My mom has a big pecan tree that really needed some TLC. Parker Tree Service came and gave an estimate that was reasonable. They were able to come out in a few days and the tree was trimmed in about an hour! They moved mom's plants off of the deck, removed all the dead tree limbs, blew out all the leaves, and made sure there were no limbs left near the roof. Gave them a very difficult tree removal in the corner of the yard, with the roughly 40 foot tall hackberry spanning four property lines. They dropped the whole tree inside the work area they were given, inside an hour. It was the single most professional tree removal I have ever seen. The estimator who came by, Ryder, seemed to know exactly what he was doing. He was a very nice young gentleman and took down notes of what we needed. Then within 48 hours the team came and within four hours they had everything taken care of. they removed large tree limbs , cut down a tree, and got the vegetation to be lifted so it doesn't come near the sidewalk and is off the house... George Parker is a complete jerk! I live in a neighborhood with lots of trees and have used Parker Tree Service for years. I recently called him and asked him to come cut down a big dead tree that is hanging over my backyard cabana and he said it wasn't worth his time. Being a client for over 10 years and paying him thousands of dollars to trim my tree's, that wasn't the conversation I would have expected. He literally told me to F-off, it wasn't worth his time and that he was removing me from his client list. Having used Parker tree Service in the past I was looking forward to using their services again at our new home where we have over 20 trees. I called days in advance to schedule an arborist to take a look at a few of our trees that need some attention and to get advice on if and when I should get them all trimmed. First scheduled appointment no one showed up. After trying to get ahold of someone at the office I was told (35 mins after scheduled time) he wouldn't be able to make it but we could reschedule. So here I am the day of the reschedule waiting again. Don't be shocked....no call / no show at the time they had set to come out. I wouldn't recommend this company for the simple fact that I made an appointment with George Parker and he failed to show up. I even sent him a text two hours before our scheduled appointment as he wasn't thrilled about meeting at 6 PM. Trying to be nice, I moved things around on my schedule to be more accommodating, left work early, and he didn't show up or acknowledge my text. I would understand if he was caught-up on another job and was running late and would have be fine had he simply called or text me back. The worst thing about George is that he just called me back, 2 weeks after our scheduled appointment, asking if I still needed service. I told him that he missed our scheduled appointment and that since I never heard back, I had scheduled service with another company. He promptly hung up and never once apologized for missing his scheduled appointment. There are multiple tree service companies in the Plano area with ISA Certified Arborists. The 2 that I reached out to (Hernandez Tree Service and Texas Tree Surgeons) called me back same day, scheduled a site visit for the following day, showed up as scheduled, and provided a quality and competitive bid before leaving site. This is what I consider a quality company. If someone fails to follow through on the most basic principles of owing a business and has zero consideration for the client; personally, I wouldn't trust them to follow through on any associated business practices which is why I wouldn't recommend Parker Tree Service. read more

Was researching tree trimmers on a Saturday morning. I contacted them via their website, and they responded within 10 minutes. They were able to come out that Monday to inspect my tree. Very knowledgeable staff. He showed me which of my neighbors trees were trimmed correctly and which were not. He explained what cuts would be needed to my tree and the quote was reasonable. They arrived the next day for the work and were done in 30 mins. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Great company and great service and reasonably priced. I had an oak tree come down with oak wilt last year. I had an arborist come out and try and save it with no luck. This tree was huge. The guys from Parker Tree Service knew their stuff and were very courteous. The crew showed up on time and had the tree down within a few hours. It took them a bit longer to grind the stump down but definitely not any fault of theirs. All the limbs were chipped and hauled off. They even removed all the wood shavings from the stump grinding. I was fearful about the oak wilt spreading. Will definitely have them out when it is time to prune the other three oaks. read more

Called for an estimate after the first company failed to show. I think their estimate was probably artificially low anyway. So, throwing them out, Parker was in the middle of the other two. He showed up within a couple of hours of me calling. He brought his iPad and showed me his work and equipment. He really seemed to know what he was talking about. I scheduled and his guys showed up right on time (they called me and were started when I got home). They were quick and efficient and very professional. The three guys at my house were all friendly, polite, and respectful. When they were finished, my trees looked better than they have in years, all the little sticks were cleaned up, and everything looked great. They came out to our place which needed much work (2 acres-many large trees needed the canopy raised, thinned out & two needed complete removal.) The team of 10 men came early in the morning & worked all day until dark to complete the job. They were professional & hard working. Wow! Just had an unbelievable experience with the owner. I asked Parker tree service to remove a tree that had an electrical light attached to it. I told Parker about the light and sent them a photo of the set up asking for a quote. I understand that have electricity complicates the removal. I asked that the quote include removal of that particular light and re hook up the electricity to the remainder of the landscape lighting. Parker's quote was $250 higher than everyone else but I chose them because they said they could handle the electricity situation. After tree removal none of the landscape lighting worked including my pool lights. I called Parker 3 times and they agreed to send someone out each time to fix it but they never showed up. Each time the conversation was pleasant and without issue dealing with they lady who answers their phone. Today I got a call from the owner Parker who immediately laid into with serious attitude stating: 1. We are tree people not electricians 2. How do we know the lights even worked before? 3. What makes you think We are responsible? I explained that it was all part of the deal, which I why I sent them photos of the situation. I had Parker Tree Service trim about 11 trees at my house today, and could not be happier with the work they did. Easy to work with and very professional. They had a particularly difficult cut on a series of 3 trees on the far side of the pool with no room. They brought in a bucket truck and trimmed them back beautifully. we contacted Parker Tree Service about chipping/hauling away some limbs that were already trimmed and cleaning up the areas on the trees that we couldn't get to. They said they would be out at 3:00pm on 7/8. My wife rearranged her schedule to be home then. She was called and told they had an "emergency" job in Dallas and we would be called when they were on the way. At 7:30, I called them to ask if they were still coming and was told "No we are not." The owner them told me "sir, you are not worth my time for just chipping limbs and small cleanup jobs". Fair enough, I guess he has all the business he could ever want. Parker Tree Service did an excellent job taking down a big bothersome cottonwood tree in our yard. We were hoping to keep it but it was shedding way too much, clogging up our pool and making the yard look real messy. George Parker and his crew did a great job. They did not bring any big machinery into my yard (all new beautiful grass) but instead brought in a small bobcat to haul away the cut logs and put it not the chipper that was out in the street. The guys climbed the tree (and it was tall!), cut it down in sections and lowered it to the ground using ropes. At the end of the day they cleaned up the yard really well. There were a few scratches along my fence from hauling out the limbs but they cleaned up the scratches and we cannot see them now. All in all, we were super satisfied with their work. read more

Let me just talk about this company. First of all, Rachel, she is so sweet and so easy to talk to about your needs. She and her boss George are working with a donation garden in Plano called Legacy Preparatory Charter School. It is on five acres of beautiful land and the school has the kids come learn/work in the garden. It's truly something to see. It's being managed by one teacher and Rachel/ George have made it possible for this garden to receive mulch! They are working with the school to donate fresh, wonderful mulch. This company exceeded my expectations in trimming our huge red oak tree in the backyard! We just bought this house and the tree was extremely overgrown and it needed to be trimmed ASAP. George came out the next day to take a look at our tree and provided a very reasonable estimate. Although we didn't have an urgent need for the trimming, they were able to do the work just a few days later. They raided the canopy and thinned our Red Oak as well as removed a dead bush stump.
