    Constant water shut offs.

    Absolutely horrible experience here. I've never had to call 911 in my life. Upon moving to Park Central, I had to call multiple times. 1. Car explosions in the parking garage. 2. Neighbor threatening another neighbor with a knife over noise complaints. 3. Neighbor assaulting another neighbor with pepper spray over noise complaint. 4. Neighbor screaming I'VE GOT A GUN after a fight in the hallway. I talked with management after each of these and they promised me they'd take care of it, and would be installing new cameras in all the garages and hallways. This never happened and as far as I know all the residents involved still live there. I had constant issues with non-handicapped residents parking in the handicapped spots without a placard. Management was willing to tag the vehicles, but it was just a constant stream of different vehicles. I asked to have a closer parking space as an alternative but was denied saying 'that spot was reserved for another resident'. I was also promised EV chargers on the top floor in the garages-- this also never happened. If you do move here, absolutely don't get an 'inner' unit unless you want to hear screaming 'F*&K!!!!!!' extremely loud during any sporting event by residents with their windows open. I'm pretty sure this was a family member of a member of the management team. There's constant parties at the pool area by people I've never seen before around the complex drinking, screaming, blasting music. I also don't recommend being anywhere near the parking garages, where residents blast music and have extremely loud vehicles and drive far too fast up/down the garage due to no management oversight and non-working cameras. There are constant issues with the water system, resulting in water being turned off for the complex. In our 1 year here, this happened at least 4 times for over 6 hours at a time. Additionally, the fire alarms go off frequently for false alarms. The package room is constantly robbed, and packages are strewn about the complex by Amazon drivers. Expect Amazon to occasionally deliver packages outside the front door of the leasing office on Galindo, where they are easily stolen. Also, invest in ear plugs for the constant sound of fireworks/explosions late at night, as well as gun shots from the surrounding neighborhood.

    So. These are pretty nice clean pictures that the management of Park Central have put up on Yelp recently. Showing spot clean apartments, the fitness center, and all. Don't be fooled. But, did they mention, they will NOT allow their own residents access to these sparking clean areas? Of course they haven't. To this day, the renters of Park Central, have no access for the last at least 10 months to the fitness center, the common rooms (recreation rooms, cycle room, business center, pool) and even have been told they are not welcome into the Leasing Office, unless you have "an appointment". In the meantime. The gates around the entire premises are broken. Anyone can enter at compromised points, and take a look at the "clean" ( in jest) hallways we've had for over a YEAR now! Oh yeah, very Covid friendly. They've managed to put stickers on the floor of the elevators, that they maybe clean every 2 months. So, at least we are safe. But don't get stuck in a broken elevator, because the staff have no idea how to get you out. Oh, and we just recently found out. The "Luxury" pricing we've been laying for our apartment the last 6+ years....we were told, "you don't actually have a "luxury" apartment. But still, we are paying MORE a month, than these supposed apartments!!!! All we asked for was a new faucet! And we were told NO. Good luck.

    We pat a little over $3600.00 a month. Look at the photos to decide if Park Central is 3600.00 quality. We have lived here for approximately 2 years. The apartments are nice if you like cheap ikea cabinets, a very thin carpeting, and it's not quiet. The trash can movers wake us up just about 2-3x a week around 4 a.m.. The front office will straight up lie to your face, blame you for the issues at hand, and will not accept any responsibility for their actions and/or lack thereof.....don't move in here!! It will turn into a nightmare ... I will add the rest at a later date.

    This place use to be "luxury" when Jesse was manager. There use to be great customer service, the apartment complex was clean, rarely any car break-ins, and management use to reply immediately. Use to love it hear that I would tell folks to look into Park Central. In the past 3 months, I had my car broken into and they stole my work essentials and left my sons car seat all dirty. This December couple days before Christmas my parents came to visit, got late spent the night... the following morning at 5 am as my dad was going to work his wheel was stolen, had to miss a days work. Couple days later, my sons Christmas trees (2 of them) that we put in front of our door to show some Christmas spirit, was stolen by some guy who we caught on our camera. I had to go to Home Depot at 7am in the morning to replace my son's trees so I can avoid the conversation of him asking "Daddy, why aren't my trees here??".This is where it gets interesting. 1) When I called management to informed them about my car break in, in October, I asked if there were any cameras they can pull up and they told me that they would reach back to me vie email, NO Response. 2) I called to let them know about my dads tire being stolen, and if there was any camera footage or anything that could be a remedy, there response, "I'll call you back in 10-15 min" and no call back. Note: My parents came over for Christmas and it was embarrassing for me when he stated he was going to go back home to leave his car because at Park Central it will get stolen. 3) This time I went to the office at 9:30am and let Bethany (Manager/Assistant..idk), know that I had enough and that many of my neighbors were fed up! I told her that I was still waiting on her email since October about my car break in, that I was still waiting on the 10-15 min call I never received from her collogue. I told her I was exhausted with the service here of them neglecting the residents. I expressed to her that one of the residents who my dad was speaking to when he seen his tire stolen told that he had been here for 6 months and his car was broken into twice. I have expressed why the gates remain broken, why aren't there no cameras and what is the purpose of security. One of her responses was "I live here to and my car has been broken into as well" I took it as, "If they got into my car, what makes you think we are going to look into yours." We have security folks who patrol from time to time and they have told us that they have notified the property about the gates. They also informed us the the night I seen my car broken into that it could have been homeless, as they caught someone living on the roof of the south building. I was told that the security guard who gave us that information was then let go because they were not allowed to give personal opinion on how things were ran at the property to residents. I also had someone from cooperate tell me that I should look at if from a different perspective on when it came to the trees being stolen... that some else NEEDED them more than I did. Now, when my car got broken into and the security guard said it could possibly be a homeless, I wasn't upset because besides them stealing my work essentials, they stole a portable vacuum and sanitation wipes. I was just happy they did not damage my car. I went to speak to Bethany on 12/29/22 and let her know that our time living at Park Central is over. She did not hesitate to hand me the "Intention to Terminate" papers. She did not even try to provide customer service and try to see if there was a way to have us stay.. no empathy. CRAZY because as I was sitting at her desk, this gentleman comes in and says "Hey man, if you are about to move here, they are great! I smiled and put my head down and Bethany stated towards me, "Only if he knew that your about to leave". I mean the Audacity!!! Crazy thing is that when you ask for something to get done by them it takes forever or noting happens, but man was she fast to give me those Lease Termination Papers!! After all the crap I have gone through with them, she hits me with the, you will still need to pay 2 remaining months plus the time that you are still here, as I told her that I want to leave in mid January. The cost to leave this LUXURY Apartment....$7,900!! The least they can do if they are tired of dealing with people is let them out there lease so they can get the hell out and stop bothering them because that's what it feels like. So over this place. From car break ins, no response from management/zero liability, gates are open for random people coming in, smells like cigs/weed, alarms going off early in the morning, trash filled up by new mailboxes, people braking into mailboxes... This place has gone down the drain. At this point, I have reached out to the Better Business Bureau and I will looking into legal council. Palm Lake used to be a great place to live. What made it great was the office staff and maintenance team was very responsive and proactive when it came to any issues regarding our unit and upkeep of the building. Fast forward to today, this is far from the case. Not only does management keep switching every 6 months, they are unresponsive, short tempered, and incredibly RUDE. Let me tell you about my experience today. Recently, there has been a mice infestation in our building. We see them, we hear them in our walls, and it makes it hard to sleep soundly knowing there are rodents scurrying in your walls. The assistant manager Kimberly Arzadon spoke to me weeks ago saying she would call pest control to our unit to plug any potential holes. I told her that doesn't fix the root problem, and they would still nest within our walls. Today, in front of potential renters, she ABRUPTLY cut me off mid sentence and told me she would not be speaking to me at all. Natalie Castillo, the property manager, quickly echoed her from her office. But why? You spoke to me previously with no issues? I've never been told I can't speak about a concern in a unit I live in, just because I'm not on the lease. The issue was not the lease, the issue was that there were potential renters inside of the office as well. They both quickly and rudely shut me up. I couldn't get a cohesive and complete sentence out of my lips before I was told no. They treated me inhumanely, rudely, and poorly. It was only after the potential renters left on a tour, that Natalie decided to put on her nice manager act, and talk to me with concern in her eyes, and a calm quiet tone in her voice. Really? After being so abrupt and rude to begin with? Anyway. Don't move here. The apartments are infested with mice. Cars keep getting broken into. 3 times now we have had our cars broken into and glass shattered (???they said they won't install cameras because its too expensive???), and the office staff is as arrogant and rude as they come. I'm attaching photos for those who don't believe me. Best of luck to you all.

Long story short, if you're looking for a complex that will take your money and blatantly ignore you, this is the place for you. DO NOT FALL FOR THE FREE MONTH OF RENT promotion. There is a clear catch. I will begin with this. During the process of signing my lease, I was provided with the absolute bare minimum in terms of move-in materials and resources. I was given a set of keys and a parking pass, that is all. A few weeks into my occupancy, the locks stopped working. Given that it was 9 p.m., and I had work the next day, my ONLY option was to contact an emergency locksmith to change the locks. I was unaware of a maintenance hotline, as stated before the leasing agents executed only a fraction of their duties after I signed my lease. I kindly reached out to Erica about rectifying the situation, in which their response time was excessive. I simply wanted to be refunded due to this unit's faulty locks. After weeks of back-and-forth (mind you, I initiated every conversation), they told me that they would not refund my $280 expense that I incurred. Not to mention, the state of the property is in disrepair. My unit is in shambles, and the ongoing list of issues with my unit has become extensive. I certainly hope that the next nine months go by quickly; I CANNOT wait to NOT call Park Lafayette Apartments home. It is clear that staff and management do not have the comfort or safety of their residents as a priority. Noise between units is significant. I've had two different upstairs neighbors, and in both cases late-night noises have been common--frequent stomping, doors slamming, and regular household activities such as running the garbage disposal, cooking, and doing dishes as late as 3:00 AM. For anyone who values sleep, this can be challenging. The property does have policies, including quiet hours and a no-smoking policy, but these rules do not appear to be consistently enforced. Property management also appears to be understaffed and is rarely available on-site, which makes it difficult to address ongoing concerns in a timely manner. That said, there are several positives. The location is convenient and close to downtown, while the surrounding neighborhood itself is generally quiet. The grounds and landscaping are well maintained, the property is very pet-friendly, and pricing is fairly reasonable for the amenities. Secure parking is a plus, and the maintenance team has been responsive and helpful whenever issues arise.
