I love how you can register your card and add your info. There's even a bill breaker if needed available. Also, they sell laundry soap and sheets if needed over the counter. I wish there mini soap vending machine worked but it's cool, I should've been prepared. They have washers and dryers in many sizes for reasonable prices. I love how it only took 20 minutes for my comforter to wash. The dryer took roughly 42 minutes to dry my comforter. Customer service was nice, the worker was so helpful once located, I truly appreciate his help. This place was clean and had many machines available and carts plus seating area which I needed. Only con, I wish there was AC because it was super hot inside and outside. Definitely would come back on a less hot day.

Since becoming a single mom, their pickup and fold service has become an absolute game changer for me. I work full-time and juggle my toddler's busy schedule, so finding time for laundry can be tough -- but they make it effortless... not to mention my laundry feels clean! I've used Rinse but American Mega is way better. The staff is always kind, professional, and reliable. A special shoutout to Tony, the delivery driver -- he's incredibly courteous and always goes the extra mile. It's rare to find a business that treats customers like family, but American Mega Laundromat truly does. If you're looking for a trustworthy, convenient laundry service with amazing people behind it, I can't recommend them enough!

I went to their website, downloaded the app, and scheduled a pickup for the next day. I was meticulous and bagged my items by type (40 degrees, 30 degrees, and gentle cycle). I used trash bags and then weighed them. The driver called me the day of and gave me a window of time and came directly to my 8th floor apartment door with a giant, rolling bin to pickup my four bags. He is the hero of this story. When the cleaners had questions, he called me. Then we picked a time for him to drop-off based on my schedule. My clothes came back in clear, plastic bags all folded and yes, smelled clean. I could track everything in the app and the receipt was sent to me via email with the breakdown. My weight (of clothes) matched theirs and I was not surprised by the bill. Overall, I would do it again!

(Curtis has more than a few words to say about this laundromat so I'll let him review it.)…read more So after working all day Saturday, Jade had a great idea. Let's take our laundry to a wash and fold service. I, being quite tired (and equally lazy), agreed. We took it to Spring Family Laundromat, located on 16th Street in Silver Spring. My first impressions of the place were not so good. I thought the place was kind of dirty, as many laundromats seem to be (ironically enough, considering they provide cleaning services). I also noted how much more expensive the machines are than other laundromats in the area. The drop off seemed simple enough, put your clothes on the scale, fill out a ticket, and pay. Reluctantly, Jade handed over $30 for 30 lbs. of clothes to the woman who annoyingly remained on her mobile phone the entire time and didn't bother to exclude the weight of our laundry baskets. Things got interesting the next day when we came back to pick up the clothes. The same woman that was working the night before was still there talking on the phone. I did not have my ticket, so she had to look me up in her book, which she put John (my birth name) instead of my last name. Now I am not going to even try to guess how many Johns live in the DC-Silver Spring area, but I would bet my life there are more than a few. She confirmed that my laundry weighed 30 lbs. and then gave me the bags. She then asked for the $30... I had to explain to her that Jade had paid her the night before. She seemed mystified. I just picked up my clothes and walked out, vouching never to return. To her credit, the laundry is neatly folded, better than I could say if I had done it myself. The morals of the story: (1) First impressions sometimes are correct; Trust your gut. (2) Get a receipt, especially when paying in cash. (3) Keep accurate records, and remember to keep them available for when you need them. (4) Hang up the mobile once in awhile, especially when doing business. (5) If you want something done right (and cheap), do it yourself.
