I had a wonderful experience here! I had a 10 am appointment for a gel manicure and I was done by 10:30. My nail tech was very meticulous (which I appreciate with nails!) and definitely took her time to make sure everything looked good. Also, they're very clean! I haven't gotten my nails done in 4 years. This was a trip that was way overdue. I decided to get a pedicure today for an early birthday present to myself. They have so many beautiful color choices! I went with a iridescent purple color. The chairs were super clean, and they use disposable liners in the foot tubs. The chairs were super comfy and gave me an awesome message while I got my feet done. The lady was so nice and gentle with me. When she was finished he asked me if I liked it, which was so great! I really really wanted to like this place. I walked in to friendly faces, the environment was nice and super clean. I didn't have to wait for my appointment to start. My acrylics were shaped well--but then I got gel polish. I have never had a bad experience with gel in the past. But as this worker was painting my nails, I noticed it looked very gloopy and uneven. I decided to not worry about it, it was only the first coat. But by the second coat it got worse. I kept hoping he would notice himself (it was very obvious the nails did not look like professional quality). After they were dried under the light, I held them up to my face to get a better look and I was disappointed. They looked awful. This worker asked me how I liked them, and being a person that does not want to be rude or "make a scene" I simply said "I don't like how this looks, the polish is gathered in some places and looks a little streaky." I was met with "Yeah, I'm not sure why it looks like that, it's the gel color you picked." This broke my heart. I had such a good time getting them done but when I realized how bad they looked, I was not helped. No "Sorry" or "Let me fix it." I was in essence told it was my fault, AND paid $45. And on top of it, I'm getting engagement pictures tomorrow with nails that make me cry looking at. I tipped because that's the kind of person I am, but I am so disappointed. Update: I had been to Paris nails several times and had to wait or received poor service when I posted my review. The owner messaged me and asked me to remove it and I didn't because yelp is about honest reviews whether they are good or bad. This morning I woke up to a message from someone (Sonya D from Hoover, Alabama) that must work for them or know them trying to bully me into removing my review. This is the only shop I have ever given a poor review to and the only one in Alabama that I've reviewed. This is an embarrassment to the shop and shows what kind of people you really are. The first experience I had was great. I asked for the exact same thing I asked for today "dip with tip" and was pleased and charged $40 and added a $10 tip to that! This is the second time I was back. I had Jack work on me and from the start I felt like an inconvenience. Over the nails are okay. A bit shorter than what I expected and when he cut them they were fine but it's when he filed them they lost length. He also cut me twice with his manual file because he was working too fast then had to clean up blood. Then I was charged $51. To be fair, I still tipped 15% because I don't like people who don't tip service industry workers. I'm disappointed overall and I'm young. This nail salon is one in a million. I have been here twice. I was excited about the atmosphere, very modern, tastefully decorated - from the marble floor to the chandeliers. The color selection is great, regular polish, gel polish, and dips, they have it all. I have received services from two different nail techs and loved both of them! You can not ask for more when it is a small business grinding away in a big(ish) city!! Today, I desperately needed an eye brow wax, that service came with a mini head massage - it was amazing!! The lady that did my pedicure rushed through the entire pedicure (the massage and the salt scrub might have lasted 30 seconds each). She also kept demanding that I hold my straight legs up because she did not want to hold it (took the entire relaxation experience away). I got gel put on my toenails and it the polish looks bumpy and awful. Then, I ask for BRIGHT white SNS dip powder on my fingernails and he puts simple white (so my fingernails already have a yellowish tint before I ever leave the nail salon. $110 bucks later and I have never been more dissatisfied after leaving a nail salon. This place is a hidden gem! They do amazing work and it's so clean inside! There's none of that acrylic nail smell. They use hot stones in their basic pedicure and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants an upscale spa pedicure at a fantastic price. $35 for what you get is a steal. I have yet to wait to get any service done but I would wait if I had to because they are a huge step above the rest of the nail salons in Vestavia. We got 3 pedicures and a dip manicure. The guy doing my pedicure nicked me a few times when he was sanding/buffing my nails. Ow! Then we he was doing my cuticles, he pinched my skin. My mom got dip for the 1st time. A man started out then left her. So she sat there for 14 minutes or so. I have never had to wait like that when I have had dip. We had appts so not sure why she had to wait. A lady came to finish- she nicked my mom not once but twice. Ouch! My mom said after her nails hurt. My daughter and I have had dip several times and never had it hurt. My daughter's and niece's pedicures were fine. The ladies did a good job. They were all very nice. We did not complain to them. We just won't go back and don't recommend them. read more

My sister and I checked out Paris Nails for the first time last night, and we will definitely be making this our regular place! Jack and his team were extremely nice and the place was very clean. I really enjoyed my dip powder mani and pedi! The tools they used to remove our dip powder was so much better than other places we've been to: I'm used to drilling and scraping, leaving my nails feeling weak afterward. I contemplated for a while between various places to go and get a pedicure. Finally, I decided to try here and they're stuck with me now. Upon calling to see what the pedicure included, I was SHOOKETH when I was told it included a hot stone massage. Now that the pedicure is over, the hot stones were only icing on the cake. A basic pedicure included soaking followed by normal cuticle removal/repair and the normal fix ins, but there was also a scrub from the knee down as well as an extensive massage and I do mean extensive. The hot stones were at the end. Kelly is who did my pedicure and she was BOMB. She was kind and engaging, but also didn't talk from beginning to end so a great balance. If you're contemplating between here and somewhere else, choose here. You will get the most of your money! This is my first yelp review and I had to write one because it was that good! read more
