[986] 9/2019 We choose this camping resort since it's owned by Hershey Park. Hershey offers a free shuttle to/from the park. Definitely a perk that had us visit this camp ground. All the sites in our loop had pull through which was good especially since there were a ton of big boys. The sites are tight so I was listening to our rude neighbor blast the music for 2 hours straight. It drowned our music out so bad that I didn't even realize our music was on when we went to bed. The neighbors that had a pop out must have heard it until 4am (when I realized it was on). The store is nice and big and nicely stocked. There is no place to eat in the resort so we ordered pizza. The staff was nice enough to share the menu. The pool was close and there were no activities for the kids since summer was over. My kid rode his bike when we were not at the park. Easy check in with plenty of staff. Nice game room. Wish they had an indoor waterpark like the lodge or gave us access as there was nothing to do in the fall if you stayed on site. I will definitely be back.

    1. All of the staff where great to 2.close to Hershey park 3. Their convenient store had a lot of items for sale to save your self a trip to walmart. 4. A couple of playgrounds and a pool 5.all of the campers where nice my kids had fun playing with other kids 6. We had the extended cabin number 10. It had enough room for 8 people. 7. The bathroom where spot less and always kept clean. Cons Cabin was dark inside only 2 lights inside Train running along the side of the camp seem to run all night long Cabins seem to be really close. No privacy. Maybe some bushes or trees in between cabins My suggestion is to add a bench near the bathroom by cabin 10 so you can sit while waiting for family members

Tight squeeze. You can almost hear the people in the camper next to you breathing.

What to say about HersheyPark Camping Resort.... I'll just break it down into good and bad. First the good: - Location, location, location! - Shuttle to the park - Lots to do in the camp - pool, games, arcade - Great camp store - All kinds of other things to do in the area All the good was outweighed by the bad, though, in my mind: - The spots are really, really, really close together. This is the tightest campground I've ever been to. The spots are so close together that you may literally have people from the next campsite over sitting (and loudly talking) right outside your window. It's clear to me that the goal of this campground is to pack as many people in as possible. That's ok if you're going to spend a lot of time at the park. If you want to get away from it all, and relax a little, this may not be the best bet.

Great location to go to the park and the experience. We stayed in the Carrousel area and the fit was tight. We were in a middle row. The trailer in front of us had pulled in towards our site so we had no ability to use the small area. We will choose another site. We needed 30 feet of sewer line just so others are aware. We have a 50 foot hose for water. We could not set up the cable tv which was probably related to our RV. 25 feet of electric cord did the trick. Campground was very clean including bathrooms. Trash pick up each am, just leave it out. COVID precautions were good. Store contained camping supplies, gifts and sundries. WiFi was ok, we were removed every 30 minutes. Need to then rejoin. Overall, will stay again

Hershey Campground is Terrible! Don't come here, they don't give you space for your tow vehicle so everyone has to park in another site or half in the roadway which makes it hard to get by with your camper. If the neighbors have a campfire they will catch your trailer on fire. The sewer hookups are 10 feet from the electrical pole; therefore when trying to pull into your site you have to try and not hit them. The sites are so bad that our front end is almost touching the ground. Glad I'm only staying 1 night.

Our trip was great staying at the campground. Having the on-site bus to take us in every day was perfect, and getting an extra early access preview hour helped as well. The cabin we had was clean and comfortable. The store is well stocked and you can get anything you need.

Loved it here. The kids could run all over the place with a worry. The staff is very fun, friendly and help. The camp store has everything you need priced reasonably. We stayed an extra day because we were enjoying it so much.

Great site! Just bring extra blocks in case your site is sloped.

My family camped here for 4 days in August. We had a great time! The campground was in close proximity to Hersheypark. The shuttle ran about every 20 minutes. The drivers were entertaining. The office staff was polite, informative, and welcoming. The campground was well kept and clean. Two suggestions. Be sure to pack enough leveling blocks or extra wood blocks in case your site is uneven. Ours was on a crazy slope in the front of the site but the back was in front of the playful so there was a level grassy area to gather at. If your site is close to the playground area, you are near the train tracks. Although the train didn't bother my family, it rumbled down the tracks day and night. Lastly, if you like to fish the creek was a little difficult for smaller children to get to. There is no designated fishing area just some clearings between campsites. Buson did catch 2 fish.

Great location to the Hershey Theme Parks and Downtown Hershey. The staff was friendly and helpful. Campsite trash pick up daily. Good size pool with a decent changing/shower room. They do have a shuttle stop, but it was not running due to COVID. We also noticed they had a propane refill station. There are some nice spacious sites, but the particular site we were in was a tight site with neighbors within arms length. Not all sites are level, you might need extra leveling blocks for your gravel site. Not too many channels on their cable hook up. Every site had a fire pit for those who fancy Hershey S'mores. Overall we had a good experience with them, and recommend their facilities.

We came here twice in the matter of one month! We stay in their cabins. The one bedroom cabin is nice for us a little too small. The second time we went we got the deluxe cabin and it has two bedrooms one with bunks and one with a large bed. There is a little kitchen along with a little sitting area and tv. The parking is great and it's right outside your cabin. You have your own porch, fire pit, and picnic table. You bring your own everything!!! Only one little complaint, the shower is VERY small and water leaks out of it a lot! The bathroom is also small.

I'm still keeping my 5 star review…read more We used to come here as a kid. My mom got us the family card member in Christmas of 2019, but we all know what happened in 2020. We rented out the cabin with a loft. It was doable. Obviously, we are camping, so don't expect a pristine cabin. But it was fairly clean. I would only suggest that they include a vacuum cleaner so we can vacuum the upstairs loft one more time. They say not to put the A.C below 72. We went in a very muggy, hot time in PA. So we kept the windows closed to keep temperature down. Wifi is not included. You have to pay for it. Service with tmobile is spotty. T.v also only has local channels. Perhaps bring your firestick. Hey look, at the end of the day, we were either at Hershey Park, or at the pool at the campground, so it didn't really matter. Don't forget to bring fishing pole too. Lots of big fish in the lake there The cabin came with firepit, which also served as a grill. I suggest taking a ride to lancaster market, or visiting any of the produce/meat farms with a sign and using that grill. Corn and vegetables and meat were phenomenal. You are in farmers country. For breakfast? Easy. Check out a local breakfast place called the filling Station. My review sticks on that place from two years ago. To the owners, a few things that stuck out for us that may make the experience better for others: 1) a little more activities for the kid. I know.COVID really.screwed things up, but you did a slip and slide last time and it was great. Maybe have a pool game for the kids too. 2) restrooms seem to need updating. Light is dim. 3) maybe have a campground BBQ on weekends. 4) maybe not enough rentals, but bike rentals could be great. Can't wait to go back.

Update: I spoke with the campground, which has indicated the issue will be addressed and made…read moreright. We'll be returning at Halloween, and I will update my review at that time. Hopeful we can get back to the wonderful experience we had in the past. for now I am provisionally changing my review to a 3 star review to reflect mixed experiences (excellent in the past, issue this time) and hope to put it back to 5 stars at Halloween. We have been coming here for four years, twice per year. What was once a fun family activity has now been affected by ridiculous price gouging. On top of paying a premium to camp, plus an activity fee, almost every activity now has an extra charge. After paying for breakfast with the bears, and a pizza party with the bears (with substandard pizza), we tried to bring our children to the afternoon activity, which was described as a fairytale forest activity. The activity consisted of a: 1. Cones you throw a ring around 2. Cups you throw a ball into 3. Ax throwing 4. A bow and arrow to shoot Our children wanted to throw the balls into the cup and we were told we would need to pay $1 PER TICKET, PER GAME in order for our children to do that. The only other activities so far today were the staff throwing a basketball on the basketball courts, tye die (extra charge) and the pizza party (charge), breakfast (charge), and cartoons and coloring. It is ridiculous to pay an activity fee and then be charged an extra $1 PER GAME to do even this BASIC activity. If you want affordable family fun for your children and you don't want to be price-gouged, steer clear. We are now reconsidering whether the twice yearly trips we would ordinarily take with our children should be moved to another campground where they actually provide activities for the activity fee you pay without trying to nickel and dime you at every step.
