A few doors down from Antoni's in the Oil Center, the restaurant is an order&pay-at-the-counter place and grab a seat wherever you can. Faster than a sit-down restaurant, but not by much. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and helpful. We're a family of 3 and got 2 of the same dish (one of us is a teenager and can eat a full order of anything unaided ). The Acadia Biscuit. Honestly, the biscuits are pretty ordinary for a place with Biscuit in its name. Buttery and tasty, but merely a vehicle for the delicious mains. This one was fried catfish, fried crawfish, and covered in étouffé. Even though I thought the étouffé could have been more seasoned, restaurants in this area have perfected fried seafood. One word: DELICIOUS. I personally am a sucker for a burger with an egg so I was immediately hooked when I noticed the hangover burger. Lemme tell you 10/10 (I got it with the brioche bun). We went on a Saturday at mid-morning, probably one of their busier times. You stand in line to order, and we waited about 20 minutes in line. Part of our party was arriving late, and the staff were very helpful in getting us seated and through the line in such a way that half of us weren't done eating when the other half were just arriving! It was pretty noisy, but then, it was pretty busy. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. I got the Monte Cristo biscuit. It came with fig jam, to which I'm allergic. They kindly substituted bacon jam for the fig, and it was delicious! I also love that when you ask for cream with your coffee, they bring it out in a little pitcher. We stopped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised with how big this place is! The decor and ambiance is bright and welcoming. We ordered a few items on the menu and they were all pretty good. We started with the Vermillion Biscuit with bacon. The biscuit was flaky, flavorful, but a bit dry. We also had the Saint Mary biscuit. It was basically a fried shrimp poboy on a biscuit. The idea is good, but it's very impractical to eat. It fell apart more and more with each bite. The flavor was really good and the shrimp cooked perfectly? Last, we had the fried chicken sandwich on a jalapeno cheddar brioche bun. The bun was the best party! It was soft and fresh. The chicken was average but the chipotle aioli was very good. Overall we were happy with our meal and the service. As a plus, they have a huge gluten free menu! I had such high hopes for our brunch here but most everything except the coffee was just terrible. My chicken and waffles was a strange thigh that was rubbery and almost woody like it hadn't been cooked right or was not typical meat. The waffle was very gritty and although it was not gluten free, it sure tasted like it was almond meal. The burger was also pretty rough with a strange pepper jelly that overwhelmed the flavor. No fries or anything else came with it. We saw a lot of food being left on plates. I don't believe we will give it another shot. Service was non-existent. The parking in the strip mall can be a little tricky due to a few of the spaces being specifically for other businesses. When you get in there's a line, however you can grab a menu and review before ordering from the line, open seating, they will ask how many in your party to give seating suggestions, and the food will be brought to your table, little confusing at first if you're not use to this type of dining. I got the country breakfast with an extra biscuit, two eggs two bacon and potatoes with a biscuit and coffee, the potatoes shined here, for the biscuits the honey butter didn't go as well as I thought but definitely delicious with steen syrup or jelly, the California omelette was good, a whole half of avocado would have made a better dish, three slices threw us off, but still a solid omelet. We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately and asked if it was our first time visiting. The barista gave us a great rundown of how to place our orders. We ordered a biscuit, a side of bacon, and their Grits and Gillade, which featured pork with corn cheddar grits and a homemade brown gravy. It was absolutely delicious! Everything was fresh, and the flavors were superb. For those that have dietary restrictions, there is a gluten free menu available which was amazing! My husband and I ordered the chicken and waffles and I ordered a chicken sandwich which has a another name on the menu. I asked the hostess to direct me to the 2 popular breakfast items. The waffles were not fluffy and light. Instead they were hard and drenched in syrup. The chicken was crispy but the taste wasn't there. I really wanted to like this breakfast item. The breakfast chicken biscuit would have been semi-tasty but the biscuit was so hard it scratched my gums. When exiting the restaurant, I realized I should have ordered what appeared to be tasty in yelp, which is the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. So disappointed!! The restaurant came highly recommended I took some family from out of town to Parish Biscuit. I was looking forward to trying something new. When we arrived we were greeted and informed about the ordering process. We gave our order and was directed to be seated. The food arrived and the order was wrong & missing parts and the food was lukewarm. We told the waitress. Steve comes to the table and ask what was missing. I told him what we needed exactly. He comes back to the table and my order is still wrong. I ordered grits instead of potatoes. He said just keep it and I will bring the grits. He was so nonchalant about it. At that point I realized he had no intention of getting the correct food. The plate put before me was not appealing The food was cold. What was the point of you coming to take my order if you were just going to bring me a plate that was already fixed and cold. Half the table had finished their food. At this point I lost my appetite and could not finish my food. I wasted $25 dollars for this!!! The total cost of the table was $72 plus we tipped them. The other guest at the table were disappointed as well. Their food was not hot either. This is the first restaurant we have ever had cold breakfast at. We will not be back. read more
