The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made for a great first impression. All of the campsites are crushed stone, and ours wasn't perfectly level, so be prepared to do a little extra leveling when you set up. The campground has a huge bathhouse with plenty of showers. I happened to use one right after it had been cleaned on Monday morning, and it was spotless. There's also a nice pool, an 18-hole mini golf course, and a dog park, so there are plenty of amenities to enjoy. The water pressure wasn't the strongest, but the water was clean, which is what matters most. There's an Amish farm next door, so depending on the wind, you may notice the smell of livestock. We never did during our stay, but it's something to be aware of. For groceries, there's a Giant food store 9 mins away and the Walmart in Palmyra is about 18 minutes away. While you're there, you'll also find a Weis Markets, several restaurants, pizza shops, a liquor store, and a Sheetz. You could also head into Harrisburg, but we preferred the more relaxed, rural feel of Palmyra. If you enjoy craft beer, don't miss Troegs Brewing. The beer was phenomenal, the giant pretzel was excellent, and the grilled cheese was absolutely delicious. Hershey Bistro is also just under 2 miles from the campground and is on our list to try next time. Some people mention highway noise from motorcycles and trucks, but the campground is close to Route 283, so that's to be expected. It wasn't a surprise to us. Overall, we had a great stay. The friendly staff, clean facilities, and amenities outweighed the few minor drawbacks, and we'd definitely consider staying here again. read more

Was shocked at the price! For what you get it's just not worth the price. Don't get me wrong the staff was pleasant and it's clean but the camp spots are tight. With a military discount for two days it was $230. I am use to KOA at about $80 a night. The campground was deserted. In the area I stayed there were only a couple other coaches in town for the Hershey car show. Don't waste your money there are other comparable campgrounds for less money read more

Calling me claiming I'm on a waitlist and when I tried to explain that I wasn't supposed to be on a waitlist and that I'd called previously with an inquiry, the lady gets snappy with me. Laughing at me and telling me "well you obviously talked to someone because we have your info" Smh. You have my info, because I called asking about TENT sites. So why I was put on a waitlist for a seasonal RV site is beyond me, but it was clearly employee error. Which means the sparky little attitude she had, was wildly misplaced. Just can't admit you were wrong or what? It could have been solved with a simple "oh I'm sorry, there must have been a mistake" but instead, she decided to be rude and imply that I was lying to her. I definitely learned where I won't be camping. This was all over an inquiry. I can't imagine staying there and God forbid an issue arise where you need her help. Yikes read more

Cute campground near Hershey. Much cheaper route than hotel staying which I have previously done. $600 for 5 nights in a cabin compared to $400 per night hotel. Our cabin was small, full size bed and 2 bunk beds. Small fridge, microwave and no running water...say what?! There's a decent size bath house right next door. Plenty of showers and toilets with updated, modern fixtures. Connecting to the bath house is a mini arcade. The property has a very nice pool and mini splash pad. Comfortable, modern lounge chairs. General store with everything you'd need for your camping experience. read more

My husband and I full time RV and so we have been to a lot of parks. This was a very nice park close to Hershey park. The bathrooms are clean and well kept up. We were here on a weekend and there was activities going on. Dj by the pool was fun as well as the contests the DJ put on. The DJ I don't think really loved his job but had a great play list. Nice store with items you may have forgotten. We would stay again! They also are open year round. read more

Let me start here, Very overpriced charged me almost $196 for the holiday Sunday night and daily is $113.00 OUTRAGEOUS. Anything HERSHEY IS A DRAWBACK! They robbed me but it will never HAPPEN AGAIN, my fault because I didn't check prior to reservation. Sits along 743 Majorly traveled day and night including lots of semi's too, this is all you hear even with the coach fans/air running!! Your responsable for trash, havent been to a campgroud like that over the years! Sun bakes you no shade, only your awnings! Pool and restrooms are outstanding! Fellow rvers dont stick to the 9MPH and kick up MAJOR DUST!! Farmers field right next to us, smelled manure the entire stay and Flies are overwhelming. Recommendation put a barrier up along road for noise. Campground not secure, should have passcodes and gated enterance . read more

My husband and I with our two kids spent a couple of nights here. Overall everything was great. The putt putt looks newer and well kept. The pool and splash pad has closed for the season but looks to be new and probably a lot of fun in the summer time. The camp staff was very helpful with our first time visiting. Sites were pretty level and they had a fire ring and individual bbq grills. The catch and release fishing pond was freshly stocked. Playground was fun for the kids. They had Saturday night karaoke and several vendors there as well. I'd love to give this place 5 stars... and really the only reason I didn't is no fault of the campground... it's that the road traffic was constant and pretty noisy all night. It was hard to get a good night sleep and I would've loved to have been able to open the windows at night and listen to nature... not traffic. Overall I really enjoyed it as did my family. read more

In over 10 years of camping, I have never left a review for a campground before! Well, that's changed now because I just had to share with everyone how awesome this campground is, wonderful staff, great amenities, bath house immaculate, camp store full of everything you may have forgotten, I even purchased a chair I absolutely love and have never seen before! Nice, level sites, big rig friendly and the pool and hot tub look like they'd be great but we were too early in the season. Staff were very accommodating to our large group. I really struggle to give this campground two stars. It's close to Hershey Park and the two people we met at check-in were nice. The water and electric at our site worked. The good stuff ends there. We chose Hershey Conewago so that we could attend the RV Show at Hershey Park this past weekend. We paid $60/night to park on a grass site with water and electric only. We figured on using the bath house since all the full hookup sites were taken but the bath houses were some of the worst we've seen. Rotting doors, dirty, missing shower heads, a 5 gallon bucket catching what was leaking from a urinal and cigarette butts on the floor of the shower. We couldn't bring ourselves to shower the three nights we were there and we are shower-everyday people! The main roads are gravel, but all of the sites are just grass. Some areas get muddy after a rain shower so big rigs need to be careful which sites they use. There are two dump stations you can use if you don't get a full hook up site. The campground was pretty full due to the RV Show, but the amenities were lacking big time. It was obvious that this must have been a really nice, family operated campground several years ago, but it's now badly deteriorated. The mini golf looks unusable and doesn't appear to be open. The playgrounds were in bad shape and almost every building needed major repair. Basketball/tennis court unusable. Unless someone buys this place and gives it lots of TLC, it's likely to be closed in a couple of years. read more

I must give this place 3 stars because of the amenities, or lack there of. The pool was closed. Other than that,it's a basic campground to use for seeing her the sites. It's central to the Amish towns and covered bridges, as well as Hersheypark I didn't use the restrooms, so I cannot critique them. If you have children, you'll be disappointed with the play areas, but if you like to feed the fish, they have a great koi/carp pond! If you go, ask for a shady spot. read more

We enjoyed our maiden voyage in our new travel trailer over the Labor Day holiday this year. Hershey Road Campground were outstanding host! While the campground is not large, it had many amenities that my family enjoyed. Free putt-putt, awesome pool, well-stocked camp store, roomy dog park, beautiful pond and the nicest campground bathrooms I have ever seen. From the first hello, every staff person was incredibly kind, very knowledgeable and always had a smile. Very clean and well maintained too. We will be back! read more

The pictures of this place, online, look wonderful. DO NOT BE FOOLED though! This place is EXTREMELY run down! Although the staff is nice, the grass is overgrown on many sites, bathrooms are broken, dirty & dingy, and 1/2 the campground was flooded in water. The "basketball court" they said they have is a run down old tennis court (complete with grass growing through the cracks and beat up fence) with a portable net thrown up. Mini golf looked like it was nice, once upon a time. Think of an abandoned campground w running water and electricity. This is a dying campground. We were sorely DISAPPOINTED!! A plus would be very close to Hershey Park and if u like the no rules type of campground. If u sleep eat & go, return campfire then sleep, u will make due. read more

We decided to stay at this Campground due to its close proximity to Hershey Park and the fact that they had sites available for our last minute decision to go to Hershey. It was also probably the least expensive. The owners are very nice. These are the positives. The negatives: we were given a tent site on unmowed grass on a slope, not flat. The bathrooms and showers were gross. We didn't try to use any of the other amenities such as the pool, mini golf, or basketball court. For what we needed, which was a cheap place to sleep while visiting Hershey Park, it did what it was supposed to do. But I wouldn't really recommend it. read more

It's a shame I have to give one star because our stay was fine. Unfortunately that was all spoiled by a $300 charge to my credit card the day after we checked out for a damaged mini blind. When I called to discuss the charge the manager who I spoke to was completely unreasonable and unwilling to hear me out that we never even opened/adjusted/touched the blinds, let alone managed to rip one. It was 90 degrees during out stay so the AC was on and we didn't open windows. This was also a bedroom blind so even more reason for us never having touched it, let alone messed with it enough to break it. There were, however, documented damages to the cabin that occurred prior to our stay that they acknowledged and did not fix prior to check in. So beware; this campground is nice, however you may get saddled with a bogus claim of damages and then charged a ridiculous amount to fix the damages that you supposedly caused. If you stay here I hope you have better luck than we did. read more

The campground has come a long way in the last year. New bath and laundry facilities make it one of the better campgrounds in the area. The pool will be great when it reopens. My family has thoroughly enjoyed being here this winter and can't wait for summer! read more

My sons and I choose this campground because of it's relatively close to Hershey Park (20 minutes) and just down the street from an Action Sports Center (go-karts, laser tag, miniature golf, bumper boats). The location is great, the campground itself is extremely basic... essentially a big field with some trees. The bathrooms were very old and my sons didn't want to use them. We didn't use the pool. The basketball/tennis court was unusable. The campground staff is very nice. Overall, at $40 a night for a tent site with electric and water, it's expensive for what you get, but it's the cheapest campground I could find in the area and the location is good. read more
