I'm from Texas, and I'd never seen brisket served in cubes before, so I had to try them. They were good, but not quite my preference. Next time, I'll try the sliced brisket and smoked chicken. The birds hadn't been picked yet. The macaroni and cheese was rich and cheesy, and the deviled egg potato salad was tasty--slightly salty, but still good. I'll definitely go back for the tea, ribs, sliced brisket, and chicken!!!!!!

Stumbled in on the last Saturday of the month loaded baked potato special (my dream meal) and I cannot recommend it enough. The smoke is obvious, but not too heavy. Husband ordered two meat plate with brisket and Pulled pork. He has never loved brisket at a restaurant as he likes making it himself, and he loved Peter's Boys brisket. The sides were also delicious. Motto is not fast food. We were there about an hour which wasn't bad at all. Take out was running 11/2. Advice...get there early. Very clean restaurant in a building housing several other restaurants - nice idea. Shared bathrooms were also spotless. You will love it at Peter's Boys!

I stopped in during a very busy lunch rush, but they were still cranking food out of the kitchen in a reasonable amount of time. The overall atmosphere was good, the staff kept things moving, and the entire place was noticeably clean. I ordered the chopped brisket sandwich, and the thing was pretty huge. It came served on a lightly toasted brioche hamburger bun and was well-chopped and mixed, meaning every single bite had a heavy amount of great smoke flavor. Since it is authentic Texas BBQ, the meat stands on its own and you really don't even need sauce, but I did end up adding a little bit of their house "everything" sauce which hit the spot. For the sides, the smoked mac and cheese was delicious and had a notable smokiness all the way through it. They season it straight Texas-style with just coarse black pepper, which gives it a great, simple flavor. I finished things off with the cornbread, which was awesome--really moist and provided a perfect sweet end to a heavy, savory meal. I'll definitely be heading back here next time I need a solid barbecue fix.

Yes, you BRETT. Brett was on top of it all night and was incredibly thoughtful and polite. Just a really amiable young man. This is important because it can make or break an experience out. All the staff, and there were a lot with the wedding, were great. Our food was fantastic and I was delighted to see I could finally get a variety of fish in a different day besides Friday "only". My wife's steak was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Nice work! There is a 100% chance we will go again and spread the word. The historic restaurant really added to the evening with the older original decor as well.

Asked to be seated multiple times. I actually think they forgot about us. Fries were unseasoned. Hashbrowns were in a literal puddle of oil. "Sour cream" is actually flavored butter. Steak is flavorless. Salmon was dry. Bread was stale. Buns were dry and crumbly. Chicken was dry. One salt and pepper shaker for a table of 20. Big bright lights everywhere and no ambiance. Water was smelly. Food was cold. Huge disappointment.

I got the pulled pork north carolins sandwich and a double order of the brisket. I got this for $25, it was was well worth it. It's a good amount of food for me, I'll be eating it tomorrow as well but that was the hope! My thoughts: 1.) $25 for the amount of food I got was EXCELLENT! It looks good and I'll be eating it tomorrow as well. 2.) sauce up the pulled pork, I liked the Chicago sauce. It was more like a honey bbq with more depth. Pulled pork needs salt & the sauce helps 3.) cold slaw (??) needs more tang to it, but it adds a nice texture 4.) the beef brisket looks amazing! I got the sampler with 2 choices & just chose double brisket. Haven't tried it yet, but I can tell it won't disappoint. 5.) is probably order my sandwiches saucy in the future, just cuz of the flavor boost. 6.) bun got a bit soggy on pulled pork. I just flipped it around. I guess this kind of sandwich is intended to be eaten messy anyway so it's ok Overall, I'll definitely be back! It's YUM for a good price, especially for the amount of food you receive!! Also, that woman was so gregarious and friendly!

Service was absolutely amazing! Ashley took great care of us from start to finish. While they setup our table, we all gathered for a drink at the bar, the place was poppin, and you could tell this is a great local hang out. As we grabbed our drinks we headed to the table, they have lots of seating available for all party sizes. The menus had some great options for a really great price as well. I went with the tenderloin and shared it with my son, I think it was 16 or 20 oz, and was more than enough for us to split. I have to say, this is probably one of the best steaks I've ever had. IT was cooked to pure perfection of mid-rare and came with a big loaded baked potato, and an option of soup or salad. Which I tried the caeasar and their tortellini soup. The steak melted like pure butter, and just melted in your mouth. When I came to add pics to Yelp, I realized I didn't get a picture, and was devastated, because this steak was truly amazing. We chose a spot facing the entrance which was fun because we could watch the bar tender and see what types of drinks other patrons were ordering! I saw alot of old fashioneds being ordered. Of course, I followed the trend and did the same. I ordered mine sour it was great! Watching him make mine and by the taste, I could tell they make their own sour mix. It added a uniquely sour, yet flavorful touch. My friend ordered a dirty martini that was also perfectly made! Not to mention, they have homemade seasoned pretzels at the bar. Seasoned pretzels and an old fashioned was a great way to start this experience. We ordered our meals at the bar and then were given a number that correlated to the table we were to sit at. I had no idea this was how supper clubs worked but I liked the idea of sitting down on our own time. We were having so much fun at the bar that we didnt make our way to the table until our second drink. When we got to our table our salads were already waiting for us! I got the house salad with blue cheese. Although a simple salad it was delicious! The blue cheese dressing was super good- if thats your thing I would definitely recommend ordering. I also got the french onion soup which was amazing. Perfect ratio of soup to bread to cheese. They also serve bread when you sit down. I tried to avoid eating too much bread but found myself eating two slices. I got the perch as my entree. It was a large portion of fish, battered and fried served with tartar sauce. My friend ordered the steak and that was cooked to perfection too! I was told that when here you have to get a grasshopper drink on the way out. So I followed their recommendation and did. It was so good and I don't even like mint that much! It was served in a small martini glass. Overall I would 100% go back to and recommend the prime steer.
