The boil itself had a pretty good taste, I just could've gotten a LITTLE bit more spice. The butter however wasn't my favorite. Taste like the butter was marinating or blended with some type of seafood stock, gave the butter a bad taste to me. I was really excited to try this place and it didn't live up to the hype that I was expecting. The seafood seemed to all be boiled in salt water and left to sit there until someone orders. It's definitely fast, but I wonder how long food will be out until it's swatched out since it's kind of like buffet style. I was disappointed to hear that they use the same tongs for everything so my food sensitivity wasn't accommodated. The sauce is an extra $0.69 and it was definitely spicy. We also ordered fried catfish and that was surprisingly good. If I was ever craving it, I would come back just to order the catfish. Since crawfish is now out of season (August), they were really small with very little meat. That's not really on the business since they can't control that. I can see the crawfish being a good spot once it is in season. The bathrooms are a little rough. One of them doesn't even lock and it's really sticky. I have tried plenty of crawfish in Baton Rouge and Sammy has always come through. I love spicy food and they deliver. The place is small and quaint and they always have specials that give you more bang for your buck. Everyone is super friendly and they don't skimp out on quantity and quality of their seafood.
