the food would melt in your mouth. The waitress was friendly and the food was served timely. There was not much ambiance considering this is a cafe; but, I liked how it was laid out. They have two large rooms for groups of 15 or more. There is plenty of seating. On the way home from Florida. Stopped here for some good local food. Had the house chicken with with green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy with a sourdough toast. Off the hook! Washed it down with sweet tea. Most importantly, the wait staff were genuinely friendly as well as the local customers. If you find yourself in Pine Level this is the spot! read more

Excellent home cooking buffet. Deserts are exceptional. The restaurant space is large and usually crowded.

While visiting the local winery we asked where we should stop for lunch, this is where they sent us. Such a cute little diner, with a very simple and cheap menu. Our waitress was your typical southern grandma who called us "baby" and "hun." Things you can only get away with in the south! The restaurant was insanely clean! Food is excellent, staff friendly and place is clean. Prices reasonable. The only problem I have is they are not open on weekends.

This is a very good local restaurant. Customer service is great and the price is for value and portion sizes are reasonable and affordable for any budget. Southern cooking at it's best. One of the few places where they have chicken livers on the menu. While that may not impress most, I was excited, and not disappointed. My wife had the turkey and dressing and it was very good. They have a regular menu plus daily specials with everything from chicken livers, to hamburger steak, seafood and a good selection of homemade desserts. There is a large dining room for meetings. While it is a little out of the way it is worth the drive. read more

We were on a winery day trip and this place popped up on Yelp! Honestly not much to look at but it was clean and the salad bar though small was fresh and well maintained. Yelp friends are so true! Excellent coffee, superb service (Ms Shirley is a joyful spring burst of energy), food is prepped fast and clean, and a very quaint, but quiet enviroment. Great stop just a few minutes off the highway. We are from New Jersey and always looking for a great meal. Wonderful hush puppies, nicely grilled flounder with cole slaw (finely chopped, lots of dressing and a bit sweet) just the way I like it.
