    Fried Mozzarella Sticks
    Jessica D.

Came for dinner on a Sat night as a party of 4. We ordered drinks & appetizers. The straws were dirty & opened. One end at least was black. When opened they were crumpled which was equally not right (red flag). We get our apps and the mozzarella sticks were cold in the middle. We sent them back & got the same bitten mozzarella sticks that I assume were re-fried.. not sure but that was bad. Then we get the food and everything was below average in taste, presentation, and In temperature. To make our visit worse, as the waitress is serving our food she coughs without covering her face in the direction of my husband & our table. All of this along with the dissatisfaction of not having enough silverware for 4 people, not enough napkins, no refills on our drinks is WAY MORE than enough reason to never come here again. Disgusting, disgusting, disgusting.

I was there for a small Men's Breakfast with some Men from my church. The food and service were very good. I will return.

2026 Fall Soups!…read more Last week my hubby and I saw soups listed on the white specials board (propped up on the wall behind the counter) while eating breakfast. When we paid, on our way out, I asked if they were prepared to sell the soup "to go". Yes they are ready with a 12 oz container with a lid. I was also told they would have two soups available each day. So today, 10/4/26, I had hubby pick me up a portion of one of today's specials which was potato soup as a "to go" for my lunch while he was picking up our "to go" breakfasts. Yum! My mom always made a variety of soup when I was a kid and then I made many kinds, for years, for my family of four. Now as an empty nester I am thrilled to find "homemade" soup at the Rise and Shine! As yummy as anything I and my mom cooked but I don't have to do the shopping, cooking and cleanup! The potato soup came with a small bag of oyster crackers which happens to be my favorite soup cracker because it doesn't change the flavor of the soup but does give it an immediate fresh crunch which I enjoy. The potato soup was thick, creamy and filled with chunks of potatoes cut into bite-sized pieces. There was also a handful of shredded, yellow cheddar cheese and crumpled, crispy bacon thrown into the middle of it which when stirred; then swirled throughout making the soup that much more filling and tasty! Well worth trying. I am already looking forward to the Cream of Turkey soup I was told would be one of the specials in November!

I enjoyed my pork roll egg and cheese on a roll a classic when in Jersey. My gf had a corn beef hash item that she said was delicious. Food was so good we went 2 days in a row for breakfast.

The food was decent but was hoping for a little more based on the 'hype' generated by the reviews... The service was VERY good... my coffee was cold and i politely asked them if i could get a fresh cup.. they not only brought a steaming cup but also warmed up the milk, which was VERY thoughtful.. The people was very kind and polite and the ambience is mos def that of a diner... Lots of options for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner on the menu. A decent experience overall...

I had so much room that I felt like I was sitting on a throne. Maybe it was cause it was 5 PM, but regardless, they serviced us so quickly. We also had a waiter give us menus and water within a minute and they continuously checked up on us asking if we wanted to order. They definitely know what's in their food too. I inquired about my Impossible Burger regarding if it had any sauces with egg since I'm allergic and the waiters knew immediately. Nice. My Impossible burger was pretty good, but the fries stole the show. They were fried so well and had the perfect amount of crunch. My friends also had the milkshakes which were absolutely loaded. Definitely very hefty but worth the sugary snack, This is such a nice diner. It truly gives that diner vibe with the booths and music. The service is great, food is fantastic and came out quick, and everything is just amazing. Go cop a meal.

This is definitely a popular spot, so be prepared for a potential wait. That said, we put our name on the waitlist for two on a Saturday during brunch and were seated in under five minutes! Also if you DO have to wait, there are a ton of shops in the area that you can browse. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our server recommended several dishes to us, which I really appreciated. The price point is also extremely fair for the amount of food you get, especially considering how good the food is. The portions are generous, and everything we had was phenomenal. Highly recommend the s'mores iced latte, any of the skillets, and the toast sampler. I will absolutely be coming back!

While they are known for their giant stacks of pancakes and coffee flights, I was really only craving something savory and more lunchy to go with my latte (which was delicious) so I ended up, at my waitresses suggestion, getting the Mediterranean bowl. It was one of the healthy options (a section of the menu) but was absolutely delicious!! It came with a green sauce that I could have had by the bottle, was massive and hit the spot. Come with friends and get a little bit of everything, maybe even a table pancake, so you can make your way through more of the menu. They were swamped on a random weekday afternoon, so I can't even imagine how busy they must get on the weekends.
