Good food. Nothing special. Very nice people. Prices were decent. I would return but wouldn't go out of my way to go back.

Unfortunately, there was a strong cold draft at floor level, leaving our feet uncomfortably cold throughout the meal. The hostess was sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food service was unremarkable. Our waiter was not particularly friendly nor personable. The drinks were a weak start. The red sangria was poor. The bourbon cocktail was an odd mix of bourbon, apple cider, and other elements--an awkward, Frankenstein-style whiskey sour that simply didn't work. Worst of all, both drinks were served in thin plastic cups, which immediately cheapened the entire experience. I ordered the falafel sandwich and specifically requested a toasted bun. It arrived not just room temperature, but cold. I sent it back, and it returned burning hot... the bottom soggy... literally too hot to pick up... with no browning or color change, clearly microwaved. Microwaving is not toasting. At that point, the sandwich was inedible. I removed the bun entirely and ate just the falafel, which was dry and largely tasteless. At this point I knew coming back to this restaurant was a mistake. Food timing was another issue. The dishes took roughly 45 minutes to arrive after the drinks, possibly longer. We were all getting annoyed and what started out well when we first walked in turned negative. I wasn't impressed on my first visit years ago... and this second visit confirmed it. Between the poor drinks, cheap plastic cups, ridiculously long wait (with no explanation nor apology), and careless food execution, there's no reason to return.

I haven't been here in close to a decade, so I was way overdo for a Wert's cheeseburger. The burger is stuffed with mushrooms and onions, and then topped with Velveeta cheese. It's absolutely amazing! There was so much flavor to the burger, I didn't need to add any sauce. My buddy ordered Nikki's bacon bleu cheeseburger. The broiled burger is topped with bacon, bleu cheese dressing, lettuce, and tomato. He said it was one of the best burgers he ever had. We also ordered a crock of French onion soup and split the famous fries. The fries are topped with Cajun seasoning, crab meat, and homemade cheese sauce. Good, but nothing to write home about. I never had the chance to try it before the place closed down permanently. :( Not too far back I heard a rumor the previous owners were thinking of re-opening the cheesesteak part of the business at the Allentown Fairgrounds. And lo and behold - it eventually appeared there. Take out or sit down there to enjoy your cheesesteak! It's really very good, nice sized as well and for ten bucks I had no complaints, There's just one tiny problem. It's called Sewards Steak Shop! Sewards is the only steak shop serving steaks with ZERO filler/chemical ingredients besides steak on the ingredient list. And you can easily taste the difference. I'll always go to Sewards when I'm craving a cheesesteak! Oops - another tiny issue: Sewards is for sale. The original owner's son, (Dave), who's been running the place forever is retiring. It's been a family-owned business since the 50"s I heard. Until the day comes, I can no longer get a Sewards cheesesteak - I'd surely go back to, The Brass Rail. Both are close to home!

They walked us through how the night would go, and everything felt super organized. For appetizers, we had mac and cheese and bruschetta -- both solid choices. The mac and cheese was simple but tasty, and the bruschetta was fresh and flavorful. For entrées, we went with the salmon (roasted potatoes & string beans) and the filet mignon (same sides). The salmon was a little overcooked, and I do wish we could have picked our own sides, but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Everything was still good. Dessert was hands down the highlight. The apple crisp and brownie sundae were amazing. And then the show... wow. The acting, the singing, the dancing; all fantastic. They absolutely crushed Footloose! With its airy outside patio and spacious interior, we loved the vibe. We were warmly greeted by our server Paige and were seated. Our spicy margaritas had just the right amount of kick! It was so savory and satisfying. The Honey could not stop saying how good the chili was!! I was lucky enough to get a spoonful (or two) before it was all gone! You will not go wrong with either one of these dishes. Paige was nice enough to answer my questions about the Brunch menu and history of the restaurant. We started with tender, well-seasoned beef skewers, crispy buffalo wings over blue cheese, and perfectly cooked roasted cauliflower paired with a tasty tzatziki sauce and pickled onion. For my entree, I ordered the maple-glazed short rib. It was incredibly tender, practically melting in my mouth, and came with creamy sweet potato puree and roasted shallots. My friend ordered the rich, deeply flavorful bolognese. Although she received the small plate portion rather than the entree, it wasn't a major issue as we had more than enough food.
