I went to the one in Zachary and ordered 2 shrimp poboys and 1 roast beef poboy. The french bread was fresh and the shrimp was cooked to perfection. I am from New Orleans so I am picky about my roast beef poboys and I can say it was made just like the ones I grew up eating, The place was very clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Hot, fast and fresh with super friendly service! Great addition to Zachary. Absolutely love having a fast seafood option that also offers quality fresh food. I got the kids shrimp which was perfect for a quick lunch. It comes in a fry container that sits perfectly in my cup holder. The shrimp were crispy, hot and very fresh with just the right amount of seasoning, as were the French fries and two deliciously slightly sweet hush puppies I was delighted to find waiting for me at the bottom of the cup ! First time going. Amazing food. Wonderful customer service. Super super friendly people and an awesome atmosphere. The food was perfect. The swamp fries were awesome. We also had the raspberry lemonade. The drinks are self serve. Most items can be made into a combo. We spent about $30 but that's about normal in today's economy. Off the Hook recently opened a location in Zachary. I never heard of them prior to than as I'm not from Louisiana. Because they are new the wait is extremely long, I'm talking at least 30 minutes. It doesn't matter if you're in the drive thru or if you go inside. I've been a few times and tried the fried catfish, fried shrimp, fries, hush puppies, potato salad, and red beans and rice. The fried fish is really really good especially for a fast food restaurant. The shrimp I could do without the hush puppies are really delicious. The potato salad needs more mustard. It was very white washed with the mayo in the red beans and rice were delicious oh and their french fries way too salty Outside of the temporary long wait my only complaint is the limitations on the sides. You can order a platter, but you can only substitute the fries that come with the platter for a smaller fry. I attempted to substitute the fries for potato salad or red beans and rice. They told me I could not do so. I think that is very strange especially because you're substituting aside for a side. It just makes no sense if you go in the inside, it is really clean obviously because it's still new and the customer service outside of the substitution of sites it's pretty good thus far so if you're craving catfish and restaurants are closed or you're out during your lunch. I would recommend giving the place a try. read more

Don't listen to the out-of-towners, this is the best "Cajun" fast food I've had! Hey, restaurants get slammed and service slows down... that's part of it. I'm sure that, as a brand new place, they will figure that part out. The FOOD is the main thing! The gumbos are very tasty and made with good, fresh ingredients. Love the chicken and sausage gumbo! The shrimp are Gulf shrimp and that's important to me! The fried green beans are wonderful! I had a Shrimp Wrap and it was delicious and a large portion too. The service was excellent! The employees are polite and well trained (like Chick-fil-A) and that's rare these days. Good management makes that happen. If you're in the mood for take out or a casual eat in experience with some pretty darn good food, try this place. I don't think you will be disappointed (unless you are from New Orleans or just like to complain!) read more
