We were just making a quick stop to use the rest rooms, but what a nice airport! We flew in and hopped out of the plane into the FPO where we were greeted by a staff member asking if we needed anything. Having never been there, I wandered a bit to check out the site. It was nicely appointed and super clean. We'll be making plans for an extended visit soon!

Great food, standard burger very good

There are tons of skylights, and it didn't feel cramped anywhere, even on a Sunday. I would give it 5 stars, but there were a few annoyances. There are still very few outlets, but it seems like there are more this time around, post-renovation. I still wish more gate seats had them - it seems like 10-20% of them do, at most. It is also strange that, throughout the entire A concourse, there is nowhere to buy magazines or books. I was in the mood for some light, overpriced reading material, and it was surprising that the entire concourse had zero options for this! There was a novelty sock store but no WH Smith or similar spot? Very odd!

The terminal is bright, well maintained, and easy to navigate, with plenty of seating and a relaxed atmosphere. I especially appreciated that the airport even has a dedicated pet relief area, which is a thoughtful feature for travelers flying with animals. Little details like that really make a difference. BWI was my hometown airport for many years, and it's been wonderful to watch it grow and modernize over time. Each visit reminds me how much it has improved while still being one of the easiest airports to use. Overall, it's one of the more pleasant U.S. airports I've traveled through, and I wouldn't hesitate to fly through here again.

BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport - You don't often get this view when connecting at this Southwest hub. This is the "spine" with the swoopy roofs, including food concessions.

If you're going to Philadelphia, you…read morewill most likely use this airport, and even a million 1-star reviews wouldn't change that. I really enjoy this airport. I can't speak for every terminal, but I've visited for Southwest and more recently the American Airlines Terminal B. It was DENSE with shops and food. Clean, nice. Really helpful, friendly staff at the information booth and shops that I visited. I like the way you move around here. Arrivals up top, departures at the bottom, and then departure ground transportation divided between the an inner and outer ring for the various shuttles and bus services. (I had to ask to figure out where to stand, but I liked the layout once I got it.) And the SEPTA comes right up to the terminal. I've gone in and out of here a variety of ways and have been impressed in my experience with the ease for such a large airport. And yeah, plenty of places to eat and shop once you get inside.

Most people are in long sleeves, sweaters, and jackets. I've even seen a couple of folks without them rubbing their arms to generate warmth. I wondered if it was a fluke, and did a quick Google search where I found similar complaints. Then passing by a woman (in a jacket) she said to me (unsolicited) "it's so cold here." Funny enough I was filling my water bottle and guess what? The water was warm!!!! Anyway if you're leaving from, or have a layover at this airport, particularly in warmer months, BE PREPARED!!!

TNT Air loves aviation…read more Tom and Angie Noetzel are the owners of TNT Air. Tom is a very accomplished pilot and excellent instructor. Angie is everyone's mom. She just takes great care of you and has a wonderful sense of humor. I started going to TNT Air a few years ago after deciding to get my instrument rating. Tom was my instructor over the next year or so. I am a better pilot today because of Tom. He is calculated in his thinking and precise in his skills both as a pilot and teacher. What I love most about Tom is his passion for flying and dedication to proper procedure. He is a mild mannered individual, unassuming and completely approachable. Assets that serve him well. Tom is calm in the face of any adverse condition. Relying on his training and capability, Tom quickly corrects the mistakes his students make. As a corporate pilot, I know this same skill to control stress has personally served him, his crew/passengers and the aircraft well. Lastly, Tom remains a student of the profession. He trains and studies more than any pilot I know. While this may not be rare, as we pilots are always training, Tom takes it to a level few would attempt. Tom and Angie have created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. I would very often just go there to hang out and participate in the daily "hangar" talk. It's the kind of place that just invites you to learn and share. The students, friends and family that frequent the airport would all agree that it has become a bit of a second home for many of us. If you are looking for a place to train, get your license or achieve the next level personally or professionally, TNT Air is your place. If you need fuel or just want a great place to stop at on your journey, TNT Air is your place. If you want to hang out with people who love aviation and will welcome you into the conversation, TNT Air is your place. By the way, I did pass my IFR and started working on my commercial rating. I now own a plane and I keep it here at Pottstown Muni (N47) under the care of Tom and Angie. That's how much I love this place and its owners.

Like Elvis Costello, it's time to pump it up with this one…read more Having just finished a Magical Mystery Tour of connections across the country and back through multiple airports, I have to testify that hands down, ABE has all of them beat for ease and simplicity. I mean for full disclosure, ABE is not ORD or SFO or LAX in terms of size, but that's also its advantage. Admittedly, did it cost more to fly from here versus PHL/EWR/BWI? Without question but at the same time, the security here was faster than fast with no one in line and on the back end, it was maybe 12 minutes from deplane to checked bag in hand. Where the hell else can you do that? I don't care about parking because Uber & Lyft are very prevalent and there is a separate waiting area for all of that on the second floor by departures. Probably about a three minute wait on that one. Sure, a few bucks could have been saved by going somewhere larger with more service but this place is simply too easy and simple not to use. As long as there isn't a significant pricing difference compared to larger airports, this is where you want to fly from.

Why when I travel, I try to leave out of Lehigh Valley International Airport. I've flown out of here a few times, and even though I've had some frustrating delays due to weather or crew issues, I still enjoy flying out of Lehigh Valley International Airport. Since it's not a huge airport, Lehigh Valley International Airport only has a few airlines, so unless you're specifically looking for a certain airline, you might want to consider Mama Joe City Terminal instead. However, they do offer flights with some major airlines, like Delta and American Airlines, as of the time of this review. There aren't many gates which is good, as I appreciate the straightforward approach to getting to your gate. I often fly with American Airlines, so it's a good choice because I use it to connect to buses (yes, they have buses too) to flights to major airports. One nice thing about taking the bus from the airport is that you don't have to go through security again at the connecting airport. There aren't as many food options as you might find at other airports, but there are enough if you need food or a drink. They also have other amenities for travelers with specific needs. If you're bringing your dog, they have a pet relief area. If you have kids, they can go to the play area and burn off some extra energy from sitting on or barding the flight. If you're a nervous flyer, there's a sensory room to help you calm down and focus before your flight. I also like the different book nooks around the airport where you can take or leave a book for free. Unless I'm fly at the right time, I don't seem to wait around long. I usually give myself about 2 hours to get to my gate, but I've sometimes arrived at the gate five minutes after I get arrived at the airport. I've have however almost missed my connecting flight because of weather or crew and gate issues flying out of here. One time, my return flight had to wait 30-35 minutes on the runway, because the only open gate had a plane disembarking, and we had to wait for them to move the plane and dock. There were other gates open, but not enough staff was working and was frustrating to wait. I generally enjoy flying out of this airport. It's not a huge hub, and delays can sometimes eat into your time for connecting flights, but it's usually a good and dependable option for getting to your destination.
