Yes, it is quite hilly throughout the campground, but the individual sites are very level to park the camper with almost no blocks needed. We had two sites this trip with water and electric, but they do have quite a few full hook-up sites. Overall the sites were large, with trees between, providing additional privacy. Except for the Plateau sites, which have the amazing view, the rest of the campground had a great tree cover! Too often private campgrounds attempt to squeeze as many sites as possible and end up with campers on top of their neighbors, but at Starlight, the sites felt very secluded. Water pressure and electric were both great throughout the stay. There is no internet, but we had good cell phone service. The employees in the camp store are amazing and go out of their way to make you feel welcome! I felt everyone went above and beyond to help me from the reservation process through check-in. The camp store is well stocked and also serves hand-dipped ice cream. Starlight is a nice campground to relax or explore central Pennsylvania.

Sorry no tents but well worth the stay. Swimming pool is salt water. The campsites are clean and kept. The staff is friendly and kind. The store is nicely kept and the treats are priced for the kiddos. This is a children's friendly campsite no need to spend my traveling far it's here. Now we drove from VA and we were surprised because we lived in Downingtown and never knew how nice the place is. They offer activities and there is a game room and activities center. Whether you're local or out of town getting acres campgrounds is a place to bring your family or just to come and relax.

The campground has a huge bathhouse with plenty of showers. I happened to use one right after it had been cleaned on Monday morning, and it was spotless. There's also a nice pool, an 18-hole mini golf course, and a dog park, so there are plenty of amenities to enjoy. The water pressure wasn't the strongest, but the water was clean, which is what matters most. There's an Amish farm next door, so depending on the wind, you may notice the smell of livestock. We never did during our stay, but it's something to be aware of. For groceries, there's a Giant food store 9 mins away and the Walmart in Palmyra is about 18 minutes away. While you're there, you'll also find a Weis Markets, several restaurants, pizza shops, a liquor store, and a Sheetz. You could also head into Harrisburg, but we preferred the more relaxed, rural feel of Palmyra. If you enjoy craft beer, don't miss Troegs Brewing. The beer was phenomenal, the giant pretzel was excellent, and the grilled cheese was absolutely delicious. Hershey Bistro is also just under 2 miles from the campground and is on our list to try next time. Some people mention highway noise from motorcycles and trucks, but the campground is close to Route 283, so that's to be expected. It wasn't a surprise to us. Overall, we had a great stay. The friendly staff, clean facilities, and amenities outweighed the few minor drawbacks, and we'd definitely consider staying here again.

I could have traveled around for another hour and not been bored. Bring cash for two reasons - 1) If the roadside stand is open, he will stop. The farm's children have cookies, lemonade, painted horseshoes, and hand-made keychains. The cookies were out of this world - I can't even describe how satisfying the taste and texture were. 2) To tip your driver - John definitely deserved it. There is a parking lot, keep your eye peeled because you might miss it, depending on which way you are approaching. My daughter and I walked to lunch afterwards. It's a lovely home that has been extended to add the B&B with Dane and Audrey taking great care in using antique tools so the build could resemble the original architecture and detailing. Located on several acres of rolling green land property has been in the family for 6 generations. The rooms are cozy country style with Queen size beds only no bathtubs but all with their own private bathrooms. Not a place for small children or rowdy groups/persons. No TV no radio no noise just nature and the creaking planks. The breakfasts were spectacular as much as possible is farm to table nothing is wasted. Absolutely lovely and recommended. The house is old and creaks a bit. There is a nice porch to sit on outside to enjoy some morning coffee or tea, or to unwind after exploring during the day. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy the serenity of the countryside, this place is for you. If you're looking to be close to town, or near some food establishment, stay closer to town.
