On 10/22/22, I patronized Paris Nail's for a Medicare with acrylic overlay and pedicure. My Medicare and pedicure was done by Hollie. During the service she seem to be nice. However, when I called to report my nails breaking off after six days I found out that she is not kind. Today, I arrived to the shop at 12:10 pm per her request I waited five minutes at the door with no one acknowledging my presence although Hollie saw me standing at the door. I had to say hello to be acknowledged by her colleague who then told Hollie I was here for her. Hollie came to the gated door, holding onto the rails with both hands. She did not open the door to speak to me. I had to speak to her through the door. Hollie stated I will be charged to fix my nails because I nails were done " along time ago", " my nails broke because my nails have not been done in a long time". And, " I needed to be gentle with my nails". I responded reminding her my nails were done on 10/22/22. Furthermore, I spoke to her on the phone on 10/26 to report my broken nails. During the call I asked her will I be charged to fix my nails she stated " she will see" when I come. Not only did I waste my gas to drive to her nail shop. I was spoken to through a door with bars as if I was a threat. At no point did I raise my voice or show aggression during the conversation. I said thank you and walked away. Wait took forever. My guy was good at shaping acrylics but the cuticle trimming and painting was bad. My cuticles are still hangnaily and one finger bled. The polish isn't layered evenly as well. Then I got dust in the polish from the fan and he put top coat on it instead of redoing that nail... not sure if he felt rushed bc I waited a long time or if there's a different answer. read more

I've come here several times to get my eyebrows done which were always done well. Tonight I stopped for a fill & pedicure because my regular nail tech is away. It all started well until I saw many errors and asked them to be corrected. The lady who did my pedicure was argumentative & rude when I asked her to fix the polish on my toes, she was highly offended & blamed my cuticle instead of just redoing the polish. My French tip looked like my 4yr old granddaughter did it. When I pointed out that my nails were thick & the lines were crooked the male tech was upset and told me that's how it's supposed to look, as if this was my first time getting French tip. The customer service was good, but the wait is not for the faint. I really lucked up and I walked in at the perfect time. This was around 230 (thinking I'd beat the after work rush. While I was there, the place filled up quickly and they don't have a large waiting area. Really I think they are a tad more expensive than other places that do an equally good job. I didn't get any extra special treatment from them, such as hot towels, foot massage or hand massage. Just basic manicure and pedicure. The manicure and pedicure was very thorough as far as the cuticles, shaping and polishing. Some people find the nail shop as a relaxing experience, whereas I don't. So I want to get my services and get out. My pedicure was done by one of the sisters and then after my pedicure I received my manicure from the other sister. I much prefer to have them done at the same time. The Pedicure is given in the spa chair so getting a second person to do the manicure at the same time is not a tough thing to do. But it seems they are under staffed or overbooked. Even if they hired an extra hand or two, the problem then would be the space size. They seem to be very popular, so moving to a larger space would not be a bad idea. It's a family owned business and everyone is family which is cool, but for the amount of clientele they need more people or to do appointments only. I was there about 2 hours for a manicure and pedicure, and the first person in after me was still waiting after I left. Sometimes you walk in & have the most pleasant experience & other times you are ready to walk out. Kevin does the best nails & Mindy does the best feet. On a good day Kevin will take his time & shape your nails & other days he is rushing. He usually has a looong line of women waiting for him. They get the order in which the customers came wrong so often there is back & forth about who came when. During a week right before a holiday you will wait a minimum of 2 hours to get in the chair. Kevin will be in a rush so you may not get things exactly the way you wanted. What usually happens with me is I will notice the affects of his rushing a few days later. You have to get an expensive spa pedicure. There is no other option. There isn't any foot scrub, no massage & no sea salt in the foot soak. But your hands & feet will look nice, it's pricy but sometimes it's worth it. The place is small. The staff are all closely related so don't go talking shit about one to the other. This time I was serviced by a man, the pedicure was over before others that started before me, my toes look like a child painted them the sides have no polish, not polished near the cuticles at all. I love this place. I mean truly, truly love this place. I love this place so much that even though I curse under my breath because the wait is over 2 hours, I sit right on down and actually wait! I've been coming to Paris nails for over a decade (I am loyal, thank you very much!). Why? Because they do such an amazing job. You will undoubtedly walk out of there with at least two more pretty points than you walk in with! Even if you don't need the pretty points, go anyway! I recently moved into the area and was looking for a nail salon! 1st visit- looked at the reviews and knew I would have to wait! Didn't think it would be an hr. Then the girl gel painted my skin at the cuticle. I thought "maybe it was just this particular girl, I should give em a second try" 2nd visit-l went back a week later to change the chop shop of a color she gave me. After 2 days my white gel polish started chipping, air bubbles were popping out from under the polish and the rest of the polish was simply cracking I went back after the 3 days to show the manager the disaster called my nails and she dismissively told me to sit down, wait and they would fix only the ones chipping. Mind you, its a busy Saturday and the wait is 30mins...I have things to do and only came to inform her of the poor condition my nails were in! I asked if I could come back...I cant wait around. She insisted no! I thanked her for her excellent customer service and walked out! Wrong and strong is not a good look! I will never return and would not recommend!! *In addition, the parking is bad. *The employees try to deceive you with the convenient timing of a language barrier (Its hilarious...Ive seen it happen at least 3x on both my visits) *They dont properly wash out the foot bath tub..I had to to tell my girl to get a cloth and scrub my tub. Michelle does some freestyle designs that are the best. I've been to other nail shops but I always end up back here. I just moved to LA so I was nervous to find a nail salon as good as my one back home. This salon is a five minute walk from my house so I decided to give it a try. I was super excited when they were able to take me without an appointment; I was seated immediately in the pedicure chair! The nail lady was very meticulous and took her time. She was not shy when it came to the callus remover (always love getting the dead skin off!) She made sure my french pedicure was perfectly straight and would not let me leave until the polish was dry. I've been going to this Nail shop for over 12 years now so it really saddens me to write this. I swore by this nail shop and these ladies Michelle, Grace, Holly and Mindy! Once you get to know them personally they are generally really sweet. Well I went there last week on my day off for my regular mani, pedi, and eyebrows FOR THE LAST TIME. I prefer Mindy for my pedi but I'll take any of these ladies for my pedi if Mindy is busy, and Grace or Michelle for my mani and any of them can do my eyebrows. I get really bad ingrown toenails and I NEED them to be properly taken care of every two weeks so I can't and don't just go to anybody. On this day I arrived at 11:15. Side note: Don't ever get there when they are "supposed" to open at 10. There is a parking lot line that starts at 9 and they don't generally get there until 10:45ish. And the person who usually opens the door is the low man on the totem pole so you still have to wait until they get there. The good and bad thing about them is the take their time so there could be a room full of people but they equally give everyone time and attention. Sometimes too much. When you're in demand, you gotta all be there on time and multitask and (not rush) but use better time management because there is a room full of 15 other people, most waiting to get a mani, pedi, and eyebrows... They don't take appointments and they don't stop someone to do your eyebrows real quick. You have to wait at least an hour or 2 to even sit in the chair and when you do get there you need another 2 hours before you're gone. So you just have to pray you get there at the perfect time which is never. I get there on 8/27/15 (MY ONLY DAY OFF) at 11:15. Mindy is busy and there is another girl waiting for her. I can't afford to spend my only off day in the nail shop all day. So I figured when Grace or Holly were done I was next since the only other girl there was waiting for Mindy... 4 new clients come in the shop and when Grace finishes she asks one of the new ladies what they need. I immediately asked her why wasn't I next and why couldn't she do me since I'd been waiting the longest and it was now 1:30pm. She immediately got defensive and said "well you requested Mindy and since u want her I won't do you anymore." I tried to clear it up saying I've never said Mindy is the only one who I want. I just requested her a certain day because she was the next available and when people come in to wait they start letting you know exactly who they are waiting for. Plus Mindy was STILL working on this older lady and STILL had another girl waiting who had been there before I was. So I couldn't wait. Needless to say she would not take me. I tried to let her know maybe it was a misunderstanding (especially because of the language and cultural differences) but to no avail. Kevin stepped in and asked who I usually went to and I told him I will go to Grace, Mindy, or Holly... He said don't worry the next one will be with you. So Michelle took me and gave my a manicure. Then I had to go wait again. By this time it was 2:15. Then Holly finished her client and started new water that i JUST knew was for me. She too looked past me to the next lady and told her to come pick her color. This is when I just went to the register and asked to pay for my manicure. They were all shocked and immediately started talking about me in their language. Mindy had just taken this other lady and she looks up at me and said "you're not gonna wait for me" I said "No Mindy I'm not... I've been here since 11:15 and it's now 2:30 and all I've had is a manicure. As Michelle was taking my money for my manicure I tried to re explain to her that I don't have to go to just Mindy. And I can't wait hours to get my nails done over a misunderstanding. I need to get out of there. She said well we're sisters and we don't step on each other's toes. She could see that she was losing me as a client and didn't care. I ALWAYS tip who ever does my pedicure $10 and my mani and brows $5 so I'm not you're typical $2 tipper. I've come to ONLY them for over 12 years bringing my dad, sisters, and a host of friends. Let me say this, their work is impeccable, but it's not worth mistreatment or disrespect. As a consumer I can spend my money wherever i choose. It saddens me to know that they let my business of $60 every two weeks for years go because the refused to take me and make me wait for Mindy. It's like they were punishing me and not respecting my business and the fact that I can go anywhere. They know I depend on them for my ingrown toenails and eyebrows. But no amount of talent is worth disrespect. I will never again give them my business I will search high and low and I know God will send me someone just as talented who will respect my time and money... And hopefully take appointments. I too work in the beauty industry as a hair stylist so I understand clients but I also understand good business... And these sisters aren't about good business! read more

Too expensive for a terrible location. I normally spend $25 for a mani pedi in Santa Monica at Main Attaction and they are great and the place is clean and they have tons of nail polish options. They have OPI, they have Essie. Here they had no options and when it came down to painting my toenails the lady didn't yet even want to use a base coat. I spent $35 at Paris. Simply not worth it. The ladies were Nice and friendly but it's just not enough. They offered me a free callus removal which I thought was nice but I don't like to spend $10 extra for something that I didn't need to begin with. When I first pulled into the tiny parking lot that Paris Nails shares with a few other businesses, I quickly found out that I wouldn't be able to park there seeing as how not one spot was open! Luckily I live around the area so I knew there was a huge parking lot around the back of the building =) When my friend and myself walked in I loved the small cozy feel! I've never seen a nail shop with wooden floors! Every employee was working on a customer so we took a seat. Just an FYI this place is super SMALL! One of the ladies said Hi to us and asked what we wanted to have done, which is ALWAYS a major plus in my book! To be greeted as soon as you walk in is alway a nice feeling. We got to Paris Nails at 11:30am and weren't seen until 1:00pm. The staff definitely take their time when working on each person which i've NEVER seen before!! Usually at nail shops when multiple customers start walking in, the staff start to rush to finish, and start on the next person. I hate that feeling, like you're no longer important enough to have the time spent on you that you're paying for . Anyways.. when I sat down in one of the six spa chairs I was greeted with warm "Hellos" and the lady working on me even helped situate my purse and coffee! LOVED! Her name is HALE. She took her time even though the salon was starting to get crowded! LOVED! I got a mani/pedi and loved how she did exactly what I showed her (a picture in my phone of really short rounded nails). Hale said "Whatever You Want I'll Do". Talk about amazing customer service! Finally! The only issue that I has was the polish on my fingers was a tad bit sloppy which I'm extremely particular about, She left a tiny bubble on my pinky nail, and I had to ask her to clean the skin around my nails to get rid of the excess polish in which she did without any issues. I was a little surprised that the spa pedi/mani was $35 bucks, I thought it was gonna be more like $26 or something lol! But I can't complain because she took her time and made me feel welcomed! We also talked a bit about her and her 4 sisters who all own the nail shop for the last 17 years I believe.
