We called and left a voicemail message about a small repair job we needed help with and received a call back before the end of the day. We then texted and forwarded pictures of what we needed help with and almost immediately received a response with a ballpark repair figure. Two days later, the gentleman came to our house and quickly and efficiently completed the repair job and the cost was under $200.00. The "ballpark" figure was anywhere up to $1,000.00. He replaced some wood that looked eaten away (squirrels?) under our Bay window and did an excellent job. We are totally happy with the repair job and with Jake, who came to do the repair ... more than pleasant and knowledgeable. We will be calling on them again whenever we need help around the house.

The work product is exemplary, communication is open and frequent, and most critically we've built a trusting relationship. In addition to repairs, remodeling, and maintenance, Your Handyman DFW has hired and managed other tradesmen, as well as interfaced with my tenants and realtors seamlessly.

Walked into store and got price on wood flooring product. I then had the older couple running the…read morestore come out to verify measurements and to quote for install. That's when the price of the wood flooring started going up in price. I questioned the older man about the price, because the price quoted in the store was much lower than the invoice price he sent me. He then sent me another invoice with a lower price, but still not the price provided in the store, even when taxes are figured into the amount. Overall, I think they try to sell you based on where you live and if they think you can afford more, then they will stick it to you. They bid one room sized 14x17 for engineered wood for cost of wood and installation of over 4 grand, compared to two others that bid both around 2,200 and 2,400 in costs to install and materials. I would highly suggest you comparison shop when dealing with this business. From the old man, I heard you did not take into consideration sales tax and I also heard - prices are going up, especially shipping. I suggest you do the leg work and get several bids and just not do business with this group. Save yourself the time and money both.......

(1st picture) I understand Prices change, but If I knew the price was going to double and the service would significantly decline, I would have not trusted them to install 4 simple lighting fixtures in my media room. The company is very responsive initially but as soon as I tried to contact this company both via phone and email it was dead silence. I wanted my bill to be reviewed. The 4 lights in my media room could be a accessible by a foot stool, and the previous fixtures had already been removed because I recently got the room painted. All the electrician had to do was connect the wires. The contractor came during a work call and I admit I mistakingly confused the 8 on my bill for a 3. He arrive an hour early. Almost $900 to put a lighting fixture on the wall, and the technician didn't even put the crystals on the light. (2nd picture). The job was completed under an hour. It was my human error on the quote. But I still would have have been out of $80 if I declined the quote. I think this company should provide at least a starting price before the trip is made The one star is because the company wouldn't even give me the respect to call me back to discuss my bill, and deceiving business practices. I was totally ghosted.

Instead of cutting corners or making excuses, they stepped up and completely replaced the garage roof at no extra charge. That kind of accountability and customer care is rare these days. On top of that, they don't just do roofing they also handle wood framing and repairs. They worked on my patio as well, and the craftsmanship was excellent. His estimate was based mostly on labor and basic materials (he brought paint brushes, buckets and coverings). I supplied the paint and tape. The final paint-job was really good (clean lines, attention to detail around wood and moldings, even coats) and he worked all day to get it done. When he left the paint was drying so the tape was still up. We had to take tape down ourselves the next day, but not a big deal. Most importantly, he was gracious and kind throughout--even when we had to do some last minute cleaning up on high recesses. Given his rates and quality of work, he definitely earned the 5 stars. Ultimately, we decided together that the ceiling and the walls should all be repainted. Arrangements were made for Wilfredo and his team to come by around 6 the following evening to get started. When they were an hour late, I wasn't surprised. I know how traffic in DFW can be and I was eager to have their professional help. Upon arriving at my home, Wilfredo nor his team, who trickled in little by little over the next few hours, wore masks without our asking. Wilfredo gave me a laundry list of items his team would need to begin work, which I was to leave to get for him. He announced that he would go home and take a shower then return to begin the project. He returned and one of his team members blue-taped and put plastic over all my cabinets and paper over the floors in preparation for the repairs and painting that was to begin the next morning. The next day, I waited for a team member to arrive. When it got close to lunch time, I spoke with Wilfredo who told me that his team member wouldn't be able to come until that evening. Once he did arrive, he set to work repairing cracks and did a nice job only he didn't visit every room and repair every crack. He told me that he was leaving for dinner and would return but he did not come back. The following day, someone was to come and paint and I planned to ask for the forgotten cracks to be repaired. I was, again, told how the arranged team member wouldn't be by at the agreed upon time. We settled on the next day. By this point, I've had plastic and paper all over the place but I'm trying to be patient. The following day, Wilfredo again needed to cancel on the painting and my spouse and I decided that it was time to cut ties with this company and just finish the rest ourselves. When I told Wilfredo that we would not need any additional visits, he told me to "ask my husband for the final word" which truly pissed me off. I am the one who was making all the arrangements from start to finish with this company. For him to insinuate that I needed a man's permission to call off services was unprofessional and ignorant. He called and texted several more times to get me to reconsider. I'd have painted the entire interior of my home with a q-tip before I let him back through my doorway. Unprepared. Unprofessional. Unreliable.
