Red Rose Transit Authority - My custom-made shopping trolley. Very compact, and it takes up minimal space, on the bus.

So, right after the driver made his left turn at the intersection of Belmont Plaza & Fruitville Pike, he announced that the bus was over-heating, and he was going to have to swap busses. Everything went well, and things were to get a bit more interesting. As we pulled into the bus garage on Eric Rd., the outer security gate opened, and as we made our left hand turn in front of the garage, I noticed a brand new bus of a different model, sitting on the side, at the northern-most part of the apron. It was the latest model of Gillig bus, which the RRTA company was testing out. It was just sitting there, so I decided to snap a photo of it. This bus's new number is: '2101'. The numbers of the latest batch of busses which RRTA has acquired, ranges from 1900 - 1911. A few of the main differences between this latest new model bus, is that the front of the bus isn't quite as elongated as the 1900 series, & is much more flat, which I like. I just think it looks a bit better. The second difference of the design is that there is an extended aerodynamic fairing for the batter packs on both sides of the top of the bus, which now, instead of only extending to the top middle of the bus, now extends all the way forward to the very top of the nose of the roof of it. I also agree with the way the new design looks. It doesn't look as much as a dopey design, as the present design of the 1900 series. Koolness! I cannot wait to go for a ride on the new 1000 series! Hey RRTA: Get more of em' in!

    SEPTA: Paoli Station

This station is simple and does the job. Trains come and get you…read more I highly suggest you get there at least 30 minutes before your train arrives. You will have to walk up two flights of stairs or take an elevator to get to the train tracks. From there you will take a different set of stairs or elevator to get you to the track. But, if you follow the guidelines on when to arrive, you should have no problem and should be on time. One thing about this station is that there is not a real good area to protect you from the elements. There is one enclosed area that has 2-3 heating elements but, the entrance and exit to the area is open so if it is windy it will not protect you from that. There is minimal seating available. It just is not a bells and whistle type of station. But, it does what it needs to do. It is fairly clean, and there is enough parking available. It is easy to get to and a great station for those around who want to avoid taking their car into Philly to catch a train.

I went to drop off my girlfriend at the Paoli station today. What an awful experience…read more The train was pulling in but we could not get on the train as used to be the case. It is now required that you go up two flights and over the tracks and around and down to a narrow platform in the middle of the tracks. As a result we missed her train for which we had arrived in plenty of time to get. The old station was great, the new one is awful. I researched the cost of this new ugly station and was surprised to find that it cost $48 Million! (sombody made some money on that one) I would be really annoyed if I were a disabled person or in a wheel chair having to navigate that 3D maze. The old station made sense and was far better. I will never get on or off at this stop again.

I DO NOT recommend Omega Transportation Services…read more Terrible service! They offer door to door service, which is NOT true. VERY MISLEADING!! We made reservations on Saturday for a pickup on Tuesday. I asked for prices and if we needed to travel with a personal booster seat for our daughter. The lady told me $35 for an adult and $25 for a child. They reach Lititz, PA and the driver asks for everyone's money while pumping gas. ISSUE 1) My fiancé gives him the $60 and the driver proceeds to tell him its $65. He also asked for everyone's destination address. My fiancé gave the driver the address for their destination. Three times he asked and my fiancé told him Queens, NY. He never mentioned they don't travel to Queens, until they reach NY. ISSUE 2) Once in NY the driver stops in Manhattan and tell my fiancé he must get out and take a taxi the rest of the way. The driver then tells him they only travel to Brooklyn, Bronx, and Manhattan. Why not mention this when he gave you the address and told him three different times their destination was in Queens, NY. They made them get into another van with another gentlemen who works for them and charged an additional $50. Now had my fiancé not had the funds to do this, he would have been stranded with our 5 year old in Manhattan! I DO NOT recommend them to anyone. They're a bunch of money hungry, inconsiderate LIARS. Taking advantage of people! I gave them 1 star because they arrived safe. Other than that, their service is terrible!
