First, if you're having electric problems, I'm sorry to tell you this, but it's not going to be a…read morecheap fix. The best you can hope for is that it won't be a devastating cost. Electricians are far more technically skilled than most of the people who will come work on your house. Also, electricity is really dangerous, and there are a lot of overhead costs. So when the electricians flips you a $150 bill for 30 minutes (or whatever), he's probably not cheating you. This coming from someone who has worked on jobs with electricians AND hates spending money on this kind of stuff. Anyway, my AC went out last night, along with the power in about 1/4 of my house, and it's predicted to be 107 today. I spent five years doing residential remodeling, so I knew not to try to mess with electric myself outside of basic troubleshooting. So, I gathered as much information about the problem as I could, then called three electricians this morning. Shields was the only one who called back. He left another job and was at my house within an hour or two. I told him I was on a budget and had some DIY experience. There's really not a lot of corners to cut with electricity, but he was great. He walked through everything with me, explaining what went wrong, what to do if it happens again, etc. He fixed it, and my AC is back on...just as it's really heating up outside. Finally, as others have mentioned, Jeff is just a pleasant guy to be around. I'll definitely be calling him again if I have any more problems, or if I need any electric work done (I will). Note to other reviewers: the electricians that didn't call me back must be busy. Most residential electricians are independent contractors, meaning they don't have receptionists to tell you they don't have time for your job. It doesn't make sense to leave one star reviews, as a couple people have done for this company, and you are hurting family run businesses because of your inconvenience. If you feel a burning need to convey your experience, you might consider giving 3 stars, since you didn't actually talk to anyone, and it's unfortunate you gave one star to a good company. But really, you should leave messages for a few of them at the same time and hire the first one who is available (assuming you've already vetted all three).

Jess is SO easy and great to work with. He's extremely helpful and patient, and he actually cared about my home and helped me make educated decisions on where things should go/what might look good/etc. We had knob and tube wiring in our home that was originally built in 1905 and he re-wired the entire house, added outlets throughout the home, installed lots of canned lighting, fans, our doorbell and added outdoor outlets and boxes as needed. Everything was done with care and he did a fantastic job. Truly wish we could hire him for everything that needs to be done in our home. Seriously look no further and hire this man! Thank you for everything Jess, you're the best.

My friend and I together have owned two older mobile homes a while. Babying these gentrified…read moreladies has always been a chore, but recently we found ourselves at the end of the rope when we learned both homes were in serious need of urgent electrical repairs involving most aspects of the circuitry and also the power lines running between the park's pedestal and our panels. 50 years of cutting and patching wires had finally come to a head. Good electricians seem to be in short supply these days so finding a good one can be hard, but finding one with experience in the unique ends and outs of older mobile home wiring was turning out to be mission impossible. We had to find a good electrical firm who knew all the permits required and the agencies involved, and who could discern matters that are the park's concerns from those of owners and handle the ones belonging to both particularly when some involve the local utility company. It was a real mission. We are so happy to have found Four Ace Electrical Services. They have the know how and helped us to stage the complex work within our limited budget. They obtained the permits needed, worked with the park manager on the pedestal connection, and got the job done repairing our homes' circuits, establishing safe power connections, rewiring our antiquated panels, and safely reworking the A/C connection. For the first time in so many years we are no longer guessing and feel safe in our homes from electrical worries. All thanks to the diligent team in Four Ace Electrical Services! They are heros to us little ole ladies! We highly recommend them to mobile home owners without hesitation.

That job took 2 guys 1/2 day including crawling in the crawlspace attic and the price was in the $700s as I remember. I was very impressed with the work, crew and price. I had a backyard dusk to dawn light that needed replaced. I provided the $50 light and called Rick again. He could do the job the next day, but advised me his fee just to come out and look had increased from $99, to $149 because of gas and inflation. That fee is NOT waived even if you hire them. When the worker came out, he gave a quote of $474 including the $149. That's an additional $325 to swap an old light for a new light I provided. I went ahead and did it even though it was ridiculous just because they get you that way knowing you're already out the $149 if you still go find someone else. The worker was done within 30 minutes. Thirty minutes for close to $500 for one guy. Even with inflation, that's an insane increase in a handful of months for less difficult work, less time and only 1 electrician. Rick contacted me the following night to ask if I was satisfied. I told him the work was fine but I was very dissatisfied with the price. Never heard back from him. Would not recommend.

The cut into the…read morewall without contacting the landlord to make sure this was ok, even though I told one of the workers directly not just once but twice, "call the landlord". When the wall was cut, the way they patched it up was totally unsafe and well for lack of better words, half-ass in my humble opinion , but please, see picture and let me know what you think, especially if this was your child's room. My landlord was very upset as this was my son's room specifically. Fortunately they were coming back because, I had just called them to let them know, whatever they did, caused a whole different issue - my kitchen, garage, and whole side of the house was now surging out. They came back, I give them another credit for getting back within an hour. They properly covered the hole they made, (again see pictures for reference). Why it wasn't done like that initially is beyond me. I would hope one would understand if there wasn't a whole in the wall when you arrived, there certainly shouldn't be one after the job you supposedly completed. To fix the new issue that was created by them fixing the original issue, that they didn't realize they did until I called them about it, they needed attic access. This is thru my spare bedroom. Hold that thought, for now... So... They fixed the new issue I was told, they were packing up to leave, I went to my son's room to flip on his light (which was the original issue and main reason for the call initially) and low and behold, the light doesn't come on. I wish I WAS MAKING JOKES. There were 3-4 guys at a time working on this project, you think a quick check before ya go ‍ ...guess not. I was told because of the switch out with the lighting fixture as well, now, they didn't have the right bulb, so they would be back in the morning with that. They came early again and it worked. Now back to the attic access in my spare room. It's thru the closet. I had a painting in there rolled up. I just bought it. Stored it in there until I was going to get it framed. Purchased 9/30- I noticed it was not there afterwards. It's my spare room, my mom stays there, no one else. When I called to see if Lisa could ask the guys to check the truck or just ask to see if they accidentally may have grabbed it, just when cleaning up after working there, she immediately said, Kevin didn't take it. Going on about him working there 35 years... etc. I said, Lisa, I didn't even say I thought Kevin took it, I sadly don't remember any of the guys name,- first off. So I repeated, I am calling, and I wanted to explain to you just so you can pass it on to the guys, as I am sure they work at many homes- just to "paint the picture" so to speak, of the house, the situation...they had to access my attic thru the closest, by chance during clean-up was there a painting, rolled up like a poster- mistakenly grabbed. Lisa still seemed pretty agitated at my call and just plainly said she would call me back the next day. She did, and her message started the same way, Kevin is a 35 yr employee, I trust him and he didn't take anything from your attic- I was just hoping she would have said, hey I had the guys check the trucks, I asked, we looked and you know, there is no painting. Never did I say it was in the attic, my attic isn't a storage attic to begin with and she was just going on about Kevin. That's great about Kevin! Go Kevin! I love you Kevin, thanks for coming back and getting the job done! Anyway I called my landlord today to confirm if they ever called or even apologized for cutting into the wall, she said no. I wanted her to understand incase they told her otherwise that it was clearly communicated to call her by me, and I was just as mystified it didn't happen. Let me be clear, it wasn't Kevin I told it too- we know Kevin is just about perfect. just want to make sure we are clear on that. I think Kevin maybe the owner. Look- the work got done, was it perfect no, not at first. I have this pig painting from NY I bought myself, from. vendor in Central Park, I am not a fancy art collector here, let me make that clear... I spent $80 buck on it. I am not sweating over it, I can go back and get another- I was just truly curious if It was mistakenly grabbed. I just wish Lisa would have picked up on that- but you know what, I love knowing how much she stand by and adores Kevin! Very devoted! Love it. If it was up to me, I think I would call a different company for my home, plus they hardly answer their phone too. Good luck whatever you decide.
