Don't be fooled, when I first tried to make an appointment, I was concerned. They asked to primarily communicate through text, asked for a lot of insurance info, etc. Since starting sessions with them, I have caught on that they likely prefer texting due to their confidence English. They very much wanted to see if my insurance would cover the treatment. When it didn't, they didn't even charge me the difference, they were very kind and just asked I pay the $15-$20 difference going forward. Now the service: First if all, I am completely convinced Park's Acupuncture prolonged my gallbladder for another year and a half. I originally went in for severe upper back pain (a common symptom for needing your gallbladder removed). Like so bad I couldn't sleep at night and wanted to throw up. They noted that it could be gut health and/or due to my jaw clenching (which yes, I do). They did a combo of cupping therapy and acupuncture. They were wonderful about starting me off at 2 times a week, then informing me I could go down to 1, to suggesting every other week, to flat out letting me know that I could simply call them if I started getting pain again. So I went for about 2 months before feeling completely better! I know people are put off by their initial interactions, but seriously, it was so worth it! read more

I recommend this practice at the highest possible level. Anyone with a stubborn health issue should at least give Park's Acupuncture a chance. Terrible customer service, and unwilling to help if paying with insurance. I stopped over at Park's acupuncture to make a new patient appointment, and the acupuncturist at the desk told me that if I was paying with insurance they could not provide me with service, and that I had to pay out of pocket. The acupuncturist at the desk was very rude, and quite insensitive, which seems really strange for a medical related service where compassion is important. Meanwhile, they are listed on my insurance as being in network. Based on this terrible treatment and lack of customer service, I will not be going back to Park's Acupuncture. read more

I started going to this practice, after I had a bad experience with a different Acupunturist in the Tri-Valley. I was new to Acupunture and unaware of the benefits of Acupunture. I went to Park's Acupuncture for about a month and my issues initially were my ankles, knees and upper back. During that duration of a month I also played lacrosse and have had a history of weak ankles. With Park's Acupuncture, we were able to find out what the causes of my frequent ankle soreness were and my knees and shins began to become less tender over time. I did have to do some maintenance and massaging routine on my own, but they were from videos of how to stretch my legs by courtesy of Dr. Park. I am so relieved that I found Park's Acupuncture. I wanted to see an acupuncturist with my neck and shoulder pain that has been bothering me for quite some time. I got a list of acupuncture providers that my insurance accepts and I had a difficult time finding a provider that I feel comfortable and trust. Drs. Park are both incredible acupuncturists and human beings. This has been my first experience with acupuncture, and I could not be more grateful for their care and attention to my health issues. I have never had a medical team be so attentive to my entire health history. After 30 years of chronic migraine, my headaches have reduced to only one or two a month, which is absolutely amazing (I used to have six to ten days of migraine pain every month). I have been going to Park's Acupuncture for assistance in lessening pain after spinal fusion surgery. They are on my health plan. I was really pleased that at the first assessment that they explained the scope of what could be done and also not addressed. They are very knowledgeable about healing practices and have used acupuncture, acupressure, cupping and other modalities to treat my pain. They check in all the time about how comfortable I am with what they are doing, and I feel like a partner in this. Watch out for this office! We have insurance and they would not see my daughter with some back pain and headaches. That is what I thought acupuncture was for, pain. The insurance company said they were in-network doctor and visits are covered. But it was clear Park Acupuncture wanted to go around the insurance and charge full price. Which begs the question: why did they sign up with insurance companies to be an in-network provider when they never intended to honor it? I guess they will do anything to get patients. I have had hardened and irritated skin on my left thigh for almost 10 years. I have tried using hydrocortisone cream as suggested by others but it only helped temporarily. Out of ideas, I decided to try acupuncture. I was skeptical at first, but after my first treatment with Dr. Park, my skin already felt softer and less irritated. After several more treatments, the hardening and irritation went away completely and I have not had to use any skin cream since. I had never had acupuncture before so to be honest i was somewhat sceptical. I'm a martial artist who works out about 2 to 3 times a week and as you can imagine it causes some wear and tear on the body. My shoulder muscle started getting really tight and nothing would help; not massage or icy hot nothing. I was getting headaches from how tight it was. I decided to try acupuncture. Mrs. Park was very nice and she explained everything that she was going to do. I received both acupuncture and cupping on my back and within about 2-3 days my back started loosening up.
