I got the kids shrimp which was perfect for a quick lunch. It comes in a fry container that sits perfectly in my cup holder. The shrimp were crispy, hot and very fresh with just the right amount of seasoning, as were the French fries and two deliciously slightly sweet hush puppies I was delighted to find waiting for me at the bottom of the cup ! Definitely make your way over to Off the Hook and support a new business in town and have some great food.

I returned the food & asked to speak with a manage, but conveniently there wasn't a manger on site so I left my contact info. The manager (Nory) called a few hours later not to address my concern, but to insult my intelligence & palate by delivering a dissertation on how fish naturally smells and the oils it produces. And I quote, "you are the only customer who complained TODAY." The fish did not taste or smell fishy, it was SPOILED! What they failed to understand is that it only takes one customer to tell you your food is inedible for it to warrant attention. I wasn't looking for a lecture; I simply wanted a sincere apology and reassurance that my concern was being taken seriously. Instead, I was met with defensiveness and condescension. 0/10 I do NOT recommend!

This is the only Seafood market in Zachary and they always have fresh catfish, oysters and shrimp…read morethe peeled shrimp and shrimp with the heads still on but that's about it as far as fresh goes they do have some frozen seafood also but I never buy any frozen seafood. The Prices are about the same as any of the smaller seafood shops. They have good boiled crawfish when in season and they also have corn & potatoes. They sell plate lunches, fountain and bottle dboudin and homemade cracklins. I bought $5 worth today and they're fantastic. If you like boudin it's pretty good here. This place keeps it clean especially during this corona 19 virus. They had a hand washing station outside to clean your hands before you came in and also limited the amount of who could come in and that was nice. Today they've even made it safer for the customer. Now you enter through the back street where they've sat up a drive thru pick up your order. Just call their number and place your order for fresh seafood and cooked seafood and then you just pull up, pay and go. So today I bought some hot boiled crawfish for lunch and some fresh shrimp I'm gonna fry for dinner!

The regulars also gave me a brief history about the place and told me that everything on the menu was fantastic. Leblanc's has a very nice family atmosphere and I even had a worker on the hot lunch line offer to check on my order after 40 minutes. The place was super busy so be prepared to wait for a while at lunch time. As the sign says, "it's good food, not fast food." It took 50 minutes to place my order and receive my food. During this time waiting I did become enticed by the hot lunch that had catfish and fried chicken. Visually their food on the hot lunch line appeared miles ahead of what's served at the Jett's Food Mart. The inside of the restaurant was pretty clean and well maintained given the storied history of the building. I walked away with a cheeseburger and fries with a vegetable plate containing broccoli rice, cabbages and okra and tomato. The burger patty was less seasoned than I expected but it was a good quality homestyle burger. They serve all toppings on the burger except ketchup. Nothing to complain about. The fries were also a great complement. There is also plenty of salt, pepper and other condiments that you can use to your liking. The vegetable plate was absolutely fantastic and flavorful. Cabbages were full of tender meat and the broccoli rice has visible onions, plenty of cheese and was very delicious. I have a feeling that this is the best hot lunch line in Zachary. I will be back.

Cafe Phoenicia is my go to Greek & Lebanese restaurant in Zachary! I've been coming here for years…read more I like that it's somewhat different than other similar types of restaurants, and that their dishes are consistently good. One of the first differences is that most dishes include a choice of salads. We are all familiar with the Feta Salad, and this is a good choice. However, this place has a Fatoush Salad option, that includes a topping of crispy pita croutons. This is my favorite option! Then we move along to the entrees. Surprisingly, they have a good variety of seafood offerings, which is a reasonable component of Greek cuisine. I like all of these! Then there are a variety of pasta dishes, all with a great Greek flavor. One delightful dish is the Stuffed Plate which includes a variety of stuffed vegetables, along with a salad! There are also great classic options like lamb shanks, shawarma, and gyros. The simple gyro sandwich is always a good option, and priced nicely. That's what I like about Cafe Phoenicia, no matter if you want the simple or the adventurous, they have something to satisfy you.
